The Daily Mail headlined the story of “Mopane” killed by an American trophy hunter with a bow. The Mail asks, “How could this savagery roar back? Six years ago, the slaughter of Cecil the lion by a Minnesota dentist horrified the world. Now, writes Tom Leonard, this magnificent beast has been shot with a bow and arrow by another trophy hunter.”

The article declared of Mopane, “Although he had a troublesome reputation in his youth, Mopane had settled down, become a father and formed a pride with a subordinate male named Sidhule, two adult females and six young lions.” The author used human experiences to describe a lion as if Mopane was a pathetic human who had turned his life around by forming a polyamorous family.

Hand me a barf bag. And a polyamorous family is more deplorable than the tooth-and-claw life of wild beasts since those actions are normal, but polyamorous living is abnormal for the human parallel.

While honest people can debate trophy killings to increase one’s ego, or as a personal challenge, etc., and not to provide food, that alone does not justify the ritually excessive reaction to trophy hunting. In Judges 14, Samson killed a lion but did not take it as food or trophy, but he will forever be known for killing a lion with his hands.

Generally, the killing of an animal should result in people eating the meat. Proverbs 12:27 says, “The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.” So, if one does not eat the meat (or give it to others), he is slothful: deceitful and fraudulent.

Most critics are not aware that usually, a trophy hunter’s kill feeds scores of hungry natives. That’s one reason, although not the main one, that people living in villages in Africa, India, etc., are delighted when a lion, tiger, leopard, snake, or such is killed. After all, natives live with daily fear while superficial, farcical, chattering city-dwellers weep copious tears over a dead beast who lives only to prey on other beasts and, at times, humans.

In the security of civilization, Americans respond to a trophy kill with chest-beating, caterwauling, and macabre mourning as they weep, whine, and whimper about the killing of a lion with a name! Since when do wild animals have a name?

African villagers don’t care who kills the lions, when they are killed, or how they are killed as long as they are killed. There is rejoicing when a lion or similar predator is killed. Stupid, sheep-like, non-thinking Americans whine on cue as radical animal worshippers play their silly tune.

African natives who live in constant fear of deadly animals, especially lions, do not care if a lion was lured off a reserve, or baited, or if the shooter had a license. They just want lions dead so they can live safely in their village. In a choice between wild animals and people, I choose people every time.

A Zimbabwean graduate student in the U.S. said, “In my village in Zimbabwe, surrounded by wildlife conservation areas, no lion has ever been beloved or granted an affectionate nickname. They are objects of terror.” He is right, and as the Apostle Peter wrote in II Pet. 2:12: “But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed….” It was not wrong to kill “Mopane.”

The hunter should be applauded, not attacked.

It is shocking the number of people who get more alarmed, anxious, and angry when wild beasts are killed than when millions of babies are aborted or children are shot each day in Chicago, Baltimore, Washington D.C., New York City, and other Democrat-controlled cities.

How about some perspective on this matter?

Alaskan health officials, in 2019, revealed, “68 people in the state were hospitalized for injuries sustained in 66 bear attacks from 2000 to 2017. Ten people died as a result of bear attacks during that period.”

Last Monday, a grizzly bear attacked a 55-year-old tourist in Denali National Park and Preserve. The tourist survived the attack. In July, a camper was killed when pulled from her tent by a grizzly in Montana. Again, there was no provocation, no cubs to protect. A backcountry guide also died from his injuries in April after a grizzly attacked him in Yellowstone National Park. There have been eight reported bear attacks in 2021—two resulting in fatalities. Authorities are very concerned about bears in American cities invading homes and swimming pools.

Humans have been attacked by wild creatures since Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden in disgrace. The snake has never been a friend to mankind since that time.

While attacks by bears, sharks, and alligators make the news, the lowly mosquito is the deadliest creature to man. They are responsible for about one million deaths each year globally.

It’s acceptable to swat or spray a mosquito, but we must leave “noble” beasts alone.

Since July 1, 2021, there have been at least 22 shark attacks in the U.S. and 42 attacks worldwide, and five were fatal.

No bear, shark, alligator, or mountain lion is worth the life of one precious child—or adult, and I am weary of animal rights fanatics rushing to the defense of vicious predators after an attack on an innocent human.

Fanatics tell us that animals, even the vicious ones, are equivalent to humans and should have the same rights as humans. PETA’s co-founder Alex Pacheco said, “We feel that animals have the same rights as a retarded human child.” Alex is not only common sense deficient but scripturally deficient because Luke 12:7 tells us, “Ye [humans] are of more value than many sparrows.”

We are told these predators are often confused when near humans. Sharks have poor eyesight, and often bears only want to protect their young. Alligators are simply defending their territory. Sure, like when an alligator stalked and dismembered a female jogger. Her arms were found in the stomach of the captured alligator. There have been 23 confirmed (plus 9 unconfirmed) fatal alligator attacks in Florida since 1948.

Fanatics tell us even bugs and insects have legal rights. Even cockroaches “have a right to live” and serve the environment by being “efficient little garbage collectors,” opined a straight-faced fanatic.

It’s incredible that sane people, hearing such nonsense, don’t fall to the floor holding their sides in laughter. Or maybe tears would be more appropriate for a world gone stark raving mad. And “nuts” is a reasonable and proper description.

Sharks are noble creatures and are “gentle,” and can be “trusted.” Yea, tell that to children who have had their arms or legs severed by one of those “gentle” creatures. Tell that to the parasailer soaring just above the water when a “gentle” shark leaped out of the water and bit his foot. Tell that to the eight humans who are killed each year by those “trusted” sharks. Sure, you can trust a shark—to be a shark—just as you can trust a loony leftist to be a loony leftist.

I suggest we capture more of the predators and place them in our zoos and wildlife parks. That way, they will be cared for and propagate profusely to be available for future generations. Let’s have zoos even in small towns and cities.

Then I recommend that vicious animals be considered what they are: a threat to society. Make open season on all bears, sharks, alligators, and mountain lions. Let genuine bear rugs become a status symbol in American homes. Few items are as unique as a well-made pair of alligator shoes, and with the killing of so many of them, the price of alligator shoes and belts would plummet.

I am not defending the torture of animals since that speaks volumes about the torturers. Children should be taught that a gracious God provided animals to provide us food, clothing, shoes, milk, etc. We know there is a connection with kids who torture animals and later kill humans. The Bible commands us to be kind to our beasts; however, there is a big difference between a cow or horse and a rampaging bear, alligator, mountain lion, or shark.

Remove the predators from society except for the zoos. Maybe even pay a bounty for each one killed! Get serious about human lives. It would also guarantee the existence of vicious wild beasts.

Get Serious and Put a Bounty on all Vicious Beasts! https://donboys.cstnews.com/get-serious-and-put-a-bounty-on-all-vicious-beasts https://donboys.cstnews.com/get-serious-and-put-a-bounty-on-all-vicious-beasts#respond Thu, 23 Aug 2018 15:26:47 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=2169 This week another victim, a 45-year-old woman in South Carolina, was dragged into the water by an alligator and killed. In June, another woman was attacked and killed by an alligator in Florida.

Enough is enough! Officials must make it less likely that humans will be killed by wild beasts.

Mankind’s main concern is to live each day without being destroyed by deadly bacteria, virus, and flying insects. Mosquitoes kill 725,000 people annually followed by other creatures such as tsetse flies, snakes, sharks, bears, alligators, bobcats, and fellow humans. About 475,000 humans are killed each year by fellow humans, almost all intentional.

Annually, snakes kill about 50,000 worldwide and probably far more since many fatal bites are not reported in remote parts of the earth while dogs kill about 25,000 people worldwide. Most of those are stray, feral dogs often with rabies.

Thinking people know that one human life is worth more than all the bears, bobcats, alligators, and sharks in the world. It’s time for state and federal governments to recognize that fact and put a bounty on all predator beasts near occupied areas. Or, at least make it legal for such beasts to be killed if found on a person’s property. Of course, we should fill the zoos and natural preserves with tigers, bears, alligators, snakes and other man-killers so we will always be able to enjoy them without them enjoying us!

In the world’s largest mangrove forest between India and Bangladesh is the only place inhabited with a large concentration of Bengal tigers–and widows in India. The tigers are the reason there are 3,000 widows in the region! Over a thousand men have been killed in the past few years by tigers. The tigers are man-killers. The Times of India reported that entire villages are devoid of all men because of tiger attacks upon men working in the forest resulting in an abundance of “tiger widows.”

The National Tiger Conservation Authority and Wildlife Institute of India reports that the nation’s endangered Bengal tiger population is currently about 2,500. Admittedly, the Bengal tiger is a beautiful, magnificent animal, but the grieving widows don’t share such enthusiasm. Tigers, lions, cheetahs, etc., should be put in protected areas surrounded by their natural habitat; then kill those remaining near occupied areas. To those who just gasped in anger and shock, I remind you that most of the world lives without Bengal tigers and similar predators running loose so they are not essential for a thriving life.

The Bible indicates that one should hunt for food since Pro. 12:27 says, “The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.” So if one does not eat the meat (or give it to others) then he is slothful–deceitful, and fraudulent. Vicious beasts could satisfy the hunger of millions of people.

I would break the “kill only for food” rule for dangerous beasts such as sharks, bears, lions, alligators, wolves, poisonous snakes, etc. For those creatures I say thin them out with more generous hunting rules; after all, we have plenty of wild animals in preserves and zoos. Kill a wolf and save a hundred deer and elk. Kill a grizzly and save thousands of fish. All the grizzlies in Alaska and all the sharks in the ocean are not worth one person’s life. In fact, put a bounty on such dangerous creatures! That won’t kill them all, but it will sure thin them out.

African villagers don’t care who kills the lions, when they are killed, or how they are killed as long as they are killed. There is rejoicing in African villages when a lion or similar predator is killed. Stupid, sheep-like, non-thinking Americans whine on cue as radical animal worshippers play their tune. African natives who live in constant fear of deadly animals, especially lions, do not care if a lion was lured off a reserve, or baited, or if the shooter had a license. They just want lions dead so they can live a normal life in their village. In a choice between wild animals and people, I choose people every time.

Animal zealots tell us that animals, even the vicious ones, are equivalent to any human and should therefore have the same rights as humans. Alex Pacheco, co-founder of PETA (does that stand for People Eating Tasty Animals?) and chairman of its board for 20 years, said, “We feel that animals have the same rights as a retarded human child.” Speaking of retardation! Alex is not only common sense deficient but scripturally deficient because Luke 12:7 tells us, “Ye are of more value than many sparrows.” Animals were placed here for our benefit. They are to be sheared, used as beast of burden, milked, skins to be used as leather, eaten, etc. They are here for us, not us for them.

People like Alex preach that predators sometimes get disorderly when they are close to humans. Besides, sharks have poor eyesight and don’t mean to rip a human in two. Often bear attacks are only bears doing the natural thing to protect their young. Alligators are simply defending their territory. Sure, as when an alligator stalked and dismembered a female jogger. Her arms were found in the stomach of the captured alligator. There are almost two million gators in Florida alone and increasing daily and getting more dangerous because they are being crowded by our expanding population. Additionally, alligators have no natural enemies that threaten them.

Sharks, we are told, are noble creatures and are “gentle” and can be “trusted.” Yes, tell that to children who have had their arms or legs severed by one of those “gentle” creatures. Tell that to the eight humans who are killed each year by those “trusted” sharks.

On July 30, 1945, the Japanese Imperial Navy torpedoed the USS Indianapolis splitting the ship in two. The crew was tossed or jumped into the Philippine Sea. Nine hundred men bobbed up and down on the waves and were soon surrounded by a swarm of sharks. When a rescue ship arrived four days later the rescuers found 579 men dead, many chewed to pieces. The naval survivors were picked off one by one over the four days by Oceanic White Tip sharks. Of the 900 sailors in the water, all but 317 were killed.

Sure, you can trust a shark—to be a shark, just as you can trust a loony leftist to be a loony leftist.

No Pets in Heaven! https://donboys.cstnews.com/no-pets-in-heaven https://donboys.cstnews.com/no-pets-in-heaven#respond Fri, 12 Aug 2016 01:33:28 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=1533 The “Fido in Heaven” crowd got some encouragement this week when a new study by three North Carolina State University professors confirms that if one believes in life after death he probably also believes that animals also go to Heaven. However, please note that such a study proves nothing other than people’s desire to have pets in Heaven. The beliefs of pet owners do not change the facts about pets and Heaven.

It seems many people are more concerned about their pets going to Heaven than whether they are going to Heaven!

I don’t want to be misunderstood about my position because I always had a dog when I was a boy. I know the camaraderie one can have with a pet. Of course, they should never be tortured although this generation has gone to extremes in building elaborate houses for pets, expensive clothes, jewelry, and even burying them in pet cemeteries after an elaborate funeral. I think that is excessive but it is none of my business how one spends his money.

The above is my opinion, now for some facts about pets and Heaven.

There is plenty of evidence that animals have performed amazing feats of saving lives, working as drug sniffers, and even “bird dogging” cancer. Of course, the daily invaluable service that dogs do for the blind and disabled is sterling.

All that said, such good deeds do not qualify pets for Heaven. Since people can’t get to Heaven by good works, we can be sure animals will not! Fido, Fluffy, and Felix may be lovable and worthy pets but they will not be in Heaven.

Two Evangelicals have written a book that posits the possibility that pets do go to Heaven! They state, “It [animals in Heaven] seems to be one of the biggest secrets in Christianity that our Western mindset has made it difficult to discuss what people in other countries as well as theologians down through time believed to be an important and theological question.” Well, in the overall scheme of things, pets in Heaven is not a major concern nor is it an “important and theological question.”

We are assured that “celebrated theologians and philosophers…concluded a long time ago based on these Scriptures that our pets most likely will be in heaven.” The authors reveal that Billy Graham, C.S. Lewis, and others believed animals would be in Heaven. However, theologians and philosophers are not Heaven’s gatekeepers.

Then the authors do some bait and switch when they declare, “there are plenty of verses in Scripture indicating the presence of animals in the coming kingdom of God.” Note the use of “kingdom of God” rather than Heaven. Then they call on Isaiah for help but without success. They go to Isaiah 11 where the wolf lies with the lamb and the calf and bear feed together and a child leads them. However, a sharp teen at a Bible preaching church knows that passage refers to the Millennial Kingdom, not to Heaven.

The authors continued in their downward spiral: “The prophet Isaiah is famous for this future glimpse depicting people dwelling with animals, whose aggressive nature will have been reprogrammed and tamed by God in the kingdom.” Again, the animals are “reprogrammed” for the Kingdom–not Heaven.

In desperation for support, the authors seek to make the symbolism in Revelation of animal faces a justification for the possibility of pets in Heaven. Real stretch! They continued their desperate reach by using God’s concern for sparrows in Matthew 10:29 (which is to show how much He cares for humans) as proof that pets will be in Heaven. So if sparrows are in Heaven then our pets are also; however, just because God chose to use sparrows to express His concern for humans does not prove there will be animals in Heaven.

We are assured that there are pets in Heaven because God spared Nineveh (Jonah 4:11) because of so many people and cattle; however, God sparing people and cattle is no reason to suggest that cattle, crows, and crocodiles go to Heaven! Or mice, monkeys, and moose (or is that meese?).

We are told that there are numerous horses in Heaven and “His Son, Jesus, will even return someday on one such horse.” About those horses in Heaven: Have they always been there? Moreover, who is cleaning out the heavenly stables at this time? Backslidden Methodists? Were horses taken there from earth upon their demise? If so, do all horses go to Heaven? What about donkeys, dogs, and dinosaurs? And yes, the Bible teaches that Christ will return on a white horse and if that is a literal horse, which the text seems to indicate, does that mean pets go to Heaven? Could not horses be created when needed?

Another writer champions pets in Heaven because God told Adam to name the animals and did not tell him to name the vegetation! No, I don’t think the writer was a theologian. Adam giving names to animals says nothing about pets in Heaven. “But Adam was not told to name the plants.” No, but it is reasonable for animals to have names or people would have said, “Be careful, don’t step on that long, slimy thing on the path.” Or, “It is time for me to go milk the ‘what-do-you-call-it.’” Or, “I think I will go for a ride on the beast that gallops and eats apples like Adam and Eve.’” Or, be careful or you will get stung by that flying ‘thingamajig.’”

Do only “nice” animals go to Heaven and nasty animals such as tigers, tarantulas, and termites go to Hell? I’m sure most people would agree that if there is an afterlife for animals then rattlesnakes and mosquitoes go to Hell.

God breathed into man not animals and Ecclesiastes 3:21, states: “Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit (breath) of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?” Humans and animals have different “breaths.”

Sorry, but there are no Poodles in Paradise, just people (and angelic beings) saved by the grace of God!

Disney Tragedy: Vicious Animals Should be Exterminated! https://donboys.cstnews.com/disney-tragedy-vicious-animals-should-be-exterminated https://donboys.cstnews.com/disney-tragedy-vicious-animals-should-be-exterminated#respond Fri, 17 Jun 2016 19:16:05 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=1472 Florida has about a million alligators and not all of them are in the Everglades. I think they should all be in the swamps or zoos, not in the lakes, rivers, backyards, and lagoons where they can prey on people like the two-year-old boy killed this week at Disney. Authorities took five alligators out of the lake where the boy was attacked.

No bear, shark, alligator, or mountain lion is worth the life of one precious child—or adult, and I am weary of animal rights fanatics rushing to the defense of vicious predators after an attack on an innocent human.

Fanatics tell us that animals, even the vicious ones, are equivalent to any human and should therefore have the same rights as humans. One such fanatic said, “We feel that animals have the same rights as a retarded human child.” Speaking of retardation, that fanatic is not only common sense deficient but biblically deficient because Luke 12:7 tells us, “Ye are of more value than many sparrows.”

We are told that these predators are often confused when near humans. Sharks have poor eyesight, and often bears only want to protect their young. Alligators are simply defending their territory. Sure, like a few years ago when an alligator stalked and dismembered a female jogger. Her arms were found in the stomach of a captured alligator. A few days later, two more people were killed by alligators in Florida. Last October a 62-year-old man was killed by a 12-foot alligator. There have been 24 confirmed fatal alligator attacks in Florida since 1973 with more than nine other unconfirmed deaths.

But we are told that even bugs and insects have legal rights. Even cockroaches “have a right to live,” and serve the environment by being “efficient little garbage collectors” opined another fanatic with a straight face.

What is incredible is that sane people, when hearing such nonsense, don’t fall to the floor holding their sides in laughter. Or maybe tears would be more appropriate for a world gone stark raving mad. And “nuts” is a good and appropriate description.

Sharks are “noble” creatures and are “gentle” and can be “trusted.” Yea, tell that to children who have had their arms or legs severed by one of those “gentle” creatures. Tell that to the eight humans who are killed each year by those “trusted” sharks. Sure, you can trust a shark—to be a shark just as you can trust a loony leftist to be a loony leftist.

All this nonsense is because of society’s anti-Scriptural world view. People no longer believe that man was made in the image of God and was given the authority to dominate the world. Let me remind the biblically deficient that God killed an animal to provide a covering for Adam and Eve after their disobedience. After all, those fig leaves had their problems especially in a high wind.

I suggest that there be a program to capture the vicious predators and place them in our zoos, swamps, and wild life parks. That way, they will be cared for and procreate profusely so that future generations will be able to watch them in zoos all over the nation. Let’s have zoos even in small towns and cities.

Then I recommend that vicious animals be considered what they are: a threat to society. Make open season on all other bears, sharks, alligators, and mountain lions. Publish the names and photos of those who remove one or more predators from society. Let genuine bear rugs become a status symbol in American homes. Few items are as special as a well-made pair of alligator shoes, and with the killing of so many of them, the price of alligator shoes and belts would plummet.

The argument is made about the balance of nature being damaged with the loss of these creatures but nature has been eliminating various creatures for thousands of years and we’re still here. “Nature” will adjust to the loss of these predator bears, sharks, alligators, poisonous snakes, and mountain lions that are in proximity to humans.

I have observed that most of the animal rights fanatics are very pro-abortion, so they think it is desirable to kill helpless babies in the womb; but it is wrong, wicked, wasteful, etc., to kill vicious predators!

Note that I am not demanding that animals be tortured since that speaks volumes about the torturers. All kids should be taught that a gracious God provided animals to provide us food, clothing, shoes, milk, etc. We know that there is a connection with kids who torture animals and their later killing of humans. The Bible commands us to be kind to our beasts; however, there is a big difference between a cow or horse and a rampaging bear, alligator, mountain lion, or shark.

As for the child killed this week: I wonder why a two-year-old was wading unattended (after dark) in an area known for alligators! Disney had been warned of the danger for years without doing anything about it. There were “No Swimming” signs but “Beware of Alligators” warnings were as absent as logic, honesty, and balance in a left winger.

Seems as if there are some unanswered questions that need answers.

Meanwhile remove the predators from society and put them in zoos, animal preserves, and swamps. Maybe even pay a bounty for each one killed outside protected areas! I’ll be delighted to take down my old bow and find a few arrows for the hunt.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had a good pair of alligator shoes with matching belt!

Boys’ new book, Muslim Invasion: The Fuse in Burning! will be published in a couple of weeks.

Leftist Loonies Love Lions Better than Babies! https://donboys.cstnews.com/leftist-loonies-love-lions-better-than-babies https://donboys.cstnews.com/leftist-loonies-love-lions-better-than-babies#respond Mon, 10 Aug 2015 17:57:04 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=1175 There is no question that hunting is legal and scriptural. If the Bible taught that killing animals was wrong I would teach that; however the Bible clearly supports hunting and the killing of animals. In Gen. 10:9, Moses wrote, “He was a mighty hunter before the LORD.” It should be noted that God killed the first animal and Adam’s son Abel made a sacrifice from his flock followed by thousands of animal sacrifices as commanded by God. Esau was also a hunter. In I Sam. 26:20 the passage reveals a partridge hunt in the mountains. So that settles that: hunting is legal and scriptural. In Judges 14, Samson killed a lion but did not take the food or a trophy.

I am not a trophy hunter, mainly because it is a waste of money and time; however, it is legal so I don’t condemn those who hunt big game. The Bible indicates that one should hunt for food since Pro. 12:27 says, “The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.” So if one does not eat the meat (or give it to others) then he is slothful: deceitful, and fraudulent.

What most Americans don’t know is that food from trophy hunts is given to poor villagers who are thrilled to have the food and delighted that another predator is dead. Then the great white hunter takes his very expensive “bragging piece” home for his office or den wall. The hunter is happy; the guide and aides have made a nice sum of money; the African government has made a bundle of money; and the area is elated to be rid of a dangerous beast. “Cecil” was an exception because he had a name!

Dr. Walter Palmer of Minnesota killed a lion, known as “Cecil,” on July 1 after which the global chest-beating, caterwauling, and macabre mourning started. Put into perspective it should be known that hunting is legal in Zimbabwe. It is alleged that the good dentist shot the lion in a protected area; however, he was led there by a licensed guide. Most African nations make huge profits from foreign hunters and it provides jobs for thousands of people and hunting funds conservation efforts that protect, promote, and provide for wild animals.

The African guide procured the required licenses to bag a lion and they purposefully chose an old lion beyond breeding age although the guide declares that they did not know anything about “Cecil.” The African guide said that Palmer “is a totally innocent party to this whole thing,” however, CBS News called it an “illegal hunting party.” No, as usual the mainstream media got it wrong–their specialty. And Palmer has received numerous death threats from the lion-lovers!

In the security of civilization, Americans and others weep, whine, and whimper about the killing of a lion with a name! Since when do wild animals have a name? Critics berate trophy hunters as “sick,” “disgusting” or “pathetic.” Maybe some are. Big game hunters are said to be “murderers,” but you can’t murder a wild animal. The animals are here for man’s good. Some hunters simply like the challenge of stalking and killing big animals. It’s also interesting that no one whines about an ugly anteater or similar animal but the “majestic” lion (with a name, even) rips the heart out of many.

I have seen big game in the rugged mountains of Alaska; kangaroos, wallaby’s, and koalas in Australia; and many wild beasts in Africa on and off the preserves. We watched many wild elephants, giraffes, water buffalo, hippopotami, etc., along the Zambezi River in Zambia. While driving along the river basin we saw herds of wild animals dying because of lack of food. Animal control is essential and hunting is a way to control animal population. In America more than 200 people are killed each year because of auto accidents involving deer. Obviously, there are too many deer in the woods. (Until you try to kill one with a bow and arrow!)

Moreover, Africans are the ones who must live with “Cecil” and other predators in villages still consisting of straw huts. We have walked through those villages where people face death every day from vicious animals, slithering deadly snakes as well as dangerous viruses in the water and food. Many villagers can’t go to the next hut at night for fear of being dragged off by “Cecil” or one of his pride.

African villagers don’t care who kills the lions, when they are killed, or how they are killed as long as they are killed. There is rejoicing when a lion or similar predator is killed.

This in no way suggests that one can mistreat an animal as Pro. 12:10 clearly teaches: “A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast.” A child should be disciplined if he or she seeks to torture animals because that indicates a later threat toward humans.

In Ex. 20 God told man to rest one day per week (after six–not five–days of work) but He also added that the animals must also rest one day! Man must show concern and kindness toward his animals that help in his subsistence; however, wolves, coyotes, etc. should be killed on sight.
Much of the anger over the death of “Cecil” is the left’s hatred of guns and any kind of hunting although they have no compunction to grilling a steak or chop. Such people believe their steaks, chicken and chops grow on trees or have their origination at a drive-thru.

Lions kill more blacks than White policemen do in America yet the non-thinkers, sob sisters, and general leftists of the world are mourning the death of a lion. It is interesting that most of those people never weep a tear for the millions of innocent unborn babies that are poisoned, crushed, and ripped from the safety of the womb each year while other body parts are sold to the highest bidder!

I’m an animal lover. Animal flesh tastes great next to French cut green beans and baked potato covered with sour cream. I’ve eaten many wild animals in North America and Africa: opossum, squirrel, rabbit, deer, moose, bear, crocodile, etc. I’ve also hunted wild game with gun and bow and arrow–without much success. Dr. Palmer should be praised not pilloried and for America to extradite him would be outrageous.

Zimbabwe is a black, dictatorial, Communist country run by a totalitarian, torturer, and thief, Robert Mugabe (“Uncle Bob”) who is a psychopathic killer. His one-party state is controlled by a North Korea-trained security force that has killed numerous opponents of Mugabe. For the U.S. Government to extradite Dr. Palmer would be the height of irresponsibility, immorality, and borders on insanity. Mugabe banned big game hunting following the “Cecil” killing; however, this week he lifted the ban after only ten days! Money talks!

A Zimbabwean graduate student in the U.S. said, “In my village in Zimbabwe, surrounded by wildlife conservation areas, no lion has ever been beloved, or granted an affectionate nickname. They are objects of terror.” He is right and as the Apostle Peter wrote in II Pet. 2:12: “But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed….” It was not wrong to kill “Cecil.”

One can only have so much rage so I’ll not waste my rage on the treatment of wild animals but on the mistreatment of  helpless children and innocent babies.

Dead Ducks: Sad Commentary on Society! https://donboys.cstnews.com/dead-ducks-sad-commentary-on-society https://donboys.cstnews.com/dead-ducks-sad-commentary-on-society#respond Fri, 25 Jul 2014 21:18:50 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=834 It is a sad but accurate commentary on society that people have lost the ability to discern, distinguish, and determine degrees of what really matters. Most people have lost the ability to understand what is important or interesting, and what is indispensable. And they put more emphasis on what is emotional and exciting rather than on what is important and indispensable.

The above can be supported by listening to most politicians, watching television, visiting a public school or college. And especially if you’ve killed a few ducks!

It seems a New Hampshire state representative ran over a few ducks outside a fancy hotel a few months ago. It is thought that the state rep had guzzled a few drinks at the hotel. The heartless (and maybe drunk) politician drove away, leaving the scene of the crime. Remember, they were ducks. I ate one a few nights ago at our favorite restaurant. It was also dead. Somebody killed it.

The erring politician had a friend in Nashua who happened to also be the police commissioner, who, after hearing the details of the crime, suggested that the state rep could wait until the next day to confess to his dastardly wrongdoing to police officials.

Then the state attorney general got involved in this gory crime. Did I mention that ducks died that night? It seems the general opinion is that the state rep who did the killing and the police commissioner who ran interference for his friend should both resign. PETA even prepared the guillotine!

The police commissioner was so broken-hearted and riddled with guilt that he did resign his position! He whined in a letter to the governor: “I deeply regret my part in the events…and apologize to you, the Nashua Police Department and the public for the disruption that has occurred as a consequence of them.”

The police commissioner did not rend his Brooks Brothers suit and throw ashes over his head on national television but he promised to cooperate “in any manner necessary with the investigation being conducted by the Attorney General’s Office.” Have you noticed that liberals are all whine and no spine?

A city Alderman suggested that the state rep follow the police commissioner in his symbolic falling on his sword. He added that the state rep’s actions had “brought a good man down” as well. Look, if the incident only involved the death of a few ducks, these people are acting like fools, fanatics, or frauds.

Yep, Daddy was right when he said that the world was crazy as a bedbug! He would also say that the whole bunch were dumb as a box of rocks. After all, a few ducks were killed.

Now, if the state rep was drunk as the news report revealed and he received special treatment from his friend the police commissioner, then both should go to the pokey.

Thousands of people are killed each year trying to avoid killing an animal. A Washington State Trooper suggests that if you can’t stop without swerving, then kill the animal. I agree because people are more precious than ducks. Also, my automobile is more valuable than a few ducks. Sorry, but that’s a fact.

A woman stopped her car on a Canadian highway to rescue seven ducklings and within seconds a motorcycle with a man and his daughter slammed into the back of her car. Both were killed. The ducklings lived.

Someone should tell all involved that rather than whine about a few ducks, it would be more reasonable to be concerned about  more than 3,000 innocent babies that were butchered in the state last year. Or about the teens who wander the malls and streets like lost souls with no purpose, plan, or prospects for their lives. Or they might point out the thousands of sick seniors in rest homes, hospitals, and hospices that are wasting away without proper care and are kept docile and soon to be dead without anyone caring.

Two months following the deaths of the ducks, a candlelight vigil was held at the hotel where the crime took place. It was a memorial service to offer, “a moment of silence in honor of our fallen friends.” Those people all deserve the National Goofball Award.

This is like the incident in California when a truck crashed and hundreds of fish died. PETA demanded a plaque to memorialize the fish! The sign read, “In memory of hundreds of fish who suffered and died at this spot.” Of course, California is the land of fruit, flakes, and nuts.

We must be concerned about our treatment of animals because Proverbs 12:10 reminds us that “A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast” yet it is permissible to use a whip on a horse according to Proverbs 26:3. That requires the ability to recognize the nuance of an issue. We must realize there are far more serious problems out there than the disruption, disappearance, or death of a few animals. Animals that are used for food, for goodness sake!

In New Hampshire, it was a fowl offence, but, then, all the ducks I have eaten had been killed. In this society you can eat ducks but you have to resign if you kill them!

Daddy was right: the world is crazy as a bedbug. Crazier!
