Uvalde, Texas, is draped in dreary, black crepe as city funeral homes struggle to schedule somber funerals for 19 children and two adults. Numerous families weep at the unnecessary, useless, and almost unbelievable loss of so many children and adults.

I want to know how an unemployed school dropout got about $5,000 to purchase two “assault rifles.” Furthermore, I want to know why it took 150 law enforcement officers about an hour before anyone entered the school and took down the shooter.

According to the Washington Post, the killer had shot his grandmother in the face, then wrecked her truck near the elementary school and shot at two people near a funeral home across the street. He arrived at the school at 11:28 a.m. According to the Washington Examiner, he carried a “semi-automatic rifle and ‘encountered’ a school district security officer, but it’s not clear whether they exchanged gunfire” as he entered the unlocked school at 11:40. Entering the building, the killer shot and wounded two Uvalde police officers as they approached the building. The carnage with the children began at about 11:45. Border patrol agents arrived at 12.45, and at 1:06, the school dropout was killed.

Numerous police officers had stood outside the school for at least 40 minutes after the gunman entered the school, causing dismay and anger in many parents who asked police officials why they did not charge the classroom. According to a Facebook video recorded by a witness and verified by the Washington Post, a group of adults began yelling at officers just before noon to let them inside since the police refused to enter the school and arrest the suspected shooter.

Border Patrol agents could not enter the classroom until a staff member opened the door with a key, a law enforcement official told the Associated Press. I think there was enough gun power there to shoot down or at least knock down any door. With 150 officers there, they could have easily gained entrance to any room. But the 150 officers were seen holding down parents who wanted to charge the school, but cops told them, “We’re taking care of it.” It took an hour for police to announce a Border Patrol team had killed the killer.

At 1:06, 21 people were dead, many wounded, and the killer was blasted into eternity.

Finally, after about 40 minutes.

One would be a callous monster not to be horrified at the event; however, unprincipled politicians, as usual, use the tragedy to promote their agenda, which is not safety but control of honest people. Decent people don’t kill innocent people. Bad, evil, wicked, deranged, selfish, angry, and despondent people kill with abandon.

And people taking a huge variety of legal and illegal drugs, including cannabis.

Many vacuous, vicious, and vile young people look for 15 minutes of fame on social media. If a state publicly executed one of those youth, others might get the message: if they drive a car or purchase a gun, they are astute enough to be held accountable for their actions.

My critics will suggest it is barbarous for a state to execute a teen and even more barbarous to do so publicly. Fine, then stop complaining and live with the barbarism as we have for 20 years.

The very liberal Mother Jones magazine sponsored a gun study revealing that two-thirds of mass killings since 1980 were committed by the “mentally unstable.” When such a person kills others, a court would have to decide the degree of culpability to decide the legal path to follow.

In addition to most mass killers being mentally unstable, gun-free zones almost invite killers to make the zones the target of their dastardly deeds. A killer is not necessarily an idiot, and of course, he will seek the softest target. Get rid of gun-free zones. It would be wise for schools, churches, malls, and corporations to announce they are gun-friendly, not gun-free.

If every gun in America could be confiscated and stored in a secure location, that would help alleviate most of the problems—except for being illegal, insane, and impossible. And then they would confiscate kitchen knives, meat cleavers, tomahawks, and swords as Australia has done. However, that can never happen, and any stupid politician or group of politicians attempting such a move would cause a bloodbath.

I am weary of hearing radical leftists whine about how guns corrupt young people and are a deadly threat to everyone, especially those in schools. However, the problem is not with guns but with people. Some woke parents are horrified to see their small children playing with guns and “shooting” each other. Has the world gone insane? I grew up “shooting” other kids. I shot them with wooden guns, cap pistols, sticks, and even my finger! I never considered getting my dad’s shotgun or .38 revolver and actually shooting anyone.

Gun safety and shooting were taught by the Boy Scouts and many public schools without any known cases of shootings.

I believe the world has gone nuts. Don’t the “experts” know that girls like playing house with dolls and miniature furniture and boys like to be more aggressive and play with guns? Males are more aggressive because of their God-given nature as a protector of the family. Kids should grow up with knowledge of guns and have experience handling them.

I am weary of gutless politicians, even “conservative” Republicans, who are so uninformed or desirable of liberal approval that they cannot defend the ownership and use of guns.

Guns are protected by the Second Amendment, which is the heart of the argument. Why do politicians act as if the Second Amendment is not part of the Bill of Rights? Moreover, the Second Amendment guarantees the First Amendment.

To suggest that the Constitution refers only to an organized military organization is an abdication of reality. The “militia” of the Second Amendment was simply thousands of farmers with a gun over the fireplace. The Second Amendment is there to protect us against the tyranny of government. Our founding fathers were well aware of the government’s propensity to evolve into tyranny, and they knew a well-armed citizenry mitigated that possibility.

As knees begin to jerk all across America (left ones, of course), let me clearly say that our founding fathers knew what might someday be required: our government could eventually become so despotic that citizens must do what they did in 1775! Yes, it could be that Americans might have to defend themselves against their government, and that could only be possible if those Americans were armed! That is the reason that politicians constantly whine about guns.

Despotic government must always be fearful of alert, alarmed, and armed citizens.

Radical leftists’ ultimate goal is to control people, not guns. Guns are the excuse. And their tears and jeremiads after school shootings are pure hypocrisy since they refuse to speak of the gun violence in major Democrat-controlled cities.

Guns are not evil, and only a fool or fanatic says they are. In fact, honest citizens use guns over two and a half million times per year to protect themselves against criminals determined to do them harm. Armed citizens kill about 3000 criminals each year, while the police kill about 1000.

I have never heard a gun controller (read: confiscator) tell me what they will do about the bad guys who will continue to have their guns when supine Americans are browbeaten into surrendering theirs. Does any sane person think the criminals will register or surrender their weapons? Since the police show up after a crime, each citizen is responsible for protecting his family.

So, what do I want to see? I would enforce present laws and keep violent felons in prison. People who are rebels against society should be separated from society, and that means throwing away the key for those who are incorrigible, violent crooks.

I would also like to see more guns in the hands of honest citizens! When the bad guys realize that the good guys are armed, they will be a little slower to act out their hostility.

When a shooting took place in a Mississippi school a few years ago, the assistant principal ran to his car, grabbed his gun (good thing the gun-grabbers didn’t get there first), and stopped a massacre. He should be commended, not criticized! Every school in America should have a couple of armed teachers or staff, and they should be paid a bonus for being protectors as well as educators.

A question for the gun-grabbers: Would it not have been desirable for one or more of the teachers at the Texas school to pull their guns and drop the killer before he killed so many innocent victims? Silence!

Moreover, every school should have only one public entrance with an armed guard at the door.

All sensible people would agree that fewer deaths would be preferable, but no one says the gun-grabbers are sane, sensible people. At least, I don’t. Gun-grabbers are fallacious, frivolous, fruity, foggy, fluttery, flushed, flimflamming, flagellating, feverish, frightful, frenzied, fraudulent, and foolish fascists.

For those educated in public schools, I am saying that gun-grabbers are fools, and intelligent people will not permit failed politicians to use a gut-wrenching tragedy to promote their leftist agenda of disarming Americans resulting in serfdom.

Violence is out of control in most cities, especially Democrat-controlled cities, and much of the violence is unexpected, unexplained, and usually unprosecuted. The shootings are typically done by adolescents, yet not one has been executed since it would be too traumatic for the public to see a trembling, weeping teen executed.

I would also be horrified to see a young person walk “the last mile” to the death room. He sobs, he shouts, he’s sorry, but he dies; and his deserved death could save thousands of innocent lives if a nation’s impressionable young people realize that they would forfeit their lives if they kill.  Society is not ready or willing to have young people executed since that isn’t civilized; however, they are willing to continue permitting innocent people to be slaughtered in the name of civility.

And permit killers to grow old on death row.

Something must be done, and I have a partial answer. First, I must place my tongue firmly in cheek and then proceed with my solution to gun violence in America. While frivolous, it makes as much sense as our present policy.

It appears school leaders, church officials, prosecutors, police, and other officials have lost all common sense, or everyone is on drugs. Or maybe we now have a generation of uncaring adolescents reared by unprincipled parents, educated by unknowledgeable teachers, and impressed by unregulated social media to fulfill an elusive, temporary fame that will destroy them and our nation.

It seems everyone is pretending to stop gun violence without making the difficult decisions to solve or ameliorate the problem.

My solution makes as much sense as the current practice.

A 7-year-old student had the gall to use a pencil as a pretend gun, but a courageous school official quickly dealt with the threat by suspending the culprit. Another student was suspended for “shooting” fellow students with a pretend bow and arrow. Hey, those pretend bows can be dangerous.

Are you getting the point? Certified nuts are in places of authority.

In another dangerous incident, a first-grade teacher was suspended for “shooting” his students during recess. Still, another student was suspended for a year for pretending to throw a hand grenade—an explosive situation. That was a pretend grenade. The local sheriff was involved a couple of times, but no one went to jail.

No surprise that our cities are in trouble.

Anarchy reigns in America’s schools, and something, anything must be done to stop the pretend violence. Still, it is encouraging to know that we have such stalwart, aware, and dedicated school personnel to “nip it in the bud” before it worsens.

If school personnel can’t or won’t take charge, the local constabularies will handle it with their handcuffs, nightsticks, or whatever to put down the danger.

It’s getting worse and more dangerous. Two 6-year-old students in Maryland were suspended for pretending to throw rocks at each other on the playground. Children start by pretending to throw rocks, but tomorrow they will throw them. It’s about time we got serious right here in River City about the violence that rocks (especially “assault” rocks) play in our society, and we must act now for the children’s sake.

It may be rocks today, but tomorrow it will be pretending to shoot with a pencil or hand. Then, who knows? A kid may come to school with a make-believe bazooka.

I walked out of our post office and saw a nine or ten-year-old boy sitting alone in the front seat of a truck. As I walked by him, I raised my right hand and “shot” him, and he fell over “dead.” I suppose I could have been arrested, and many would say I should have been arrested. I suppose I am too thoughtless and careless about the violence in America.

If we are really serious about protecting people from violence, we should ban all guns, knives, hammers, clubs (far more people were killed last year with hammers and clubs than with assault rifles), frozen meat, bats, bras (since one man killed his wife with her bra), and rocks. Especially rocks. I even have a rock patio and rock garden, so I may be part of the problem.

Rocks are really dangerous since they are so plentiful and easily attained. It is good that schools make a pretend rock-throwing action unlawful. Stop the madness now with a ban on all rocks, even pretend rocks. To quote Mayberry’s famous philosopher Barney Fife, “Nip it in the bud.”

Let’s not play around with this issue when lives are in the balance. Get serious and eventually ban all rocks in all places, weights, and sizes. If we save even one life, it will be worthwhile. I know the conservative bleating hearts will scream, but they are mean, mad, and malicious people. Who cares what they think? They spend all their time clinging to their rocks as they read their King James Bible, so who cares about them? They drive around town in their pickup trucks with a huge load of rocks in the back. What does an honest person need with all those dangerous rocks?

All sane people know rocks are evil. Children, especially boys, tend to throw rocks at other children, birds, cats, and innocent animals. Rocks are evil and must be illegal, and even pictures of rocks should be unlawful. There’s a place near Chattanooga called Rock City, and people actually pay an entrance fee to see and support rocks.

Scandalous!

Maybe not today, but soon, America will be rock-less except for the police, FBI, CIA, FEMA, IRS, BATF, military, security guards, celebrity bodyguards, senators, etc. Only the elite need rocks. For those fanatics who declare their right to have rocks, we can shame them into silence. Make them feel like criminals for having rocks. Put them on the defense; after all, only a fool says there is a natural right to have a rock. Many say they not only have a right to have a rock for self-defense or to kill dangerous critters, but they have a right to have a rock because they like rocks.

What normal person actually likes rocks? There are actually rock collectors out there.

It may be difficult to ban all rocks since the National Rock Association (NRA) is such a powerful and heartless organization, and all the rednecks belong to it. The NRA is getting rich from fees by selling memberships, coffee mugs, sweatshirts, etc. So, we may have to ban the biggest rocks and eventually ban smaller rocks when another tragedy happens. You know, “don’t let a crisis go to waste.” We must take advantage of every situation to finally take every rock away from every American. You know, a totally rock-less America.

For a while, we will require a license of all rock owners and have to settle for incrementally taking the rocks. We can charge large fees for their license; the bigger the rock, the bigger the fee. This will also give us a list of all rock owners and their locations. You know what happens next—confiscation. Why require a license if you don’t plan to pick up all rocks?

Arrest any person seen with a rock unless he has a permit to carry it until we can make it illegal to have a rock for any reason. Even with a license, the size and shape of the rock should be restricted. Some rocks are more dangerous than others. I remind the heathen out there that young David killed a giant of a man with a smooth rock, but David had a total of five rocks. It should have been illegal to have an excessive number of rocks. That is overkill. The law must stipulate that no licensed person can have more than one rock in his possession at any time. After all, why does a person need more than one rock? Such people are obviously up to no good, and innocent lives are at stake.

Rocks should be registered for size, weight, color, and sharp edges and kept under lock and key by rock owners. Of course, no felon or mentally unstable person should be permitted to possess dangerous rocks, but then no politician could legally have rocks. (Of course, politicians are accused of having rocks in the upper portion of their anatomy!) Not sure how small or large a prohibited rock should be, but we’ll leave that small detail to the regulators. Surely, we can trust them to be reasonable. Or a better idea is to put the Vice President in charge of all defense laws if we can tear her away from the border.

Until we can pass laws banning all rocks, we should close all Rock Throwing Ranges where the sole purpose is to become more proficient in rock throwing.  After all, such activities are dangerous and will destroy a neighborhood. Moreover, none of those ranges did an environmental impact study before they were built, so we can close them down without new laws! We should use any pretext to destroy the whole rock business—for the children, of course.

Rock fanatics will resist these common-sense suggestions and speak of never, never, never giving up their rock until it is pried from their cold, stiff fingers. Well, we can arrange that, can’t we!

There is little doubt that the first murder in history was perpetrated by a rock; let’s go to the root of the problem—ban all rocks!

And we might start our crusade with a rock buy-back program.

The shooter’s brother said Ahmad “had a history of paranoid, disturbed and anti-social behavior.” But being paranoid, disturbed, and showing anti-social behavior is no excuse for planning and carrying out a mass shooting. But that will set up his defense—he was nuts.

The National File reported Ahmad’s Facebook page included “pro-Islam and anti-Trump messages.” He is a Muslim Jihadist who hated Trump and was known by the FBI! I believe the FBI connection is getting to be a pattern.

The radical racists caused a stir when they jumped on what appeared to be an issue—a white male shooter who was handled gingerly by police when a black man would have been shot down on the spot. Then it was announced that he was a Middle Eastern man, not white. Many tweets were deleted by embarrassed racists. One was the niece of what’s-her-name Harris who tweeted, “The Atlanta shooting was not even a week ago. Violent white men are the greatest terrorist threat to our country.”

Whatever, losing the racial component, there was regret from the progressives because the shooter was not white; consequently, all the major gun-grabbers jumped on the gun control issue. What did you expect? They take advantage of every crisis to preach, push, and promote their leftist agenda.

Democrat Congressman Joe Neguse, who represents the Boulder area, said the slaughter “is truly heartbreaking and unimaginable.” He sobbed once for the victims, then added, “enough is enough.” Not wanting to refuse to take advantage of a crisis, he opined, “If we are truly invested in saving lives, then we must have the willpower to act and to pass meaningful gun reform.” Neguse added, “The time for inaction is over.”

Professional gun-grabber Senator Dick Durbin commented that the shooting spree and one in Atlanta last week have left the nation “reeling.”

Someone awakened Biden in the Oval Office giving him the information, and he responded, “As president, I’m going to use all the resources at my disposal to keep people safe.” However, gun control laws do little to keep people safe because they don’t control the bad guys. If they don’t have guns, they will use whatever is available.

Progressives rant and rave and rail against guns, but they really don’t hate guns. What they hate is “guns in the hands of those who will not march in lockstep with their ideology,” as so aptly said by Stanislav Mishin, writing in Pravda. That was Pravda as in Moscow.

If all of us beat our swords into plow shears while the descendants of Mau, Marx, Lenin, Stalin, and Hitler still live, we are fools and will become dead fools.

However, this recent tragedy has pumped up the gun grabbers, so they are at it again. Seeking to “protect the children,” they illegally, illogically, and insanely trash the Constitution providing succor to killers, and persuading non-thinkers that the trashers are the good guys, almost deserving sainthood. This is especially true of disgusting, devious, and divisive politicians who walk on the graves (as well as the natural rights) of victims to toady to the feebleminded for their votes.

The gun grabbers are reaching for our guns while the FBI, reported, “more than five times as many people were killed in 2018 by knives, clubs and other cutting instruments than with rifles.” But it gets worse: The data also shows that “in 2018, there were 672 deaths from ‘fists, feet and other ‘personal weapons’” which is once again more than with rifles.

Maybe we should ban hammers or at least register every hammer in every workshop. However, they will get my hammer when they pry my cold, stiff fingers from the handle. As to the fists and feet, I’m not sure what the dummies will do about them. I suppose they could be registered, but not banned and for sure not confiscated.

But who knows what Biden and Company will attempt in removing all guns from our homes.

Let me focus on the real issue: Is it constitutional for an American to defend himself against evildoers? All sane people will agree that it is, so how will that be done without a weapon? The left insists that only police and military should have guns; however, that is not constitutional, nor is it common sense. When you are staring at an intruder in your home, it is too late to get help from the police. As someone aptly said, “A gun in your hand is better than a cop on the phone.”

The non-thinking left really believes that you don’t have a right to defend yourself; however, politicians, entertainers, and others usually have well-armed bodyguards to protect them. We need more good people with guns.

The politicians are incredibly dishonest about guns, especially when they declare firearms as being “evil,” but guns are inanimate objects, neither good nor evil, but they can be used for good or evil. Likewise, humans can use drugs, automobiles, knives, clubs, etc., in a good or evil way.

It is so simple; it is embarrassing: People are dying because others are evil. Guns are not evil, and frankly, it’s stupid to suggest they are. If crooks don’t have guns, they will find another weapon. A man strangled his girlfriend with his dreadlocks. I suppose we should ban all dreadlocks, but that would be deemed racist. People have been killed with a frozen fish, frozen turkey, vacuum sweeper, etc., so do we ban fish, turkeys, and vacuum sweepers. Oh, all right, maybe those items should only be registered and licensed.

The best gun control law is to have many more Americans in the workplace trained and willing to use their guns. Cops can’t be everywhere, but Americans are everywhere. Yes, there will be some mistakes as innocent people get killed trying to help others, but not nearly as many being killed now with all the gun laws in place.

Gun grabbers refuse to tell us how passing gun laws will take guns from criminals. If guns were illegal today, how would that make anyone safer? If there were no guns available, the bad guys would use knives and swords as the Jihadists are doing in England. If every gun were confiscated, which is impossible, the attempt would precipitate another uncivil war between the gun grabbers and gun owners. Would all knives be confiscated? How about ball bats, clubs, rocks, etc.? There’s always that etc. to worry about.

Wimpy liberals lose total control of their thinking process when it comes to guns. It is better to have a gun and not need it than need one and not have one. Many wimps would stand by and permit intruders to harm, rape, even kill their family!

I took a vow to protect my wife, which means anyone in our home uninvited late at night will be presumed a thief, rapist, and killer. He will be shot graveyard dead. The following day, I will contact the governor of Georgia and ask him when he wants me to come to Atlanta for an awards ceremony. I assume he will give me the key to the city of Atlanta and maybe designate the day, “Don Boys’ Day,” in honor of my removing scum from our state and making innocent people more secure.

Don’t misunderstand. I don’t want to harm anyone and will go out of my way not to do so, but if anyone is injured, it will be the thug or thief in my home, not my wife or me. Is that too difficult for critics to comprehend? You see, all the bad guys have to do to stay alive is to not break into homes or steal property or shoot people, but obey the laws.

After all, that’s what I do.

So, let’s have more guns in the workplace, not fewer.

Oh, so these 3,000 plus school walkouts did not rise spontaneously without adult leadership! It was intricately planned, preached, and promoted by radical gun haters who used the tragedy of 17 deaths at Parkland to advance a leftist agenda. The student walkout was birthed and directed by the screaming feminists of the Women’s March!

Tens of thousands of students walked out of their classrooms last Wednesday to demand action on gun violence and school safety, with some students protesting in Washington, D.C. saying adults have failed them. A major demonstration is planned for March 28. Most nonthinkers consider it a noble crusade. I do not.

The student action reminds me of the Children’s Crusade in 1212 when about 50,000 children walked across nations in inferior shoes to take the Holy Land from Muslims. That crusade ended in confusion, controversy, and catastrophe.

King Philip II of France was holding court in May of 1212 at Cloyes, a small town in the province of Orléans, when he was approached by a 12-year-old shepherd boy named Stephen. The sincere but deluded boy gave the king a letter that had allegedly been given to him by Christ ordering the boy to lead a crusade to Jerusalem to remove the infidel Muslims from the Holy Land. However, the King knew there was no postal service from Heaven to France and told the boy to go back to his sheep.

Stephen disregarded the king’s command and began to preach a children’s crusade to “take up the cross” in defense of the faith and announced that children would meet at Vendome in 30 days for their journey to Jerusalem. At the end of June, about 30,000 boys, some as young as six, with a few girls, adults, and priests gathered as ordered by a 12-year-old delusional boy!

The crowd moved south, almost all of them on foot except a few of noble birth riding horses and Stephen who demanded a decorated cart in which he could ride. It was hot and no provisions were taken. They expected to be fed and bedded by the peasants who were struggling to provide for themselves during a serious drought. Many children died and others tried to return home but the remaining ones arrived in the Mediterranean seaport city of Marseilles on the southern coast of France.

When the crusaders gathered at the northern Mediterranean port, they were disappointed that the sea did not open so they could walk to Jerusalem as Stephen had promised. More crusaders left for home; however, most of them remained believers. Two merchants, Hugh the Iron and William the Pig, made ships available to them and when the children boarded to sail toward Jerusalem to convert the Muslims and take control of the Holy City, they actually sailed to what they thought were the holy lands but actually turned out to be slave markets in Muslim nations. Thousands of innocent crusaders were sold as slaves to Muslim sultans.

At the same time, another mass of child crusaders was gathering in Germany under the leadership of a boy from Cologne named Nicholas. He is reported to have attracted about 50,000 followers including more adults than did Stephen! These crusaders traveled from Germany to Italy across the Alps, and are said to have even met the Pope in Rome. The Pope praised their dedication and sincerity and told them to go home. Many did and died on the way. Others boarded ships expecting to sail to the Holy Land but disappeared from history. Nicholas decided to go home but did not survive the second attempt across the Alps. Back in Germany, his father was arrested and hanged under pressure from angry families whose children had perished while following his son.

The Children’s Crusade was the product of superstition, ignorance, and religious fanaticism. Children are not leaders and only thoughtless fools would follow a child across a continent! While they should be heard, it must be remembered that they are immature, inexperienced, shallow children. While the Bible teaches “A child shall lead them,” that refers to the millennial Kingdom. Children are to be loved, taught, and directed but never in a leadership positon.

The Children’s Crusade was a spontaneous and sincere, yet stupid movement opposed by or at least not supported by the Pope; but this modern children’s crusade is sponsored by the most disreputable, disingenuous, and devious radicals in America—the organizers of the Women’s March. Linda Sarsour (supports Black Lives Matter, sharia law, and teaching about Muslim holidays in public schools), Carmen Perez (said she admired a Black Panther that attempted to kill multiple police officers), and Tamika Mallory (praised Fidel Castro), are co-chairs of the Women’s March. Sarsour also refused to apologize for sharing the platform with Rasmea Yousef Odeh, a convicted killer of Jews!

Mallory and Perez are big fans of Louis Farrakhan, minister of the Nation of Islam. All informed people know that Farrakhan is the poster boy for haters of Whites and Jews.

Rasmea Yousef Odeh was one of eight who organized the Day Without a Woman. She is a Palestinian who planted four bombs in Israel that killed two men! She agreed to leave the U.S. rather than spend time in prison for lying on her citizenship application. She joined with several other militants as co-authors of a manifesto for a new, more radical form of feminism. Odeh’s co-authors included Angela Davis who supported the Black Panthers, was a former leader of the Communist Party USA, and wants to abolish prisons. A real sweetheart!

Such are the people who are manipulating the modern children’s crusade to remove guns from Americans but you didn’t hear that from the mainstream media.

This student crusade is even wrong on its face. Schools are a place of learning–not for indoctrination or social experimentation. Students cannot be permitted to decide when to disrupt the educational process. If they are permitted to do so, who decides what issues will be supported? Will it be the superintendent, principal, a consensus of teachers, the teacher’s union, or parents?

Would leftist media personalities praise a crusade to promote limited government, family values, Christian education, the death penalty, traditional marriage, adoption not abortion, and other conservative and Christian issues? The answer is obvious to all honest people. School officials would not permit students to do a walkout to support such causes.

Are all leftists hypocrites or are all hypocrites leftists? For sure, they are delusional! So were Stephen and Nicholas!

However, few agree on the solution. The only workable solution is to train willing school personnel in the use of guns but they must have a willingness to use them in defense of others!

The more good guys with guns mix with the general population at school, church, theater, work, etc., the less likely the bad guys will go on a shooting spree. Or, the bad guys can be stopped by one of the good guys before they kill.

Every school system should arm any teacher or administrator and pay them an extra stipend for carrying a gun to school surreptitiously. The bad guys will have to assume that all school personnel are packing. That will slow the number of school shootings. It’s only human nature. Cowards with guns don’t want to face trained gun owners. Remember that schools are “gun free zones.”

Dr. John Lott’s seminal study, published as More Guns, Less Crime, clearly proves to any sane person that the more guns that are in the hands of the good guys means more safety for the average citizen. You see, guns don’t kill people. Are you ready? People kill people—using guns, knives, clubs, frozen fish, turkey, etc. Gun control advocates are a menace to all and must share responsibility in the wanton killing of innocent people.

It is not difficult to understand that when crooks know citizens are unarmed, the unarmed good guys will become targets for the bad guys in schools, malls, workplace, and streets.

We have an example not far from my home that proves my contention. Since 1982, every home in Kennesaw, GA, has been “required” to have a weapon except felons, nuts, and those opposed for religious’ reasons. That law made the knees of every liberal in America jerk. Left ones, of course. Now if I’m a thief and want some loot, I have to make a choice what homes to rob in what city. Will I choose homes in Kennesaw or the suburb down the Interstate? Of course, I will stay away from Kennesaw, although no one says thieves are very smart—just as gun control advocates are not the brightest bulb in the house.

Twelve years after the gun law, Kennesaw doubled its population; tax rates fell while tax receipts soared. It now has a population of 30,000 and is home to a university. They did have a homicide in 1989 but it was committed with a knife, while a shooting which occurred at a motel in 1986 involved two out-of-state young men. They each dared the other to shoot and one did. They were drunk as a politician at a free booze bar. Kennesaw has had no murders in the last six years. Their biggest crime problem is theft from unlocked cars.

When a reporter asked the part-time mayor if the Kennesaw gun law would work in New York City, he replied that he wasn’t sure but New York’s gun control laws sure weren’t working now! Good response. Also, Kennesaw’s overall violent crime rate dropped by 50%, and they still have a crime rate about half the average of the rest of the country!

An article in USA Today dealing with Kennesaw revealed, “Still, the crime rate, not that high to begin with, plummeted after the law was enacted — by 89%, compared with a 10% drop statewide, according to published accounts.” After all, crooks may be crooked but most are not stupid. They know it is dangerous to do their thing when citizens are armed.

It is so simple that it is embarrassing: innocent people are dying because some people are evil and the gun grabbers are gullible, putting good people at greater risk. They don’t understand that the bad guys always choose to prey on unarmed victims as proved by Kennesaw. Moreover, if violent bad guys don’t have guns, they will find some other weapon. Recently a man strangled his girlfriend with his dread locks. I suppose we should ban all dread locks; but would that be deemed racist? Men have been killed with a frozen fish, frozen turkey, etc., so do we ban or license fish and turkey?

Wimpy liberals lose total control of their thinking process when it comes to guns. It is better to have a gun and not need it than need one and not have one. I want my grandchildren to be in a school room with a trained, armed teacher. As I consider this, I realize that most of my grandkids and great grandkids are either in a Christian school or are home schooled but I want your grandkids to be safe as well.

Many wimps would stand by and permit intruders to harm, rape, even kill their family! I took a vow to protect my wife so that means anyone in our home late at night will be presumed a thief, rapist, and killer. He will be shot graveyard dead. The following day, I will contact the governor of Georgia and ask him when he wants me to come to Atlanta for an awards ceremony. I assume he will give me the key to the city of Atlanta and maybe designate the day, “Don Boys’ Day” in honor of me removing scum from our state and making innocent people more secure.

Don’t misunderstand. I don’t want to harm anyone and will go out of my way not to do so, but if anyone is going to be harmed, it will be the thug in my home, not me or my wife. Is that too difficult for critics to comprehend? You see, all the bad guys have to do to stay alive is not to break into homes or steal property but obey the laws. After all, that’s what I do.

Liberal wimps, pacifists, and cowards looking for succor, flee to the Garden of Gethsemane in John 18:11 where Peter cut off the man’s right ear (he was aiming for his head!). Jesus told Peter to put his sword into its sheath; however, He didn’t tell him to throw down his sword or sell it in a silly buyback program sponsored by Jerusalem Anti-Sword Society. Christ told them that His time had come to die for our sins. No self-defense was required. However, liberals twist that passage like a pretzel to support fanatical gun laws and excuse their cowardice.

Gun critics don’t know or refuse to admit that one of the last things Jesus said in Luke 22:36 was for the Disciples to sell their coats and buy a sword! Why did He command that? Obviously, because they didn’t have shotguns in that day! A sword would suffice and He told them to have two.

In 1997, the Australian government took many guns off the streets in a failed buy-back scheme. Since then, the crime rate has soared! One year after the 1997 $500 million dollar buyback there was a 44 percent increase in armed robberies; an 8.6 percent increase in aggravated assaults; and, a 3.2 percent increase in homicides. That same year in the state of Victoria, there was a 300 percent increase in homicides committed with firearms. Not unusual since the good guys were at the mercy of the bad guys. While the police are often helpful, they are no help when a gun is pointed at you or your child. I would rather have a gun in my hand than a cop on the phone! Wouldn’t any sane person?

In fact, the Australian government told police departments not to discuss crime statistics with anyone. The Aussie actual crime statistics are twice what is reported in the media. Some American cities use the same subterfuge to hide their crime rates. Here in the states we call that deception which of course is stock and trade of politicians.

In Australia, the police can enter any house and search for guns without a search warrant and they can go door to door searching for weapons that have not been surrendered! The officials used registration lists to see if citizens are in compliance. In 1998, even knives and handcuffs were banned. I think the Aussies have spent too much time in the sun and it steamed their brains.

We have been to Australia four times, have traveled from Queensland to New South Wales to Victoria even a couple times into the outback, and have been informed that the buyback plan was a farce. Many people sold their junk weapons and purchased better, higher priced guns on the internet. Moreover, some fools who surrendered very expensive guns discovered that they were not destroyed but ended up in the basement of various police chiefs! Furthermore, various people have told me that guns have been buried on the property of judges and legislators, without those officials’ knowledge, of course, and when necessary that information will be reported to other authorities! When that happens, the judges and legislators will have to defend themselves against the charge of hiding contraband! Breaks my heart!

Heinrich Himmler of the German SS said, “Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA – ordinary citizens don’t need guns, as their having guns doesn’t serve the State.” However, we are not obligated to “serve the state.” The state is here to serve and protect us. School children should be safe as they study Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic.

No, gun control is not about gun control. The right kind of gun control is a person using both hands to control his weapon. Traditional gun control is about people control as accomplished by the British and Aussies. The people have surrendered control to their government, and a government tries to control its citizens only if it fears them. We should love and support our government but be suspicious of and fear any administration that feels a need to control its people.

Too bad. Australia and England used to be great nations, and I’m afraid America is headed in the same direction and will reach the same unsafe, undesirable, and unfortunate destination.

Dr. Piper reasons that the young men knew they were ready for Heaven but the savages were not so they basically committed suicide rather than take lives. But John is assuming that what the brave men did was the right thing to do; moreover that it was precedent-setting for all Christians to follow. That is two major leaps of logic.

Now I must add that there is no doubt God used that event to impress many hundreds of Christian workers to commit to missions. One of the widows and a sister of one of the men even went back to that heathen tribe and lived among them. Many in the tribe trusted Christ and two of the killers baptized the child of one of the missionaries in the river where the father died! After the son’s training, he ministered to the tribe who killed his father.

Their deaths impacted my life as a college student. And maybe what they did was God’s will; however, there is another side to this issue. Had the missionaries protected themselves and served another 30 years they might have reached multitudes more for Christ.

Whatever was “right” in that tragedy, it is no precedent for us today. We don’t decide “right” by human experiences. Lifetime principles are decided by the Bible.

Piper concluded that if someone breaks into his house the thief is “probably not ready for Heaven” so John would not use a gun to protect himself and his family! He ended his blog with, “I hope you don’t use your economic stimulus check to buy a gun.” No doubt he is sincere but he is also senile! His explanation doesn’t explain his position.

The threat of being killed will deter many criminals. Criminals gravitate to “No gun Zones” and our homes should not be such. If a criminal is “not ready for Heaven” he had better not be found in our home. Piper is a Calvinist so why is there a problem shooting an intruder “not ready for Heaven?” I thought the elect were going to Heaven whether they wanted to or not.

Moreover, if you have children ten or twelve years old, can you be sure they are “ready for Heaven”? By not shooting the criminal, he may rape and shoot your children who “are not ready for Heaven”! You have sent your own child to Hell by such vapid thinking.

Piper obviously has placed the possible salvation of a rapist at a higher premium over everything, even the lives of family members. Therefore, to be consistent, he should demand the state do the same. No villain, no serial killer, or terrorist should be executed. That means anarchy. God commands government to execute criminals without regard for their souls. After all, society is at risk.

He said, “No, I am not a pacifist. I am not a pacifist principally, and I’m not a pacifist actively.” He believes hunting is permissible and cops should use billy clubs and guns to capture or kill bad guys. He believes in the military to counter aggression but he is confused as to personal protection. A homeowner should not kill an intruder; however the state can kill with impunity. He has fallen into the trap that many shallow thinkers have fallen into: the state can be trusted but individuals cannot be. He is really saying, “The state is the final authority. I bow to the state and submit to it.”

When asked if he would use a gun to protect his daughter, he answered, “probably.” Probably! John, your daughter and wife are going to be raped, maybe killed! Probably! When you took a wife you accepted responsibility to pamper, provide, and protect her.

He then asked whether he should shoot the bad guy in the chest, head, or leg. Or throw the gun at the bad guy. He opined, “And I believe that fathers should protect their children, even using force. But if they can avoid killing somebody, of course they should avoid killing somebody. And having a gun is a good way not to avoid killing somebody.” That is the epitome of fuzzy thinking.

Since each Christian is the temple of the Holy Spirit, it is unwise to value the life of a law breaker over one’s own life for the dubious prospect of the thief trusting Christ in the future. The odds are unlikely since most people choose to not trust Him. That means the practical pacifist sacrificed the life of his family and his own life without accomplishing anything other than feeding the morticians or maybe purchasing them a new hearse. It also may mean that the killer will kill others who “are not ready for Heaven.” Moreover, there is no guarantee that the criminal will get saved after the pacifist has spared his life at the expense of his own!

Piper said, “We don’t need guns in our houses.” He is wrong. It is irresponsible not to have a gun. A gun is like a parachute: if you don’t have one when needed, you won’t need it again. Moreover, I would rather have a parachute and not need it than not have one when I need it. Same with a gun.

He finally said, “Those who live by the gun will die by the gun.” But those who permit the bad guys to have guns and refuse to arm themselves may die by the gun carried by the thief or rapist who can’t even spell pacifist. But they can fire a gun!

Although Jesus tells his followers in Luke 22:36 to go buy a sword, Piper argues that Jesus did not intend for his apostles to have swords in order to use them to “violently defend against persecution.” Maybe they intended to use the swords to cut their meat, to open envelopes, and to trim their nails!

Piper and those like him can choose whatever they please but they must give account for their actions. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord and I will protect them with the help of two good friends: Smith and Wesson.

I believe that school shootings, such as this week’s slaughter at an Oregon college, would disappear if everyone knew that each school had a few people who were armed and considered dangerous (to the bad guys), and willing to defend the defenseless. The answer to mass shootings is more guns in the hands of good people.

Guns are not the problem. People are. There are evil people among us. Pathetic pundits pontificate profusely proposing that vicious killers have to be sick–and some may be; however, most of them are simply evil. They do evil things because they are evil people.

We are living with generations of youth that have been dumbed down by public schools and emasculated of character (in home and church); devoid of purpose and without goals other than to satisfy immediate urges. They don’t understand that the urge of the moment will become the scourge of a lifetime: they distain education and live on welfare for a lifetime often with their posterity following them on the same destructive path. They satisfy sexual urges like barnyard animals and produce bastard babies that are themselves programed for failure. These lost generations don’t seem to be able to connect the dots: light a match to gas and expect an explosion; pull the pin of a hand grenade and expect a blast; rock a canoe and it will turn over; jump from a high building and expect to fall–and hit hard. Actions produce consequences, often bad consequences.

Liberals removed God from the schools: no prayer, no Bible reading, no Ten Commandments, no teaching based upon the Bible. No speaking of Christ. After all, kids might really take those teachings to heart. They may decide not to lie, steal, fornicate, rape, and kill! They might honor and obey their parents, the law, and school officials. They might become kind, gracious, fair, honest, and principled! Heavens, we can’t have that can we? After all, progressives demanded a secular society. Well, we have it and our schools have become ignorance factories, sex clinics, self-esteem laboratories, sports clubs–and killing fields. Furthermore, homes have become poorly run bed and breakfasts and our churches have become unprincipled, unbiblical, and unnecessary social clubs.

I am weary of hearing radical leftists whine about how guns are corrupting young people (but the violent and sexual Hollywood movies aren’t bad!) and are a deadly threat to all our citizens especially those in schools. However, guns are inanimate while people are initiators so the problem is not with guns but with people. Anti-gun parents are horrified to see their small children playing with guns and “shooting” each other. Has the world gone insane? Most of us grew up “shooting” other kids. I “shot” them with wooden guns, cap pistols, sticks and even my finger! Never once did I consider getting my dad’s shotgun or .38 revolver and really shoot anyone.

I believe the world has gone nuts. Don’t the “experts” know that girls enjoy playing house with dolls and miniature furniture and boys like to be more aggressive and play with guns? Males are more aggressive because of their God-given nature as a protector of the family. Kids should grow up with knowledge of guns and have experience in handling them. For sure, gun training is far more valuable than most of the fluff classes in most schools.

I am weary of gutless politicians, even “conservative” Republicans who are so uninformed or so desire liberal approval that they cannot defend guns and the use of force when necessary to protect the innocent and helpless.

Guns are protected by the Second Amendment. This is the heart of the argument. Why do politicians act as if the Second Amendment is not part of the Bill of Rights? To suggest that it refers only to an organized military organization is an abdication of reality. The “militia” of the Second Amendment was simply thousands of farmers with a gun in the corner of the house or over the mantle.

The Second Amendment is there to protect us against the tyranny of government. Our founding fathers were well aware of government’s propensity to evolve into tyranny and they knew a well- armed citizenry mitigated against that possibility. Politicians don’t just hate guns but they hate and fear guns in the hands of an aroused citizenry.

As knees begin to jerk all across America (left ones, of course) let me make it clear that I am saying what our founding fathers knew might someday be required: that our government might someday become so despotic that citizens must do again what they did in the 1700s! Yes, it could be that Americans might have to defend themselves against their government and that could only be possible if those Americans are armed! That is the reason that non-principled politicians whine constantly about controlling guns.

Guns are not evil and only a flunky, fool, or fanatic says they are. In fact, guns are used over two and a half million times per year by honest citizens to protect themselves against criminals determined to do them harm! Armed citizens kill about 3000 criminals each year while the police kill about 1000.

I have never heard a gun controller (read: confiscator) tell me what they will do about the bad guys out there who will continue to have their guns when supine Americans are browbeaten into surrendering theirs. Does any sane person think the criminals will register or surrender their weapons? Since the police show up after a crime, the citizen must protect his own family?

I would like to see more guns in the hands of honest citizens! When good guys are armed the bad guys will be a little slower to act out their hostility. When a shooting took place in a Mississippi school a few years ago, the assistant principle ran to his car, grabbed his gun (good thing the gun-grabbers didn’t get there first) and stopped a massacre. He should be commended, not criticized!

Now, a question for the gun-grabbers: Would it not have been desirable for one of the teachers in Oregon to pull his or her gun and drop the killer before so many innocent victims were killed? I wait for an answer.

All sane, sensible people would agree that fewer deaths would be preferable, but no one says the gun-grabbers are sane, sensible people. At least, I don’t. They are fallacious, frivolous, fruity, foggy, fluttery, flimflamming, feverish, frightful, frenzied, fraudulent, foolish fascists. For those educated in public schools, I am saying that gun-grabbers are irresponsible, dishonest fanatics.

If common sense is ever resuscitated, guns will be prevalent in the schools and those determined to do harm to innocent ones will be blown away before they blow away helpless people. Start awarding gun permits to teachers and school officials before more innocent kids are killed! We need more guns in schools and society, not fewer!

Almost all of the deranged, deadly mass shootings over the last 25 years were done by someone on anti-depressants or pain killers. Elliot was on Xanax and Vicodin. Side effects of Xanax (prescribed for anxiety and panic) are mental problems, confusion, hallucinations, hostility, thoughts of suicide, rage, aggression, and mild degree of mania. Vicodin, used for pain relief has side effects of guilt, shame, and depression, confusion, fear, unusual thoughts of behavior. When will we recognize that America is being destroyed by drugs–legal and illegal?

Elliot had major problems from his earliest years with everyone close to him contributing to his failure. He was born in England to the privileged family of Peter and Li Chin Rodger. His father was from England and his mother from Malaysia. Elliot lived in large, impressive homes, taking many foreign vacations. He wrote, “At the age of 4, I, Elliot Rodger, had already been to six different countries. Who can claim that, eh? The United Kingdom, France, Spain, Greece, Malaysia, and the United States.” And much of that travel was first class with first class accommodations in expensive beach hotels.

He was enrolled in an “upscale all-boys private school” (preschool) but he did not like it because he had to wear socks up to his knees! Poor, poor boy. He also thought the rules were “too strict.” Elliot confessed that he threw a temper tantrum at his third birthday party because his parents gave the first piece of cake to a friend. He thought that was unjust. He had to be the center of the universe. He got his first video game at age 6 and had “all the toys a little boy could want.” He had a nanny, and at one time, two nannies, until he was eleven years old!

A baby brother was born to the family just before they moved to America into “a big white house” in the upscale part of Woodland Hills, California. Elliot was enrolled in Kindergarten at a small private school named Pinecrest. His teacher required him to do some work after class (gasp!) so after two weeks he was enrolled in another private School. Quitting, along with whining was the main characteristic of Elliot.

Like most children he discovered that he got his way with tears. Eighteen times he wrote in his infamous 137-page manifesto, “I cried.” When he finished high school and was visiting in Morocco he broke down and cried in front of his step-mother’s family. Even when grown, he cried almost every day.

He was “absolutely shocked, outraged” when he was told at 7 that his parents were going to divorce. He wrote, “My mother and father got into a lot of arguments.” Shortly after the divorce his father had a “girlfriend” and Elliot was shocked since he thought a couple had to be married to live together. Hummm, I did too.

He began to accept his stepmother Soumaya (now a television actress) who was from a prominent family in Morocco, but he soon resented her because she presumed to discipline him. He didn’t like the rules she put in place. She even sent him to his room for an hour! (Wow! Call the Child Protection Agency!) After the divorce, he lived with each parent on a set schedule since they both lived in the general area.

His father, an assistant director of the “Hunger Games,” and stepmother Soumaya had a baby girl and later moved to a large house in the most prestigious part of Woodland Hills. Elliot chose his bedroom before the sale but was told that the baby would get the room since the desired room was closer to the master bedroom. Elliot wrote that “I was furious, and I threw a huge crying tantrum.” A few days later he was told that he could have the room he wanted. Elliot was at least normal in one respect: he learned how to manipulate his parents.

He wrote, “At mother’s house, I had it my way more often, and that’s how I wanted to live.” When he stayed with his father and stepmother, she often tried to discipline him. He admitted, “Mother always got me what I wanted, right when I wanted it. At mother’s house, all of my needs were met with excellent precision.” A monster was in the making! His mother even arranged “playdates” for him with other boys from school even when he was 16 years old! He mentions his “playdates” 27 times in his manifesto! No normal 16-year-old child needs or wants help with “playdates.”

At age 12 he played video games until 3:00 a.m. at Planet Cyber, a cyber café not far from his mother’s house! What sane parent or nannie would permit a child to be out until 3:00 a.m.? The video game, World of Warcraft (WoW) became an obsession. WoW is probably the most popular video game in the world. It is violent and features zombies, monsters, dragons, elves, and alien worlds. Elliot wrote, “It was all I would think about when I wasn’t able to play it.”

Elliot often spent five hours playing the game and his grades dropped precipitously. He wrote, “I was too absorbed in my game to care about anything else.” He later admitted to playing WoW 14 hours per day! Eventually, the game lost some of its luster and he wrote, that he “often broke down into tears” while playing. His stepmother tried to limit his game time and tried to make him do chores around the house but he “despised doing work around the house.” In that respect he was normal; however, children must be taught to work and be held accountable for the work.

Rather than playing violent video games, a young person should be doing household chores, playing with friends, going to church or youth activities, doing homework, talking with parents, playing with siblings, etc. In other words, learning to live.

On his 13th birthday he was permitted his first bottle of beer although he was given sips of wine much younger. As he got older, he drank often to hide from the world and himself. About this time a friend showed him pictures of “beautiful naked girls” and he wrote, “Ominous fear swept over me.” It seems from this time he longed, leered, and lusted after beautiful, blonde girls and hated them for not jumping all over him and hated and resented all boys who had a girlfriend. He could not be happy even with all the pills, passion, and privilege in his life. It is my opinion that he did not love girls but feared and hated them.

It seems all the adults in his life could not or would not tell him “no,” the most important word in the English language.

In such a time as this, God had a man. He usually does. His name was Samson, born to a very pious couple who had been without a child a long time.

Some tyrants in Washington are resting uneasily at this time in fear of whistleblowers, leaked emails, subpoena servers, and House Congressional Hearings.

The Philistine tyrants had already forbidden the Jews from owning any weapons and even forced them to have a Philistine sharpen their plows! Having to get the enemy to sharpen the plows was mainly to debase, disparage, and demoralize the Jewish population. Of course, totalitarians always prohibit weapons in the hands of citizens to keep them “on the reservation” without any means of gaining their freedom. And tyrants love to keep the hoi polloi in line.

After Samson’s famous, fabulous, and fearsome victory using the only weapon available, the jawbone of an ass, I assume the Philistine strongman made ass jawbones illegal. Maybe he started with a national register of all ass jawbones. After Samson’s incredible victory over the slave masters, I assume every Jewish home acquired a trusty, tried, and true jawbone of an ass for protection. The slaves were arming themselves! When that happens, tyrants don’t sleep well and have constant heartburn.

Jawbones are dangerous as proved by a thousand military funerals so the government needed to know where all ass jawbones were located. In the event of an uprising, all jawbones could be quickly confiscated. No doubt, there was also a movement to register the jawbones of mules, horses, cows, camels, etc., since they can be easily modified to become deadly assault weapons although not as deadly as the jawbone of an ass.

Of course, there had to be a “cooling off period” before any purchase of an ass jawbone could be concluded. Any Jew could slip into Gaza and purchase a jawbone and go on a killing spree, such as Samson did; however, the officials could frustrate that possibility. They could continue the weapons ban by making a purchaser wait indefinitely for his jawbone.

The more radical leftists thought that registering of ass jawbones did not go far enough so it was suggested that anyone with a jawbone be required to get a permit to possess one and an additional permit to carry. Questions must be answered: why do you need a jawbone? How large is your jawbone? How many jawbones do you possess? Do you keep your jawbone in a secure place? Are there children in the home?

Of course, anyone possessing a jawbone must purchase liability insurance at 100,000 shekels per jawbone.

More intrusive legislation would be considered that would negate the registering and permit requirements: no citizen can be trusted with any jawbone so every jawbone in the land will be confiscated starting Monday morning. That may seem to be a little hasty but not really since a thousand children could have been killed instead of soldiers. Always for the sake of children.

After hearing Obama, Holder, Reid, Pelosi, and Company use silly, senseless, and specious arguments to pitch, promote, and propagate gun control (confiscation), I am convinced that Samson is not the only person to use the jawbone of an ass to attempt to kill off opponents. Since Samson’s day, the jawbone of an ass has been very effective, especially is that true in Washington, D.C.

I am weary of hearing radical leftists whine about how guns are corrupting young people and are a deadly threat to all our citizens especially those in schools. However, I believe that the problem is not with guns but with people. Parents are horrified to see their small children playing with guns and “shooting” each other. Has the world gone insane? I grew up “shooting” other kids. I shot them with wooden guns, cap pistols, sticks and even my finger! Never once did I consider getting my dad’s shotgun or .38 revolver and really shoot anyone.

I believe the world has gone nuts. Don’t the “experts” know that girls like playing house with dolls and miniature furniture and boys like to be more aggressive and play with guns? Males are more aggressive because of their God-given nature as a protector of the family. Kids should grow up with knowledge of guns and have experience in handling them.

I am weary of gutless politicians, even “conservative” Republicans who are so uninformed or so desirable of liberal approval that they cannot defend the ownership and use of guns.

Some facts: Guns are protected by the Second Amendment. This is the heart of the argument. Why do politicians act as if the Second Amendment is not part of the Bill of Rights? To suggest that it refers only to an organized military organization is an abdication of reality. The “militia” of the Second Amendment was simply thousands of farmers with a gun in the corner of the house. The Second Amendment is there to protect us against the tyranny of government. Our founding fathers were well aware of government’s propensity to evolve into tyranny and they knew a well-armed citizenry mitigated against that possibility.

As knees begin to jerk all across America (left ones, of course) let me make it clear that I am saying what our founding fathers knew what might someday be required: that our government could someday become so despotic that citizens must do again what they did in 1775! Yes, it could be that Americans might have to defend themselves against their government and that could only be possible if those Americans are armed! That is the reason that politicians whine constantly about guns.

Guns are not evil, only a fool or fanatic says they are. In fact, guns are used over two and a half million times per year by honest citizens to protect themselves against criminals determined to do them harm. Armed citizens kill about 3000 criminals each year while the police kill about 1000.

I have never heard a gun controller (read: confiscator) tell me what they will do about the bad guys out there who will continue to have their guns when supine American are browbeaten into surrendering theirs. Does any sane person think the criminals will register or surrender their weapons? Since the police show up after a crime, who is responsible to protect your family?

So, what do I want to see? I would enforce present laws and keep felons in prison. People who are rebels to society should be separated from society. That means throw away the key for those who are incorrigible, violent crooks.

I would also like to see more guns in the hands of honest citizens! When the bad guys realize that the good guys are armed, they will be a little slower to act out their hostility. When a shooting took place in a Mississippi school a couple years ago, the assistant principle ran to his car, grabbed his gun (good thing the gun-grabbers didn’t get there first) and stopped a massacre. He should be commended not criticized! Every school in America should have a couple of teachers or staff who are armed and they should be paid a bonus for being a protector as well as educator.

Now, a question for the gun-grabbers: Would it not have been desirable for one or more of the teachers at Columbine High School to pull their gun and drop the killers before they killed so many innocent victims? Silence!

All sane, sensible people would agree that fewer deaths would be preferable, but no one says the gun-grabbers are sane, sensible people. At least, I don’t. They are fallacious, frivolous, fruity, foggy, fluttery, flushed, flimflamming, flagellating, feverish, frightful, frenzied, fraudulent, foolish fascists.
