Don Boys has a lot of hate inside him.

That said, Nelson Mandela ended Apartheid and that fact is what really makes the hate inside Don Boys boil over.

That’s an easy one, with many parallels. The “Jena 6” committed a racially motivated attack against a single victim, even kicking him in the head after they had knocked him unconscious from behind. Who was anointed as victim here? The Jena 6 thugs were, of course, because they are black and the victim is white. There was even a national rally for the thugs. (The leader, Michael Bell, even had his own family once call the cops on him to prevent a violent attack on his own sister.) The Jena 6 thugs were featured as honored guests at rap concerts.

Similarly, there was the widespread campaign for the execution-murderer Tookie Williams (co-founder of CRIPS street gang) – white and Asian victims. Mumia killed a white police officer in Philadelphia, so he has had a big fan club including Hollyweird celebs.

Reverse-racism rules everything these days.

Sheila, that is a great question that I have not considered. My immediate thoughts are: Mandela was more likable than Castro having had a smile that was worth a million; he was black which always helps with people who think that is important; there are far more blacks in South Africa than whites so it seemed unfair for the whites to be in power; his time in prison (which was his choice if he would renounce terror) was impressive while Castro has spent his life in luxury. I will peruse this further. Thanks. Hope you and Dan have a fantastic Christmas.

I have long been aware of at least some of this about Mandela – and totally confused about how he became a media darling, and honored by people whose intelligence is certainly greater than my own. How does Mandela get such a white-washing when Castro does not? But now that I’ve seen the media’s – and the country’s – response to Obama, I guess I should not be surprised. Still, I am perplexed at just who gets sugar-coating and who does not. Any thoughts on that?
