AMEN!

Too many Christians are wedded to the idea that WE must achieve specific outcomes (i.e., “victories”) in order to demonstrate to the unbelieving world who God is.

But the truth is this: We are only responsible for our efforts. Responsibility for the outcome is solely His. Regardless of what happens to us, our businesses or our families, He has given us Himself, and so we fight because we are called to the battle for what is right in HIS sight. Whether we “win” or “lose”, His will IS DONE, on earth as it is in heaven, regardless of whether or not we can see His work being done…and whether or not we participate in it. Believers choose how they participate, and then give an accounting for their choices when they have their face-to-face meeting with our Maker.

As for me, I would rather die standing up for the truth and fighting than die compromising or living out a self-centered, lukewarm faith. The very idea is repugnant to me. “What does the light have in common with the darkness?”

“Though He slay me, will I trust in Him.”
