You are one of those god speakers. You think that because you say it than it must be so. The fact that you were able to find a single Person who, at the age of 85 may be senile, agrees with your position, does not give it much weight. I can find people with science degrees who will offer “evidence” that smoking tobacco is not harmful, that marijuana is a gateway drug, and that the earth is 6000 years old.

Now all of these statements may, possibly, be true, but the preponderance of evidence indicates that they are not.

I am a conservative Christian and I love the Lord but here is why I disagree with you on this issue.

Gender identity not something that should be met with hate – I do not accept the choices a transgender person has made because I know that God’s word and his design speak contrary to what they are doing. What I DO accept is that every single person in this world is broken and struggles with sin. We have all sinned and I am no greater than someone who has chosen a transgender lifestyle. So how can I advocate for violence and bigotry against someone who is just like me in the eyes of God. I break God’s law daily and it is only by His grace that I can be redeemed from my guilt and shame.

In my opinion you are living out a modern day example of Matthew18:21-34. “The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant” I assume you are familiar with this parable so I wont regurgitate the entire story. One man has his entire debt erased and then goes and demands that someone else pay a debt owed to him. vs. 28 “But when that same servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii, and seizing him, he began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay what you owe.'” (sound like what you intend to do to someone?)

How does the King respond to this? He calls that man wicked and reprimands him for not having mercy on his FELLOW SERVANT as the King had mercy on him.

To say that you would bring violence on someone who is sinning against God is hypocritical and ungodly. His example of Jesus throwing out the money changers is completely out of context so I can’t even argue with that.

I firmly believe that if Jesus was walking the earth today the LGBT community is who He would invite over for dinner. Isn’t that who he ministered to in the Bible? Prostitutes, sinners, politicians and no doubt homosexuals.

I haven’t even gotten into Biblical Gender Identity and how I would approach a transgender person and this comment is long enough already. I’m willing and able to begin a discussion about that as well but another day perhaps?

Here is a video from a woman named Jackie Hill Perry. She lived a large portion of her life as a lesbian and then the Lord miraculously saved her and slowly brought her back to an understanding of her beautiful design as a woman and revealed her sin to her. It wasn’t because someone beat her up outside of a bathroom…It was God and only God.
