But then, the Democrat Party is no longer your father’s party. It is a totally different creature that Scoop Jackson, Harry Truman, and super conservative Larry McDonald would not recognize. Every member of my family in West Virginia was a Yellow Dog Democrat—meaning they would vote for a yellow dog before voting for a Republican. When I decided to run for the Indiana House of Representatives in 1976 as a Republican (a Reagan Republican), my conflicted father reluctantly gave his blessings and even voted for Reagan in 1980.

The Boys’ family thought that Hell had frozen over, but in those days, no one was interested in theology except me and I knew better. But it was a big deal for Dad to vote Republican.

Many years later, I left the GOP because the Grand Old Party morphed into the Grand Old Progressives, so I even wonder how principled Republicans can stay in that party. But in spades for Democrats.

Surely decent Democrats are embarrassed almost daily by their leaders making outrageous charges simply to score points with their dumb, deceived, and the delusional members. Their actions during the Supreme Court Hearings, their political ads, and their nonsensical accusations during the political season make a buzzard sitting on a dead carcass look like the essence of elegance.

While people in both parties can disagree about tariffs, foreign policy, and the deficit, surely no one really tries to defend killing innocent unborn babies; same-sex “marriage”; permitting males in women’s rest rooms or locker rooms because they think they are female when their genitalia screams their manhood; or the invasion of America by foreigners who may be unhealthy, uneducated, and unrepentant terrorists, or even arrogant caravanners and others who are trying to defy and upend our laws.

Can far left “progressive” positions like the above really be defended? Do Democrats even try to defend such positions or do they simply call people who are critical of the above racists, homophobe, and bigot? But then, that is much easier than defending one’s position.

Some principled Democrats began thinking about their association with a corrupt party when the shenanigans of Ted Kennedy and Gerry Studds were revealed. As it accelerated into the Clinton administration, it became an avalanche of evil and corruption. With Obama, we were slapped in the face almost daily if we did not worship facing Saudi Araba. It seemed people were given high positions in his administration if they were black and/or Muslim, preferably both. Think of the rogue’s gallery: Holder, Rice, Jarrett, Jones, Lynch, Emanuel, et al. It also seemed to help one’s résumé if one were a female.

Lynch, Rice, and Jarrett are women; however, there was an abundance of females as revealed in Essence magazine issue October, 2015 that headlined, “29 Powerful Black Women Who Called The Shots In The Obama Administration”! I looked in vain for a photo of white women who “called the shots” for Obama without success. Likewise, I looked for any Fundamentalist or Evangelical Christian who “called the shots” for Obama but without success. I would have been satisfied whether he or she was black or white.

All of us now know that Obama was photographed with Louis Farrakhan in 2005 while Obama was still a U.S. Senator from Illinois. The Muslim photographer promised to keep the photo secret since it would have destroyed Obama’s budding political career. The photo was released in 2017 when no one cared about Obama or Farrakhan.

Frankly, I would leave any group that had anything to do with Farrakhan. However, he sups and dines with the political elite when he should be making license plates in prison or using a sledge hammer making little rocks out of big rocks. The fact that he has not been investigated by state and Federal officials reflects on the Democrat Party and the Justice Department that deliberately refuses to investigate his hate crimes, advocacy of terrorists, and his audacious anti-Semitism.

President Obama deliberately excluded Christians from senior White House positions according to White House emails sent to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign manager John Podesta. Obama had a list of Muslim candidates for high level jobs; sounds like religious discrimination to me.

Obama had many Muslim Brotherhood (a terrorist group masquerading as religious rights group) operatives—all Islamist activists—in his administration having major influence over U.S. policy. Mohammed Elibiary was Homeland Security Advisor and appeared at a conference honoring Ayatollah Khomeini! Salam al-Marayati was an Obama Advisor who founded the Muslim Public Affairs Council and is an Israel hater. Eboo Patel was on the Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships and Rashad Hussain was Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference. He is famous for memorization of the Koran, proving his devotion to Islam. Dalia Mogahed, an Egyptian-born hijab-clad Muslim American, was the first Muslim woman appointed to a position in the Obama administration.

Other Muslims with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood were Huma Abedim who was Deputy Chief of Staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during Obama’s presidency. Mehdi K. Alhassani was Special Assistant to the Office of the Chief of Staff, National Security Council Staff, and Executive Office of the President. Rashad Hussain was Obama’s special envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. All stamped: “Approved by the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Obama nominated Abid Riaz Qureshi, a Washington lawyer to a prestigious federal judgeship, making the first Muslim American tapped for the federal judiciary. Abid was born in Pakistan.

It has been reported in the national media that former Director of the CIA John Brennan converted to Islam while serving as CIA station chief in Saudi Arabia during the 1990s. He became Obama’s Homeland Security Advisor from 2009 to 2013 and CIA Director from 2013 to 2017.

The far left Mother Jones magazine reported that eleven of Obama’s confirmed judges were “openly gay.” No, not your father’s party, for sure.

How could any Democrat sleep at night knowing he was a member of party that promoted such people to places of public trust?

Jesse Helms was a lifelong Democrat and switched to the GOP and became a leading conservative senator. Ronald Reagan also switched and became one of the most effective presidents in U.S. History. While President Donald Trump is not much of a Republican, he did leave the Democrat Party and there is scuttlebutt about some Democrat senators jumping ship after the midterm elections.

However, my biggest concern is not the professional politicians but average working Democrats who need to do the principled thing and leave the party that left them many years ago. No thinking, honest person can defend the platform of the Democrat Party. Far left issues that Democrat spokesmen are forcing down the throats of Americans would gag a maggot: same sex “marriage”; transgenderism; the use of any rest room by anyone, depending on what he/she feels like; open borders; sanctuary cities; blatant Socialism that has proved itself a failure wherever it has been tried; higher taxes; statehood for Washington, DC; environmental extremism that will close coal mines and oil wells; universal preschool for every child; universal health care; grab all guns; debt free college education for all, ad infinitum. Most of these proposals reek of Socialism and I am surprised, shocked, and stunned that any American, not living in a padded cell, would seriously and unashamedly promote a socialist America.

If many of those hot-button issues become law, they would totally change America and frankly, America has been changed too much already in my opinion. We must understand, if we have not already, that our world has been changed forever for evil, not good. It is past time to start facing reality about radical Democrats coming out of left field. Ayn Rand reminded us that “You can ignore reality, but you cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.”

If the U.S. and our “forces of freedom” are to win, then we must be dauntless, decisive, and determined. It is incredulous that anyone would argue with the plan to Keep America American or the policy of always asking, “What is in the best interest of America?” Would any sane person suggest that we do what is best for some other nation instead?

But a word of caution. We must be vigilant that we don’t become haters of good and decent people who are different from most of us. Such a result would mean that dark forces have been successful in destroying America, and it would no longer be America. We must also hold public officials’ feet to the fire and chain them to the Constitution (notice how smoothly I go from one metaphor to another?).

We must be careful not to become un-American in our desire to remain American!

Whom Do You Trust: A Principled Judge or Delayed Accusers? https://donboys.cstnews.com/whom-do-you-trust-a-principled-judge-or-delayed-accusers https://donboys.cstnews.com/whom-do-you-trust-a-principled-judge-or-delayed-accusers#respond Fri, 17 Nov 2017 04:20:17 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=1966 I detest unfairness and hypocrisy and I have seen boatloads of both in the Judge Roy Moore issue. Without knowing all the facts, as only Moore and his accusers know, I have decided to believe a man who has had a lifetime of dedicated service to people while standing upon the rock of Truth.

It’s rather simple: either Moore is guilty or not. If he molested, not dated, but molested teen girls when he was an adult then he should recognize it as sin, repent of it, refuse to do again and do restitution–apologize to the women involved and to Americans for lying to us about it. Then he should throw himself upon the good will of Alabama voters. If he did that, I think he could still win! After all, doesn’t everyone believe in personal redemption?

No sane person believes any member of Congress could pass the test demanded of Moore. If we could somehow remove all members of Congress who were sexually inappropriate in their younger years, the two chambers of Congress would be as empty as a long-deserted old barn with “See Rock City” barely visible on its side.

“There’s a special place in hell for people who prey on children,” Ivanka Trump told the AP, adding, “I’ve yet to see a valid explanation, and I have no reason to doubt the victims’ accounts.” I will remind Ivanka that there is a place in Hell for liars also. She’s “yet to see a valid explanation” for the accusations but I’ve seen no reason to believe the belated charges.

Just today, an accusation of sexual molestation was made against Senator Al Franken that allegedly happened in his pre-senate days. Will the hypocrites in Congress, to be consistent, demand he be drummed out of the senate? Don’t count on it. They will look but they won’t cut him loose.

I am shocked that even conservative senators have chosen to believe charges against Moore which cannot be proved. Don’t they know that the same kind of accusations could be made against them in the future? Do they now believe in presumptive guilt rather than presumptive innocence? We had better realize that when we accept unsupported accusations against anyone, we are stepping on a slippery slope and will slide into a bottomless pit filled with king cobras.

If Moore is innocent, and I believe he is, then he should fight valiantly for a senate seat. He should put on his armor, mount his steed, and do battle from Huntsville to Mobile. He should remind the voters that anyone can accuse anyone of anything and the charges cannot be substantiated. Moreover, this week Darrel Nelson, the stepson of the latest accuser, Beverly Young Nelson said, “the allegations are all lies.” Nelson says he supports Moore 100%!

Moore has been very controversial all his adult life and involved in many “hot” issues, yet these accusations just happened to be revealed a few weeks before his election! Come on, no honest, balanced, fair-minded person could believe that was unplanned. The charges and the timing are about as accidental and unplanned as the Rose Bowl Parade.

The only question is who sired the charges, Republicans or Democrats. By the way, I do believe in conspiracies, as anyone does who knows history.

Furthermore, let me point out the liberal hypocrisy in this matter. Many have made much of Moore dating teenagers and it was not wise. I would not have permitted my daughters to do that, but it is one thing to date a girl and another thing to molest her. So, dating teenagers is not an indictable offense. It was crass but not criminal.

Now we are told that the teens were vulnerable and he was a predator, but that has only been alleged. Moreover, two of the young women admitted that their mothers were very pleased they were dating Moore. He was considered a “catch.”

Moreover, it was common, especially in the south, for girls to date at a young age, and even marry very young. It was common to be married by 19 so they would be dating long before that age. This is true in history. According to Jewish customs, a young woman became betrothed to a young man as early as 12 years of age, although the consummation of their marriage did not happen until they were legally married in a few months or even years.

The Zondervan Pictorial Encyclopedia of the Bible points out, “It appears that both boys and girls were married very young. Later [after the New Testament period] the rabbis fixed the minimum age for marriage at twelve for girls and thirteen for boys.”

Jewish boys were expected to marry at sixteen or seventeen. In the Roman Empire, boys wore a white toga trimmed in red as a symbol of youth; however, at 14 to 17 years of age, they threw off the red and white toga and wore the pure white toga of a Roman man.

Screaming feminists have always insisted that women don’t need protection; after all, they can do anything a man can do–you know–spit, smoke, and swear. But now we are told that the teens Moore dated were violated just by the dating! Ladies, you can’t have it both ways. You told us that females are not helpless creatures who need doors opened for them or to be treated as breakable objects. Feminists have demanded that prostitution should be legal and the age of consent should be lowered because females have a right to control their own bodies. Therefore, lower the age of sexual consent.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wrote (with a feminist co-author) Sex Bias in the U.S. Code in 1977, demanding the reduction of the age of consent for sexual acts to persons who are “less than 12 years old.” She also wanted laws against bigamy, prostitution, the Mann Act, women in combat, and segregated prisons be revoked. She also wanted government-funded comprehensive child care and the traditional family concept of husband as breadwinner and wife as homemaker to be eliminated. Ruthie is a real sweetheart and promoter of female equality. She was paid with federal funds to write the book. Wonder if I could get paid by the government for writing my books.

The age of consent in Canada is 16 and, in Mexico, it is 12. In the various states, it is between 16 and 18. But Ginsburg wants girls to have the right to legal sex at less than 12 years of age! Yet teen girls were in danger when dating Moore even though he, in southern tradition, asked permission of their mothers! I don’t think Moore is a danger to morality: Ginsburg is the danger.

While Moore showed a lack of wisdom in dating young girls, he has proved in his adult life to make wise, yet very difficult, principled decisions. Like all of us, he learned from his past.

If Moore wins the Senate seat, he should walk into the senate chamber like a king going to his throne. Then he should thank Alabamians for sending him there and give his philosophy of serving. He should say he will vote with Republicans when they are right and with Democrats when they are right–maybe about every blue moon. Then he should give his reasons why he will vote for or against a proposed bill–the same reasons I gave when I was elected to the Indiana House of Representatives. Each bill must meet these standards: Is it Constitutional? Is it family friendly? Do we really need this bill? Can we afford this bill? Will this bill expand government control and bigger government? I also added, “Is it biblical?” but then I’m shameless.

So most of his votes will be no, reminiscent of Senator Jesse Helms, known as Senator No.

While the Republicans and Democrats sit grinding their teeth, he should say that a southern gentleman never goes where he is not wanted and since the GOP has explicitly said they do not want him, that he will henceforth resign from the Republican Party! He will be an Independent. He won’t wait for the GOP to cast him out of their party. He will take the principled position of leaving the Grand Old Progressives to slowly decay, dwindle, decline, and die a natural death.

By his informed, balanced, and conservative record, he will show the nation what a true statesman is–since statesmen are as scarce in Washington as white dinosaurs in Kentucky.

If Moore wins the senate seat and is expelled from the senate for what he allegedly did 40 years ago, then every member of Congress will suffer many sleepless nights. What senator wants to set the precedent of being judged for his past sins? I mean, the senators may be cowardly, crass, crude, and cranky but they are not stupid. Well, all of them aren’t.

Americans will realize that we have at least one senator dedicated to truth who is as independent as a hog on ice.

I was Wrong; Cruz was Right! https://donboys.cstnews.com/i-was-wrong-cruz-was-right https://donboys.cstnews.com/i-was-wrong-cruz-was-right#respond Sat, 23 Jul 2016 03:36:08 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=1517 When Senator Cruz did not endorse Trump for president Thursday night, I remarked to my wife, “We just watched a man commit political suicide.” I had supported Cruz from day one because of his clear Christian testimony, his commitment to constitutional principles, and his courageous stand in the senate against almost everyone. I expressed concern in my columns about his wife having worked for the CFR but was willing to overlook that failure since everyone is flawed. He was far superior to Trump in every way except Trump’s business acumen.

After it was obvious that Trump was to be the nominee, I declared that I would hold my nose and vote for Trump; however, I soon realized that I couldn’t hold my nose that tightly. I began to wobble and waver, and wondered aloud if I should not vote for a third party or do a write in vote leaving the consequences to God. After all, He can manipulate events to put His choice in office.

Rather quickly, I experienced a seizure of common sense and decided that I could vote for Trump with the expectation that he might really build the wall; that he might really cut taxes; that he might really deal with terrorism; that he might really appoint conservative federal judges; and that he might really handle the debt crisis. So, I boarded the Trump Train albeit in the caboose.

I will do what I can to get Trump elected but I can’t get excited about it. The Republican platform is good, even exceptional, while the convention reached the highest highs and the lowest lows. The lows were having a homosexual speak and given a standing ovation (do I hear the GOP closet door creaking open?) and having a Muslim deliver the benediction. (This dude has four active Maryland court charges totaling more than $26,000 in unpaid bills against him.) But then I don’t have much right to complain since I stopped supporting the Grand Old Progressives many years ago. I often vote for them but stopped writing checks.

I was discouraged, disappointed, and disturbed when Ted refused to keep his pledge to support the nominee. I surmised that he was being petty, petulant, and personal for sure. And political, with his eyes locked on the future. Then I started thinking with my brain instead of my gut.

Ted was now in a quandary: He could not keep his commitment to support the GOP nominee and also give the honor due his wife and father. He chose to put his family first and I would have done the same—in a heartbeat. I believe he did it knowing it might ruin him politically.

I had joined the throng that demanded Cruz say the magic words: “I endorse Trump!” I wrestled with myself for twenty-four hours then applied the principle I have followed all my adult life: I put myself in Ted’s place and realized I, too, would have put family first under the same circumstances. Yes, Ted had promised to support the nominee but surely that was with the reasonable, responsible, and realistic caveat that the nominee did not turn out to be a closet communist or child molester, etc. Ted could not have known that Trump would insult his wife or accuse his father of being connected with the Kennedy assassination!

Trump supporters should keep in mind that Trump has never apologized for his scurrilous accusations. Trump needs to understand that money cannot purchase character or class. If he had either, he would apologize for his vicious, personal attacks on the Cruz family.

I think Ted could have been a little wiser during his speech without alienating anyone. He could have said, “I congratulate Donald Trump for a stunning win, an exemplary platform, and for an exciting convention. I will vote for the Republican ticket in November and I hope he and Pence win. I think he will make a great president even though he is as shameless as an egg-sucking dog.”

It is better to have principled division than a delusional, defective, or dishonest conformity. Trump for president and Ted Cruz for a lifetime seat on the U.S. Supreme Court!

Now that would give Hillary and her pathetic progressives perpetual palpitations.

Cruz: Political Parties Demand Control! https://donboys.cstnews.com/cruz-political-parties-demand-control https://donboys.cstnews.com/cruz-political-parties-demand-control#respond Tue, 12 Apr 2016 15:48:01 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=1414 The Republican and Democrat Parties are each having a massive party and conservatives, especially Christians, are not invited to attend. The two parties (mainly Republicans since there are only seven conservatives in the Democrat Party!) will permit conservatives to purchase the noise makers, decorations, the food, and booze and permit us to decorate the hall, but we have to leave through the back door before the elites arrive. People of principle are persona non grata.

While there are some policy differences in the two parties, there is little difference in their modus operandi. Former Louisiana Governor and U.S. Senator Huey P. Long rightly said: “The only difference in Republicans and Democrats is one is skinning you from ankles up while the other skins you from the neck down.” It seems many Americans are tired of being skinned.

I discovered this elitist tendency when, as a political novice, I decided to take on the Republican machine in Indiana. As administrator of a large Christian school at the time, I was asked to run for the Indiana House of Representatives. I agreed to run and signed my name on the proper form at the Secretary of State’s Office. My district was the southern suburbs of Indianapolis.

I did what was expected and paid a courtesy call on the Republican County Chairman telling him of my intentions to be a candidate. He figuratively tapped me on the head and told me that I had every right to run for that office. He basically said, “Go to it son, we republicans live under a big tent so there’s even room for an active Christian.” Well, there was room under the tent for active Christians to arrange the chairs, clean up after meetings, and serve the Kool Aid, especially serve the Kool Aid. But there was no excitement about an active Christian being in leadership.

Then he did everything he could to frustrate my efforts. I tried to circumvent his efforts by personally calling on all the precinct chairmen and asking for their support and asked them to give me their official list of Republicans. Some did, some did not. About half of them at least agreed to stay neutral during the primary battle. Some did, some did not.

I ended up winning by 76 votes in the primary and by many thousands in the general election. I won because I had a large team of people, all Christians, who knocked on doors, looked up phone numbers, made phone calls, stuffed envelopes, gave money, and worked the polls on election day.

After my win, I did not fight the GOP but I did my own thing. Party officials asked me to submit one bill and since it would help farmers without expanding government or cost the taxpayers any money I introduced it and got it passed with the Governor’s signature. Other than that, they left me alone to do my own thing: a bill to expunge the ERA that made national news as we had thousands at our committee hearing that usually would attract 30 or 40 interested parties; also a bill to reinstate sodomy as a felony (without cameras in every bedroom); a bill to require creation and evolution be taught on an even basis in public schools; a bill to require life for rape without possibility of parole specifically taking authority from the governor; an amendment to reinstate the death penalty; and many motions to quash bills that encroached on Christian schools, churches, bus ministries, home schooling, etc.

I was a loose cannon and always shot from the right and was hated by many Republicans almost as much as by the Democrats. That could not continue and it didn’t.

After winning, the party “put up with me” and promptly fought my reelection preferring anyone but me. Even though I was far ahead in the polls, I lost reelection by about 700 votes. Only days before the primary, my opponent’s brother, a commercial pilot, crashed his plane south of the city while transporting five major 500 Mile Race Officials from Atlanta to Indianapolis. Even my enemies opined that I lost because of the accident. Whatever, the fact remains that the party wanted me out because they could not control me–plus I did have an agenda that was reflected in my reputation as being the “most conservative member of the General Assembly.” I had been elected as a “Reagan Republican” in 1976 but I was more conservative than Reagan! So, I had to go.

A coalition of public school teachers, liberal preachers, and the trial lawyers’ group came after me with a whip and with help from the plane accident, they managed to whip me out of the House. Poor me! However, it was a very good thing for me since it opened wide the doors for me to write/direct/edit a total Christian school curriculum and write columns for USA Today which produced invitations to appear on hundreds of radio and television talk shows all over the world. The GOP plan for my defeat became a catalyst for an enhanced ministry.

Ted Cruz, take note. The powers that be will do their best to keep you out or chase you out of the Oval Office for the same reason: they demand control. They are now doing their best to derail Trump and will accept you if they must; however, if you become President, be sure to hire a food taster and never walk alone in dark alleys.

What if President Cruz Appoints Only Conservatives? https://donboys.cstnews.com/what-if-president-cruz-appoints-only-conservatives-2 https://donboys.cstnews.com/what-if-president-cruz-appoints-only-conservatives-2#comments Tue, 02 Feb 2016 06:03:02 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=1352 Senator Ted Cruz took on the Grand Old Progressives (GOP) establishment and a billionaire in Iowa and won. If he doesn’t stumble and keeps good advisors he may get elected and out-Reagan, Ronald Reagan. He has a long way to go and many will try to discourage, denigrate, and defeat him but he may be the next President of the United States!

Every U.S. President has the authority, after winning a national election, to appoint people of his choosing to various positions in his administration. That is only fair and proof of the adage, “to the victor go the spoils.” Obama has taken that principle and run with it far into left field. All his main appointees have been to the left of Harry Reed, yet no Democrat or media person (but then I repeat myself) has screamed about balance and fairness. No one has lectured Obama about “reaching out” to conservatives and Christians. But the lectures and interviews, and columns about “reaching out” to Democrats come fast and furious (oops) when a conservative gets elected.

Let’s say that Ted Cruz becomes President Cruz and did the same thing but only appointed conservatives and Christians–you know, normal, competent people. Maybe he could find a place for a couple of professors or graduates of Liberty University and Bob Jones University, Hillsdale, or from one of the smaller schools. I will get to what his administration might look like in a minute.

What does Obama’s list of progressive appointees look like?

Cass Sunstein is a far leftist who was appointed the Regulatory Czar who said, “We ought to ban hunting.” Rushing farther into left field he said, “Animals should be permitted to bring suit…” and he thinks government should regulate the airwaves. But Cass does not stand alone in left field.

John Holdren was appointed Science Czar and recommends compulsory abortion in event of an overpopulation crisis. He advocated government taking of newborn babies, and suggested adding a sterilant to the drinking water! Oh, yes, he wants the government to dictate the size of families! I believe that has been tried before.

Mark Lloyd as Chief Diversity Officer, FCC worked for far leftist George Soros. Lloyd has praised the late Venezuelan Communist dictator Hugo Chavez’s revolution as “incredible…democratic revolution.” He opines that there are too many white people in the media. He wants to “balance” the media by fining conservative radio stations up to $250 million and give the proceeds to National Public Radio. I suggest Mark spend his time, effort, and capital getting rid of all subsidized public communications. Left field is getting crowded.

Eric Holder as Attorney General chose not to prosecute black thugs who intimidated whites at a polling place. During his stint in office, he did what he could to promote Black extremists and denigrate white police officers. He always came to the defense of blacks who resisted police and condemned police officers who did their jobs and protected themselves.

Jeh Johnson, chief of DHS has Communist connections through his grandfather who testified before the House Un-American Activities Committee in 1949 to deny being a member of the Communist Party. Jeh compared the alleged discrimination Muslims are facing today to the 1940s and 1950s when Senator Joseph McCarthy and others charged that communists had infiltrated the U.S. government during the Cold War with the Soviet Union.

I hope Jeh doesn’t mind if I remind all my readers that Joe McCarthy was right! There were Communists in the Federal Government at the time. American Soviet spies were FDR’s closest aid, Harry Hopkins, another aid, Laughlin Currie, and top Treasury official Harry Dexter White, Alger Hiss, Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, (both executed for providing atom bomb secrets to Russia), David Greenglass, Harry Gold and other traitors.

Elena Kagan was nominated to the U.S. Supreme Court even though she had no judicial experience. As Dean of Harvard Law School her job was to raise money and make students comfortable. The Boston Globe wrote of her: “Some of her initial acts as dean were small-scale improvements, like offering free coffee in classroom buildings and free tampons in women’s bathrooms.” No, not sterling qualifications for a seat on the Supreme Court.

CBS News first reported that Elena Kagan would be the “first openly gay justice” which would please Obama’s liberal base. BAM! The network heard from the White House then CBS officials amended the report: “I have to correct my text here to say that Kagan is apparently still closeted–odd, because her female partner is rather well known in Harvard circles.” That was even worse and CBS finally pulled the report entirely! She is very comfortable in left field with or without her black robe.

Kevin Jennings was appointed Assistant Deputy Secretary at the Department of Education. Jennings founded the Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) that is dedicated to making homosexuality acceptable to children as young as five years old! The news reported that Jennings told a boy who confessed to having sex with an older man that he should use a condom!

Susan Rice was appointed Ambassador to the United Nations and is known for her infamous appearance on five network shows explaining that the terrorist attack on Benghazi was really a reaction to a video critical of Mohammed. The crowd in left field is getting larger.

Samantha Power was appointed to the National Security Council and is outspokenly anti-Israel. She ridiculed the possibility of Iran having nuclear weapons! She also favored sending U.S. troops to Israel to force a Palestinian state on them. She is now Ambassador to the UN and married to Cass Sunstein.

Valerie Jarrett is Obama’s Assistant to the President for Public Engagement and Inter-governmental Affairs and is responsible for vetting all the extremists Obama has appointed! She recruited Van Jones as Green Czar knowing his longtime love affair with the Communist Party. That didn’t bother Valerie since her father “had extensive ties to Communist associations and individuals” according to FBI files. Her father-in-law “was also another big-time Chicago Communist.” All in the family.

David Axelrod, political advisor to Obama, has been a leftist all his life promoting socialism at every opportunity.

Admittedly, Obama had legal authority to appoint every leftist above and he was being consistent since he promised us that he was going to fundamentally change America. In that, he has kept his promise. Note that he has accomplished his goal without a peep from the mainstream media. No one pointed out that his appointees were far leftists, abortionists, Muslims, and Muslim sympathizers. No one suggested that he should have a few conservatives, even Christians (gasp), on his team. By Christians I don’t mean simply church members.

Now, transfer yourself into the next administration. Suppose, no let’s pray, that it is a very conservative President, maybe Ted Cruz with Mike Huckabee as Vice President. Moreover, his every appointee supports his basic positions! Do you think the media would remain silent? They would scream about reflecting the real America and he is supposed to be “president of all the people.” But he refuses to listen and appoints the following:

Surgeon General is Ben Carson; Secretary of Defense is Allen West; Attorney General is Trey Gowdy; White House Spokesman is Donald Trump; National Security Advisor is Marco Rubio, Secretary of Treasury is Rand Paul; Head of the Federal Reserve is Ron Paul; Secretary of Interior is Sarah Palin; Secretary of State is Mark Levin; Secretary of Homeland Security, David A. Clarke, Democrat Sheriff of Milwaukee; Secretary of Health and Human Services, Michele Bachmann; Secretary of Agriculture, Senator Rick Santorum; and maybe throw in a few of the conservatives from Bush’s administration.

You get the idea–a great idea! Such appointees would guarantee intelligent counsel, common sense, wisdom, and diversity. Ah, yes, the much demanded diversity. Let’s see, we have a Democrat; two Blacks; two women; a Jew; a Southern Baptist; two evangelical Catholics; at least two non-denominationalists; a lapsed Presbyterian, sometime Episcopalian (at least at Christmas and Easter); and now we need a Fundamentalist to really prove diversity.

I would suggest that he appoint me as Secretary of Education at $1.00 per year and I would dismantle that department in 30 days. Ditto the Department of Energy; ditto the Department of Commerce. I’ll look for more dittos!

After taking care of those matters, back home to Ringgold.

Debate Revelation: Ben Carson is a Black! https://donboys.cstnews.com/debate-revelation-ben-carson-is-a-black https://donboys.cstnews.com/debate-revelation-ben-carson-is-a-black#respond Fri, 30 Oct 2015 19:41:09 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=1269 What a revelation; watching the GOP debate Wednesday night I realized that Dr. Ben Carson is a black man! I had seen and heard him many times but since I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, I never said, “Well, Ben Carson is a black man.” He is a surgeon and a man of character and a professing Christian and he is actually a black man. Not half black, but black. He’s the real thing, not the Great Pretender. Wow, where have I been? But then, I don’t care if a person is black, white, or polka dot. Racists make a big deal out of it.

Telling the truth about Blacks (or Whites) is not a good career move since most people want to be comfortable and don’t want confrontation and conflict from anyone at any time. It seems black fanatics demand that they not be held to the same standard as Whites. That kind of thinking used to be known as racism. It still is.

It seems I am not “sensitive” to the feelings of others when I deal with famous black leaders. Political correctness requires us to not repeat facts, easily substantiated facts, if those facts might offend others, especially minorities. I refuse to play such childish games.

I have always been critical of civil rights leaders who seemed to be more interested in “a buck and a broad” (their term) than in equal rights while young idealistic acolytes lost their lives in the civil rights struggle. Many of those “reverends” (who seldom preached the Gospel and did not believe the Bible) used the ministry to con gullible Blacks to their cause. And at times managed to accomplish something positive. While it was past time for Blacks to have the same rights as Whites, it was not good that Blacks began receiving special treatment at the expense of white people. After all, if discrimination was and is wrong against Blacks (and it was and is) then discrimination against Whites was and is also wrong. But I’m not supposed to say that.

About this time the government forced its way into every business to enforce civil rights laws and began to regulate salary, benefits, working hours, hiring and firing standards, etc. Many think that was good for America; I think it was a major tragedy. The government has no constitutional authority to set any standards for business unless tax money was used to start the business. Yes, it did provide jobs for minorities but business owners lost the freedom to run their own business.

Preachers King and Abernathy did not believe the Bible they quoted, as their public statements and writings easily prove. Hypocrites such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would have been tarred and feathered in earlier days. However, it seems to be prima facie evidence that my making the statements–that all informed people know to be true–proves racism!

When I took the position that forced busing of school children was insensitive, intrusive, and insane I was called a racist by Indiana Democrats and leftist Republicans. I said that it was an insult to Blacks to suggest that they would do better in school if they sat in the same classroom with white students.

When I said that abortion was killing a huge proportion of black babies and it would be devastating to black families I was right then, as I am now.

When I said that black students must stay in school, get a job, any job, work hard, get married and have babies, I was right. In 1965, 25% of black births were out of wedlock. Today, 72% of all black births in the US are out of wedlock! That is compounded by the Huffington Post reporting, “There is nothing ‘immoral’ or ‘pathological’ about deciding not to marry.” Even if one agrees (and I don’t) that making bastard babies is not immoral, then surely all sane people believes it is pathological.

When I suggested that black men should stop fathering illegitimate babies and stay faithful to their wives rather than selling dope, looting stores, and mugging others I was right. And black men have filled our prisons as a consequence.

Ben Carson is a fantastic example of one coming out of Detroit’s inner-city because of a concerned mother (a third-grade dropout who worked three jobs at the same time) who instilled character in him. If he can make it, then anyone can make it. Did I mention that Ben is black?

Non-thinking fanatics tell us that any criticism of Barack Obama is positive proof of racism but it might be that his policies are so leftist, they would make Marx, Lenin, and Stalin stand up and cheer.

I said that Attorney General Eric Holder was/is a wild-eyed racist dedicated to defend anything blacks do no matter how guilty they are. His replacement seems to be a female clone.

Even if decent people disagree with some political decisions mentioned above, no honest person, black or white, can defend the vicious racist tirade of Louis Farrakhan, head of the Nation of Islam–known as black Muslims. If a clown in the KKK had said the same thing about killing blacks that Louie said about killing whites, the KKK member would not put on his sheet for many years because they don’t have sheets in the pokey. Where are the media on this?

Our nation has experienced many unnecessary conflicts between police officers and young black men with too many blacks being killed. In every incident a death would not have occurred had the young man obeyed police orders. That problem is not a police problem but a home problem. Obviously parents are not teaching their children to obey them, school officials, or the police resulting in chaos in the home, in our schools, and in our streets.

It is also interesting that in every case, the dead youth is touted by family and friends as a “good” boy, “kind,” and “gentle.” But then the police record reveals that he was more of a thug than an eagle scout who has committed himself to lifetime celibacy, poverty, and working with lepers in the world’s last leper colony in Romania.

America’s homes–black, white, Hispanic, etc.—are all in trouble. However, single parent homes statistically are in worse condition because of the lack of disciple. Of course, a dash of Bible training in home, church, and school would be a major improvement. Sure couldn’t hurt.

Folks, it is time for honesty, to treat all people with kindness, respect, and equality. It’s time to hold ourselves to a standard of personal honor, excellence, duty, kindness, tolerance, and not question the motives of those who disagree with us.

It’s still shocking to know that Ben Carson is a black man!

Trump or Carson for President: A Reflection on Religion! https://donboys.cstnews.com/trump-or-carson-for-president-a-reflection-on-religion-2 https://donboys.cstnews.com/trump-or-carson-for-president-a-reflection-on-religion-2#respond Tue, 27 Oct 2015 14:16:30 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=1265 There is no religious test for elective office and I would rather have an honest Atheist for President than a dishonest Adventist or Baptist or Methodist or Catholic or Jew! Obviously if I chose presidents by their religious affiliation then I would choose Mike Huckabee since he is a Southern Baptist but he is my third choice. Only later did I discover that Cruz is also a Southern Baptist, member of First Baptist in Houston. At this time, my choice is Cruz, Carson, Huckabee, Trump, etc., and their church membership is a minor matter in supporting them.

Furthermore, I would have chosen Truman (a Baptist) over Thomas Dewey (an Episcopalian) and Baptist Bill Clinton over Methodist George Bush. However, I preferred Dewey and Bush, both non Baptists. Truman was a cursing Baptist and Clinton was a carousing Baptist and both, in my humble opinion, never had a New Birth experience. Yes, I know it is dangerous to question motives; but I believe that Christians act, talk, and live like Christians with sporadic momentary digressions. Both Truman and Clinton indicted by their lives that they were simply members of Baptist churches.

Today’s CBS national poll has Carson leading Trump 26% to 22%! Donald Trump has been leading the pack until now. Trump might make a good president; at least he gives the Grand Old Progressive establishment nightly heartburn. However, Dr. Ben Carson, a member of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination is leading for the first time. While there is no religious test to be President, it is not smart to elect a candidate without considering his or her religious beliefs. In fact, it is irresponsible not to consider what every candidate believes.

It would be irresponsible not to ask a dedicated Quaker his position on using force in protecting U.S. citizens from terrorists and other enemies.

It would be irresponsible to not ask a Muslim candidate if he accepts the traditional, radical view of the Koran as interpreted by radicals in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, etc.

It would be irresponsible not to ask a Buddhist if he would try to make all of us vegetarians since they refuse to kill anything. They don’t eat meat because they may be eating a dead relative! What impact would a Buddhist have upon our pork, beef, chicken, and turkey industry?

An Orthodox Jew should be asked if he would refuse to work on Saturday in event of a major national problem that threatens America’s safety. Similarity, it is not unreasonable to ask Ben Carson if he has convictions to that extent against working on the Sabbath.

Last week Trump opined that he did not understand why he is losing support among evangelical Christians in Iowa. He told CNN on Sunday, “I can only speak for myself. I don’t like to talk about somebody else’s faith. I can say that I’m a Presbyterian. I’m a believer.” On Saturday in Jacksonville he said, “I’m Presbyterian. Boy, that’s down the middle of the road folks, in all fairness.” Trump said. “I mean, Seventh-day Adventist, I don’t know about. I just don’t know about.” I have a problem with Presbyterians and Adventists but a problem I can live with if they meet my other criteria for President.

An evident fact: most of Christianity looked upon Adventists as a cult; however, many Adventists now claim to be mainline Christianity believing in Christ’s substitutionary death and His physical resurrection. Sure, they are way off on some other matters but since I am choosing a President not a pastor, I will live with that.

Trump professes to be a Presbyterian but he’s been reported as having been a Catholic, a member of the Reformed Church of America, and he married his third wife in an Episcopalian church. He admits going to church on Christmas and Easter and some other Sundays. Politically, he registered as a Democrat in 2011.

With his admission to being a Presbyterian, he picks up baggage that he obviously did not consider. The Presbyterian USA was at one time a biblically true group but like all mainline denominations, it fell (or jumped) into the snake pit of unbelief in 1923 when the Presbyterian General Assembly rejected the “Auburn Affirmation.” They rejected the veracity of Scripture, the virgin birth, the victorious resurrection, the vicarious atonement and the validity of miracles.

Following this apostasy, the conservative theologians and pastors fled the denomination, as Baptists and Methodists left their groups for the same reason, and formed conservative off-shoots of the parent groups. Those “off-shoots” (original Baptists, Presbyterians, etc.,) are now flourishing while the mainline churches can’t pay their light bill. Since 2011 almost 700 churches left the Presbyterian USA because of apostasy.

In 2014, the Presbyterian USA voted to accept practicing homosexuals into church membership and moved their headquarters to Sodom. With a branch office in Gomorrah.

Recent Iowa polls showed Trump running second to Carson and Trump was surprised at that and the fact he is second to Carson with evangelicals. Trump commented, “I match myself against just about everybody. I am a believer.” He added that evangelicals “like me. I’ve gone to many meetings. We’ve had 28 of the great ministers last week. … And pastors from all over the country, and so many and they really — I’ve had a great relationship with Christianity, and frankly, I would say every bit as good as his.” I hope Trump has a relationship with Christ, not Christianity; that is far more important than where he goes to church.

While I have major differences with Carson, I believe his testimony that he is a genuine Christian, not simply a church member. I am not confident that is true of Trump. I would like to hear an intrepid reporter (remember them) ask all candidates: “Was there a time in your life when you repented and placed faith in the death and resurrection Jesus Christ?” I won’t hold my breath.

When asked if he ever asked God for forgiveness, Trump replied, “When we go in church and when I drink my little wine … and have my little cracker, I guess that’s a form of asking for forgiveness.” That is a flip, frivolous, false answer since real Christians know they commit sin daily if “only” the sins of arrogance, anger, or avarice. Plus, his frivolous reply displayed his lack of knowledge about and/or his lack of respect for the Lord’s Table or as some call it communion. Others incorrectly call it the Eucharist.

Additionally, Trump is uninformed as to what that “wine” and “little cracker” are all about. The Bible does not teach there is forgiveness in partaking in the memorial ceremony (of the death of Christ) but in preparing for the partaking of the “wine” and “little cracker” by repenting of sins before participation.

Carson is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and his critics have suggested that he is in conflict with his denomination since they have a record of being conscientious objectors to all war. The Adventists declared in 1865 that Christians should have “nothing to do with carnal instruments of war.” Due to this history, Adventists like Alexander Carpenter claim Carson “is not an authentic Adventist…The language of [Carson’s] support for guns is totally outside the rhetoric and beliefs of the Adventist church.” However, Carson has served as elder in his denomination so evidently the church leadership did not consider Carson a heretic.

Other Carson critics have brought up his teenage days of violence when he used bricks and bats in assaults; moreover he admitted that he tried to stab someone. Therefore, according to some, they asked if his anti-gun control beliefs make him “a fake.” No, it makes those asking the question a fraud. He trusted Christ and it changed his life. As an adult, he used a knife for better things than stabbing an opponent, like brain surgery!

No, one does not have to be a theologian to be President. Good thing because neither Trump nor Carson would have a prayer!

However, when Trump boasts about being a Presbyterian and puts down Carson’s Adventism, well, that’s like a skunk accusing a rabbit of having bad breath!
