A Man was born and lived in the Middle East many centuries ago who has vastly influenced my life. I cannot look at a sunset, watch hummingbirds hover at my kitchen window, observe the intricacies of a rose, or hear the lisping of a child singing, “Jesus Loves me this I know,” without thinking of that Man and His lasting impact upon the world.

When Christ was born in Bethlehem, God came to visit the earth with His plan for every person’s personal redemption.

However, Christ did not accomplish what is normally considered greatness during His more than three-year ministry. He did not raise or lead an army yet has more followers than any military leader; he never wrote a book, yet more books have been written about Him than any other person who has lived. He did not pass any laws yet his command to love those who hate you and love your neighbor turned a violent, vicious, and vile culture into a thriving civilization.

He was hated by Rome, the world’s mightiest power, but it now stands in ruins as revealed by a few destroyed buildings and a few ancient roads. His words have been used as the foundation for the founding of nations and famous historian Will Durant declared, “The triumph of Christ was the beginning of democracy.”

Christ’s command for sexual fidelity in the husband-wife relationship raised women from being without any rights as nonpersons to incredible love, respect, and almost worship status. His disciples built hospitals, schools, rest homes, etc., all over the world. The major universities in Europe and America were founded by His dedicated disciples. His Sermon on the Mount set a new standard for man’s treatment of his fellow men, the epitome of personal morality.

Slavery had always been an accepted and approved fact of life, yet His followers abolished it in England and America since He told His followers we should treat others the way we want to be treated. That forbids all slavery. When the famous agnostic and critic H. G. Wells was asked who had left the greatest legacy in history, he replied, “By this test Jesus stands first.” 

Yale historian Jaroslav Pelikan wrote of him, “Regardless of what anyone may personally think or believe about him, Jesus of Nazareth has been the dominant figure in the history of Western culture for almost twenty centuries…It is from his birth that most of the human race dates its calendars, it is by his name that millions curse and in his name that millions pray.”

Christ was the motivation for the world’s famous paintings, sculptures, and architecture yet He was a simple carpenter.

His followers taught that men must work hard to provide for the family; build a business, pay good wages to employees; etc. This was the foundation for free enterprise that provided strong nations and much personal happiness. It is responsible for the modern free enterprise system that has brought security, freedom, independence, happiness, etc., to millions of people for two thousand years.

Christianity played a significant role in shaping Western civilization where each person had personal worth and could expect, even demand, justice from kings, parliaments, and courts.

Inspired and influenced by Christ’s message, Christian churches and missionaries have been at the forefront of providing relief to communities around the world affected by natural disasters or violent conflict.

At this time of the year, the world’s attention is on that Man’s birth, but the account is usually tainted by many mistakes, misconceptions, and misuse of Christmas. The season has been hijacked by the greedy to make a buck and by the profligate to provide an excuse for excess—even obscene parties and orgies.

We assume that Mary rode a donkey from Nazareth to Bethlehem but there’s no mention of a donkey. Nor is there a mention of an innkeeper only that there was no room in the inn. There’s no mention of a stable filled with oxen, donkeys, etc., and there’s no mention of animals at His birth. In that day and place, mangers were common feeding boxes kept in the main room of village houses because the animals were often housed just a few feet away in an adjacent room.

There is no indication the star hovered over the manger on the night Jesus was born. After all, the star was to guide the wise men not others. When the angels announced the birth of Jesus to the shepherds watching their flocks by night (Luke 2:8–11), they weren’t told to look for a star. The star was given not to the shepherds but to the Magi. The shepherds were told “And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger” (Luke 2:12).

According to Matthew, Magi (meaning magic-practicing priests) visited King Herod, seeking the location of this new King of the Jews. The wise men from “the East” (India, Persia, and Arabia) came hundreds of miles with hundreds in their entourage to celebrate His birth. Their journey probably lasted a year or more and involved hundreds of soldiers, animal wranglers, cooks, advisors, etc.  People did not travel for months through the difficult and dangerous territory without the protection of soldiers, abundant supplies, etc.

Many have questioned the reality of pagan wise men making such a trip because of a strange star and an obscure Scripture passage. However, such critics overlook that Jews were a major portion of the population in Persia and Babylon, with roots going back hundreds of years. It is only reasonable that when exiled Jews heard of the birth of a new king, they were stirred to know more. Moreover, they were motivated to find Him asking, “Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.”

The origin of Jews in Persia (Iran), possibly 20% of the population, is connected to the transportation of Jews of the Kingdom of Israel in 722 B.C. from Samaria (capital of Israel) to Media and Persia following a three-year siege by Assyria. This is called, the ten lost tribes of Israel. The people of Samaria were removed to Persia and replaced with non-Jews from other conquered territories with the expectation of them disappearing as separate entities.

The remaining two Jewish tribes known as Judea in the south were taken into captivity in 587 B.C. and the city of Jerusalem including Solomon’s Temple was destroyed. Jews settled down in Babylon and lived in peace, although in captivity, for 70 years. Then the famous “Cyrus Declaration” allowed the Jews, living in exile beside the Euphrates River to choose to return to their homeland of Judea to start life anew and to reestablish their religious practices by rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem.

Those Jews who remained had a continuous presence in Babylon (Iraq) from Jerusalem’s fall to the time of Cyrus (whom God called anointed) who invaded Babylon in 539 B.C. and freed the Jews from Babylonian captivity. Many Jews chose not to return to Jerusalem since they had settled down for two generations in Babylon. The Persian or Babylonian descendants were, in my opinion, ancestors of the “wise men.”  

When the Magi asked Herod about the child’s birth, he knew nothing and was perplexed that a rival had been born. Hearing of this new King of the Jews disturbed him, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where Christ was to be born. Matthew 2:5 says, “And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet.”

The wise men found Christ in a home, not a stable, with his mother, where they give Him gold, frankincense, and myrrh. There’s no mention of three wise men or kings, just three gifts. Far from being kings, they were probably astrologers, either Jews or those greatly influenced by Jewish colleagues.

While many of the above mistakes surrounding Christ’s birth are minor, bigger mistakes are being made by professing Christians with a deleterious impact on their children.

Parents must not fall into the quicksand of modern celebration by succumbing to the Santa Claus myth which distorts the truth of Christ’s birth by subtly blending truth with the myth of Santa Claus. Parents must never lie to their children about Santa Claus, making him similar to Christ who knows when you’ve been good or bad. Santa now is a big man in a red suit with God-like qualities. All of this teaches the child to believe that, just like Santa, God can be pleased with “good works,” done in order to earn His favor. Also, they teach that no matter how bad the child has been, he will still be rewarded by God just as Santa never failed to bring gifts.

Each nation comprises all kinds of people: atheists, humanists, secularists, do-gooders, good-doers, traditionalists, religious people of hundreds of religions, church members, nominal Christians, and dedicated Christians. Most of these people celebrate Christmas, at least a secular Christmas. But then, a secular Christmas, while entirely legal, is not celebrating Christmas.

Some people have an affinity toward snowmen, Rudolph, a jolly old man, gifts, wild parties, elves, and reindeer. That may be your thing, but it isn’t Christmas. Neither are toys, tinsel, and trees.

A significant criticism of Christmas is that it is so commercial, and the message of a baby being born (incarnate God) who would bear the sins of mankind is lost in all the buying and selling, drinking and carousing, giving and getting. However, that does not negate the true meaning of Christmas; after all, man has corrupted everything from sex, the family, the church, etc. What’s wrong with families making an untainted Christ-honoring celebration of His birth?

Colossians 2:16 declares, “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days.” It is each person’s decision as to what they will celebrate. But it must be sincere and not contrary to Scripture.

It must be remembered that there are precedents for making much of His birth. After all, the shepherds caused a big stir about it. The angels made a big deal out of His birthday. “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

The early churches met each Sunday to commemorate His death and resurrection. And there is no scriptural command to go to church on Sunday. The early Christians met daily and later changed it to Sunday. As circumstances changed, they adjusted as long as no Scripture was violated.

The ultimate reason for the season is to recognize, repent, and receive the birth, death, and resurrection of Christ as the gift of personal salvation—the most important, inspiring, and illustrious events in history. Moreover, it would seem unusual if those events were not recognized as such by His followers.

Whatever you do about Christmas, what will you do about the Santa thing? What will you tell your children? A big mistake is made if you confuse Santa and the Savior. It is already being done because “Santa knows when you’ve been sleeping; he knows when you’re awake; he knows if you’ve been bad or good.” Sounds like the omniscient God to me.

Furthermore, if you support receiving gifts because you’ve been good, you promote the heretical teaching that one must earn his or her salvation. Another horrific result is the children may not believe their parents when they tell the truth about Christ after deceiving them about Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy.

Christmas should be a time of fun for children; however, parents must not instill a lifetime heresy in them. Mary Ann and I never spoke about Santa or discussed it with our children since they were bright enough to know a big fat man could not ride around the world in a sleigh pulled by reindeer and get it done in one night. Furthermore, they knew he could not get down the chimney and eat cookies and milk in every home. Besides, we didn’t have a chimney.

When children ask about Christmas, they must get the right story, not some mindless myth. Go on, if you must, with the Santa stuff but be sure they know it is a myth. You might suggest that they not discuss Santa with their friends. My four-year-old (at the time) daughter was told by her older sister that Santa was a myth, and she told her pre-kindergarten class, causing a sobbing brouhaha with fellow students. I was the school administrator, and the teacher had to calm her whole class. I suggest you require your children not to share with Santa believers that he is a myth. It is the job of parents.

My wife Ellen’s three-year-old Jennifer asked her, “Is there a real live Santa Claus man in this whole world of ours?” Her mother told her the true meaning of Christmas and that people made up Santa for fun. When asked by her pastor’s grown son, what Santa brought her, she replied, “Philip, you know there is no real live Santa Clause man in this whole world of ours.”

For sure, Santa is a myth, but Christ is the reality who was born of a virgin—becoming human so He could die for us providing eternal salvation for those who trust Him by faith.

Wise men still seek Jesus.

There are about 4,200 religions, churches, denominations, religious bodies, and faith groups in the world, and Pope Francis is trying to get everyone together; however, each group makes its own pitch for their “way.” Obviously, Francis has to convince everyone to consider their own teaching as non-essential in order to merge with the other groups that are in error. To leftists, unity is far more important than truth.

The Pope is trying to unite the predominant religions in the world— Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism totaling over 5 billion people.  He also wants to include pagan followers, and all those who worship Satan, snakes, snails, and the sun.  At a religious conflab consisting of Muslims, Jews, Hindus, and Buddhists, he warned against “the temptation to fundamentalism” or the tendency for each group to be true to their foundational truths.

The main reason the world is in a religious mess today is that the early churches strayed from their fundamental roots: Christ died and rose for our personal salvation according to the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God; the world is lost, needing to hear the saving message; Christians are commissioned to tell the Good News to the world; Christians are commanded to love everyone (but not forsaking truth), live godly lives, and stand for truth even at the cost of our lives.

The early Christians, for the most part, got away from their original teachings, and the religious world has become a vicious snake pit. Francis thinks he is doing God’s work in bringing everyone together; however, the Pope has no heavenly mandate to accomplish this gargantuan task. He does have religious gravitas that goes with his position, but it will take supernatural help to get the job done. His help is not coming from above but from below!

The Pope has enormous influence, but he is not recognized as the leader of all Christians; not even all Roman Catholics recognize him. Only the weakest Protestants recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian world; of course, Jews don’t recognize the Pope as the religious leader, nor do they recognize Christ as Messiah; Islam recognizes their ayatollahs as leaders, not the Pope nor does Islam recognize the Bible as the actual Word of God. And Baptists don’t recognize anyone except their local pastor, and they seem to have a tacit understanding not to recognize each other at a Hooters eatery known for scantily clad waitresses.

What a religious mess!

But Pope Francis is trying to untangle the mess—he will unite everyone, starting with Catholics and Muslims. Of course, he is so uninformed that he doesn’t know he is being used as a tool to accomplish one of the major endeavors of the final days—a world church.

As always, we Baptists refuse to go along, although some liberal Baptists will cooperate with anything if it sounds intellectual, humane, and progressive.

The possibility that Muslims and Roman Catholics would ever unite is literally breathtaking. It seems impossible since both groups claim to be the exclusive path to Heaven. Of course, I never thought the Soviet Union would fall; the Berlin Wall would come down; Jim Hoffa would be found; or Biden would be sitting in the Oval Office, so what do I know?

Muslims have had Rome (Catholic Church) in their sights for hundreds of years, especially after the many Crusades starting in 1098 and lasting intermittently into the early 1200s. European “Christians” led by various popes felt compelled to take Jerusalem from the infidel Muslims who conquered it in 638 A.D. However, the crusades ended when western “Christians” attacked eastern “Christians” by sacking Constantinople in 1204.

There were crusaders with various, dubious, and complex motives for going on a crusade. Some wanted adventure; others wanted to take advantage of the Pope’s offer to get out of debt; some wanted forgiveness of their sins as the Pope promised (but then, no Pope has the authority to forgive sins since only God can do that); some wanted to get away from family responsibilities; many were looking to get rich. Some, no doubt, were genuine Christians led astray by snake oil religious salesmen in clerical collars.

Whatever, Muslims have been peeved since the last crusader staggered back home to France after failing to find his dream—but a vivid nightmare. Muslims want their pound of flesh taken from the gut of Roman Catholicism. They want their flag hoisted over the Vatican.

Imam Mundhir Abdallah, of the Masjid Al-Faruq mosque in Copenhagen, told his followers, “the final solution to the problem of the Levant – after the establishment of the Caliphate and the elimination of the Jewish entity – will be through the conquest of Europe.”

Yunis Al Astal, a popular cleric for Hamas and a scholar on Islamic law, stated, “Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was, as was prophesied by our prophet Muhammad. Today, Rome is the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital, which has declared its hostility to Islam, and has planted the brothers of apes and pigs [Jews] in Palestine, in order to prevent the reawakening of Islam – this capital of theirs will be an advanced post for the Islamic conquests, which will spread through Europe in its entirety, and then will turn to the two Americas, and even Eastern Europe.”

Contrary to what those soft-on-Islam politicians say, Islam has plans: first Rome, then the world. Only fools, fanatics, and facilitators want to unite with others.

Francis had better be careful lest he fails to converge with Islam and is actually conquered by them. If he is not prudent (and he has no record of prudence), he will be snookered by the wily Muslims.

Pope Francis is the most criticized, questioned, and hated pope in my lifetime. He has made some really dumb statements. And many Catholics will agree with me. Disenchantment, disagreement, and dismay with Francis is manifold, not simply relating to Islam. But uniting with Islam would be the most profound action in the 1500 years of the church’s existence.

When Francis went to Morocco, Vatican officials abandoned the traditional papal insignia and replaced it with the cross and the crescent—the longtime symbol of Islam. Furthermore, the crescent did not appear “alongside the cross, as if a companion to it. Rather, the Islamic symbol encircles the Christian one,” symbolizing a kind of submission to Islam.

Pope Francis has accurately been hailed the “defender of Islam,” As Robert Spencer rightly notes: The Vatican sent a special message to all the world’s Muslims, wishing them “a peaceful and fruitful celebration of Ramadan,” according to  Breitbart, May 10, 2019. The Vatican’s message, titled “Christians and Muslims: Promoting Universal Fraternity” said, this was a “month for strengthening the spiritual bonds we share in Muslim-Christian friendship.”

The Catholic message offered much more than a fig leaf suggestion but declared Muslims and Catholics were part of the same spiritual family! “We Muslims and Christians are called to open ourselves to others, knowing and recognizing them as brothers and sisters,” the text states. “In this way, we can tear down walls raised out of fear and ignorance and seek together to build bridges of friendship that are fundamental for the good of all humanity.”

That same declaration brought down heavy criticism on the pope, particularly due to the assertion that the plurality and diversity of religions “are willed by God in His wisdom,” just as God wills a plurality of colors, sexes, races, and languages. Francis is saying God approves of the weird religions in pagan nations! But then, if Francis can convince his cardinals that the Catholic Church is not the only way to Heaven as they have taught and demanded for hundreds of years, then a case can be made for uniting Catholics and Islam—Chrislam.

However, Bishop Athanasius Schneider of Astana, Kazakhstan  totally disagreed with the Pope, saying, “Christianity is the only God-willed religion,” he says. “Therefore, it can never be placed complementarily side by side with other religions.” He explained, “There is only one way to God, and this is Jesus Christ, for He Himself said: ‘I am the Way’ (John 14: 6). There is only one truth, and this is Jesus Christ, for He Himself said: ‘I am the Truth’ (John 14: 6). There is only one true supernatural life of the soul, and this is Jesus Christ, for He Himself said: ‘I am the Life’ (John 14: 6).”

That is one Catholic I agree with in the matter of Christ being our All in All. The church, while important, is not essential to personal salvation.

Make no mistake, this religious amalgamation is one of the most significant attempts in human history! Astute and informed Christians have always known the church would apostatize and plunge headlong into a world religious system that would characterize the end times. We are watching it unfold with the Pope’s effort to unite all religions.

Not only are Bible-believing Christians stunned at this but so are informed and committed Roman Catholics like Bishop Schneider above. They realize uniting all religions, especially those groups that reject Christ as God, is totally contrary to what Catholics have always believed.

It is not a punch line anymore to ask, “Is the Pope a Catholic?”

Francis said, “Turning to mutual respect in interreligious relations, especially between Christians and Muslims, we are called to respect the religion of the other, its teachings, its symbols, its values. Particular respect is due to religious leaders and to places of worship. How painful are attacks on one or other of these!” Such a statement would gag a maggot and nauseate a whole flock of buzzards. The Roman Church tortured and killed fifty million non-Catholics who disagreed with their unbiblical doctrine between 606 A.D. and the middle of the 19th century. It is interesting that some Catholics now declare that the Inquisition never happened!

The late Cardinal Georges Cottier declared, “The Inquisition per se did not exist.” Cottier must have been a member in good standing of the Flat Earth Society until his recent death. He knows better now.

Pope Francis told Christian high school students they should respect people of other faiths and not attempt to convert them to Christianity, insisting, “we are not living in the times of the crusades.” Asked by one of the students how a Christian should treat people of other faiths or no faith, the pope said, “we are all the same, all children of God,” and that true disciples of Jesus do not proselytize.

Well, the vast number of Church critics in the Middle Ages did not believe that message, nor did the Roman Catholic clerics who tortured, skinned, and killed my theological ancestors in the public squares.

In the year he was chosen to replace Benedict, Francis said that the “key for the church is to welcome, not exclude.” However, no sane, informed Catholic expected the Church to accept Muslims and their heretical doctrine as co-equal with Catholics.

Chrislam is constantly working, often behind the scenes, to unite two world religions: Catholicism and Islam. Even Baptist preacher Rick Warren said, “Pope Francis is doing everything right.” Well, Rick has himself made many overtures toward Muslim leaders. It appears that we are all expected to disregard the truth of the ages and sit around holding hands with unbelievers over hot chocolate and brownies while an international choir sings a little off-key, Kumbaya.

Kumbaya, asking “God” to “come by here” and right all wrongs, make every day bright, put everyone on the same level, and wipe away all tears. And the icing on the cake would be to remove everyone who thinks for himself and is committed to truth wherever it leads.

The World Church is being formed as I write but God is not going to “come by here” since it is a satanic, not a scriptural plan. Frankly, merging all the weird religions may sound utopian but the reality is it will be as awkward, strained, unreal, useless, and bizarre as a three-legged horse at the Kentucky Derby.

Then, it will be co-opted by the Man the unbelieving world has been waiting for and the long-awaited world church will be accepted by everyone—or else.

I won’t be here to see that.

Bombs are falling, missiles are flying, and people are dying in the Middle East. As I write this, over 4,100 rockets have fallen on Israel from the “Palestinians” in Gaza and Lebanon. The long-range rockets that can hit Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and the Ben-Gurion Airport originated in Iran, which is the origin of the rocket technology.

Biden and what’s-her-name Harris have managed to destroy our economy, terrorize everyone with unproven vaccines (not safe and effective but dirty and dangerous), and destroyed the relative peace in the Middle East. The Hill opined, “Just over 100 days into office, President Joe Biden has drawn America’s enemies — Iran and its terror proxies — close to the U.S. administration, all while distancing from U.S. allies Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the peacemaking Gulf Arab states.”

The obvious is—well—obvious that Biden and Company are worthless, gutless, mindless, spineless, and toothless. Of course, I may be wrong since I don’t know if they are toothless.

The Biden administration promised in congressional testimony for a stronger and better deal with Iran, but his team is accelerating toward accommodation with the terrorist regime. However, American politicians voting for the Iranian deal is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.

Recently, the Wall Street Journal reported the Biden administration is considering “lifting terrorism-related sanctions on the Central Bank of Iran.” Even honest Liberals (a few still alive) admit that Biden’s weakness and ineptitude have brought this new acceleration of conflict to the Middle East.

When Israel began retaliating against the terrorist attacks, far-leftists in the U.N. and America’s congress demanded Israel stop defending herself!

Obviously, such people are leftist loonies. And apparently, not all the nuts are on trees, but tragically they appear to be multiplying in our government. Everyone has a right to be stupid but in this instance, American politicians have abused the privilege.

The world has been conned by Muslim leaders pleading the case for a separate nation in the Holy Land for the “Palestinian people.” Israel, desperate for peace, agreed to a two-nation arrangement whereby Israel and the “Palestinians” would coexist in the same land area, known as Israel. It is a trade of land for peace and a significant mistake, in my opinion.

The “Palestinians” will have land, but Israel will not get peace. Moreover, the “Palestinians” will be ruled by Muslim tyrants as they have been for generations. This truth is not admitted: Palestinians as a historic group do not exist. Displaced people exist, most of them Arabs, but the “Palestinians” have no history. In the beginning, Palestinians referred to anyone living in what is now Israel.

As war was approaching in 1947, many Arabs living in what is now Israel fled to neighboring Arab nations expecting to return in a short time since the Jews were vastly outnumbered. When Jewish victories multiplied, the Arabs, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire, stayed with friends and relatives in other nations.

John Bagot Glubb, the commander of Jordan’s Arab Legion, was quoted in the London Daily Mail for August 12, 1948, saying, “Villages were frequently abandoned even before they were threatened by the progress of war.” So, contrary to “Palestinian” propaganda, the Arabs were not forced from their homes.

Jewish leader David Ben-Gurion (and soon-to-be Prime Minister) sent Golda Meir to Haifa to persuade the Arabs to stay, and was unsuccessful since the Arabs thought they would be considered traitors if they stayed. Jewish officials warned fellow Jews of severe penalties if any Arab property was molested and enacted a law to guarantee that protection. That fact is never mentioned by bogus “Palestinians.”

As the fighting continued, the trickle of fleeing Arabs became a torrent, with more than 200,000 leaving, expecting to return when the fighting ceased. Israel declared itself an independent nation on May 14, 1948, and after May 15, an additional 300,000 Arabs fled the new state leaving about 160,000 Arabs in Israel. About the same amount of Jews entered the new nation as Arabs who left. Arabs who stayed became Israeli citizens.

The Arab quarter in Haifa became a “ghost town” by May 3. Even in November 1948, after the fighting had ceased, a village of 3,000 Arabs between Tel Aviv and Beersheba decided to flee.

Syrian Prime Minister Haled al Azm admitted that Arab leaders told the Arabs to leave Israel saying, “Since 1948, we have been demanding the return of the refugees to their homes. But we ourselves are the ones who encouraged them to leave. Only a few months separated our call to them to leave and our appeal to the United Nations to resolve on their return.” Again, the Arabs were not robbed of their land but fled as ordered by their leaders, as Jordan’s King Abdullah admitted in his memoirs.

Advocates for “Palestinians” refuse to discuss the Jewish citizens who were forced from Arab nations at that time. That number of displaced Jews following Israel’s independence was about the number of Arabs leaving the new nation. Many displaced Jews were forced to leave with little more than the clothes they were wearing. Of the 820,000 Jewish refugees, about 586,000 of them were resettled in Israel at great expense. The Arab officials confiscated their possessions and provided no compensation.

The Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) is the official voice of “the Palestinians,” and they demand all Jews leave Israel permitting Arabs to occupy the land. The Palestinian National Authority is officially recognized as a state occupying land in the West Bank and Gaza. But they want all the land. Their maps show all the land from the Mediterranean to the Jordan as “Palestine.” Much of the world has tried to get the PLO to agree to an Arab nation adjacent to Israel on land given by Israel.

That would mean Israel would only be nine miles wide in one area. Evidently, Jewish leaders are desperate or deceived or dumb to agree to such an arrangement, and for the record, Jewish politicians can be as stupid as American politicians.

Most people think of Palestine as being the region located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River. That region is mostly Israel made up of 75% Jews, 21% Arabs, and 4% others. Israeli Arabs live in Israel as citizens and even serve in Israel’s legislature.

However, Jews are not even permitted in some Muslim nations and, when permitted, are often persecuted, being forced to flee leaving everything. Jews living in Muslim nations have been forced to pay an added tax (as were Christians) and always experienced subordination, degradation, and humiliation.

Everyone, Jew or Arab, living in what was known as Palestine was known as a Palestinian; however, since Israel became a nation in 1948 and the Arab’s massive attack, those Arabs who fled the new nation have been known as Palestinians. They pretend to be a people like Jews, Italians, Americans, etc.; however, this is all a pretend game.

Pugnacious “Palestinians” are phonies, a political show, and it’s time to pull the curtain on the charade. Palestinians as a historic group have never existed, do not exist now, and will not exist in the future. Muslims may give themselves that label and, with the help of non-thinking leftists in the media, pretend to be what they are not; however, facts are stubborn and unbending. “Palestinians” are the only people in history that came into existence in a single day! Walid Shoebat, a former PLO terrorist, admitted: “Why is it that on June 4, 1967 I was a Jordanian, and overnight I became a Palestinian?” He added that he did not mind Jordanian rule.

Shoebat and his comrades were Jordanians “until the Jews returned to Jerusalem. Then all of the sudden we were Palestinians.” He was saying that when the Jews re-took their historic and biblical homeland, the myth of an Arab Palestinian nation was created out of thin air and promoted worldwide. The gullible media, too lazy to do the research, still spout the PLO line about the pathetic plight of “Palestinian people.”

It is political humbug. Those identified as “Palestinians” are simply refugees from Jordan, Egypt, Syria, and Saudi Arabia. However, millions of these people were born in refugee camps and have been convinced they are “Palestinians,” but they are not. There are no Palestinian people, or history, or culture, or coinage, or language, or uncovered artifacts. Their official flag only goes back to 1964. Palestinians don’t exist and never have. Muslims and media who promote the “Palestinians” are repeating a falsehood, resisting the facts, and are responsible for further bloodshed.

In 1948 through the early 1950s, displaced Arabs lived in wretched squalor in the refugee camps (supposed to be temporary) under the custodial care of the United Nations. Muslim leaders did not care about them until it became politically expedient to do so. Why didn’t Egypt, Jordan, or Syria joyfully absorb those refugees into their care and accept them as citizens? After all, they were the same people. Arab nations intentionally refused to help their own people. They simply did not care what happened to them, but now it is politically expedient to “use” this issue to express their hatred of Israel.

As a young man in the early 1950s, I remember seeing news reports of Muslims in filthy refugee camps and wondering why the United Nations permitted it to continue. Two generations have grown up in those camps, often seething with hatred and encouraged by political opportunists.

Israel was originally called the “land of Canaan” (Gen. 12:5), the “land of Israel” (1 Sam. 13:19), and the “land of Judah” (Isa. 19:17). First-century Jews had a thing about being under the thumb of the Romans (or anyone), so they seethed in constant hatred and rebellion against their oppressors. The Roman Emperor Hadrian (A.D. 117 to 138) was understandably (from his totalitarian view) displeased with the rebellious Jews. He wanted to erase the name of Israel and Judah from history and the face of the Earth.  He decided to ridicule them by renaming the land of Israel Syria Palaestina, identifying them with their hated enemy, the Philistines.

It is from the term Philistines that the name Palestinians has been taken. Emperor Hadrian knew that Philistines were ancient enemies of the Jews, and therefore the emperor showed his hatred and spite by giving Israel a new obnoxious name. The Philistines were not Arabs or Canaanites (and were, in fact, invaders from Crete), and there is no mention of Palestine until the first century with Hadrian.

Before the British set up the 30-year-long Palestine Mandate, Palestinian historian Muhammad Y. Muslih declared, “There was no political unit known as Palestine.” If there was no Palestine, there were no Palestinians.

On March 23, 2012, the Hamas Minister of the Interior and National Security Fathi Hammad linked the Palestinians’ origins to Egypt and the Arabian Peninsula: “Who are the Palestinians?… We are Egyptians; we are Arabs. We are Muslims. We are part of you. Egyptians! Personally, half my family is Egyptian – and the other half are Saudis.”

In A.D. 135, Hadrian put down a Jewish rebellion by killing 580,000 Jews, leveling 985 villages and 50 fortified towns. That is why Jewish writers always refer to him by saying, “may his bones be crushed.” Psalm 83:3-4 probably prophesied Hadrian’s oppressive actions: “They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.”

The “Palestinians” could have had their independent nation years ago, but they refused to recognize Israel’s right to exist. Their religion requires them to hate and kill any Jew “wherever you find them, and take them, and lie in wait for them at every place of ambush.” The PLO’s Charter still calls for the destruction of Israel. Muslim maps don’t even show Israel; moreover, their leaders have often promised to “drive Israel into the sea.”

Those Muslim leaders don’t have the ability, acumen, or aplomb to drive a go-cart.

Everyone has a right to be stupid but in this instance, politicians have abused the privilege as the rockets fall and innocent people die.

Muslims are very touchy people, as evidenced by the killing of ten journalists at the Paris-based satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in 2015 after the magazine published cartoons of Mohammed. Two policemen were also killed, and a teacher in Paris was beheaded eight months later because he had shown some of the cartoons to his class.

Paris officials are almost sure it was a hate crime.

Earlier in 2005, Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten published irreverent, anti-Muslim material, and it caused riots around the world.

Muslims feel strongly what people say about Mohammed and Jews, especially what is said about the Holocaust. No traditional Muslim believes Hitler killed 6 million Jews during WW II. Most Muslims totally reject the Holocaust.

Everyone knows millions of people died during WW II, but it would be stunning for a panel of experts to discuss the circumstances: Who came up with 6 million dead Jews? Has that number been drastically reduced by experts? Has Auschwitz lowered the number of Jews killed from 4 million to 960,000? If so, why do intelligent people still use the 6 million number?

Has a written order been found to document such a vast program of Jewish extermination by the Nazis? Were the 6 million gassed and cremated? Can we discuss the physical problems of gassing and cremating 24,000 each day at Auschwitz alone?

Why not?

Since Hitler was fighting a world war, Holocaust deniers say it would not be wise to kill millions of Jews when Nazis advertised for workers to produce rubber, supplies, bombs, planes, etc., in the prosecution of the war.

Were the stacks of emaciated bodies found at the liberated camps victims of typhus, dysentery, and pneumonia? Did anyone care enough about the truth to check it out?

Many people, other than Muslims, question various parts of the Holocaust story, but the issue must not be discussed, debated, and for sure, not denied. However, it is acceptable to deny that Jesus Christ is God of very God to whom everyone on Earth will give an account. It is also permitted to believe the silly story that the Earth and Universe created themselves. But we must not even discuss the Holocaust and any possible difficulties.

Why not?

The Holocaust would make a stimulating discussion and permit experts to produce their evidence, thereby allowing non-experts to make intelligent decisions. Some may decide the Holocaust happened as per the common belief, while some could deny any Holocaust and decide that Hitler was a misunderstood, lapsed Roman Catholic altar boy. Still, others might decide Jews were murdered, but it was a haphazard program perpetrated by rogue camp superintendents. Some could decide that it is too complex and too much time has passed, so let’s move on with determination to never mistreat anyone, even our enemy.

Whatever the Holocaust facts, surely no true devotee to truth and freedom will defend the incredible sentence of Alison Chablozin in England of 18 weeks in prison for “disseminating grossly offensive material and messages on social media denying the Holocaust.” Prison for not believing the “correct truth”! Where are all the traditional Liberals demanding justice for Alison?

Hey, where are all the Conservative defenders of free speech?

Many will be angry with me for mentioning the banned subject, and some of the news sites that usually publish my columns will refuse this one. Why the fear of discussing this issue?

Or any issue? Can’t truth stand alone? Must it be propped up to protect it from falsehood? I thought truth always dispelled error as light dispels darkness. I demand to know why those who speak the loudest about truth and tolerance refuse to discuss forbidden issues.

It is un-American to have forbidden subjects.

Moreover, almost no one will discuss how German citizens were treated by the Allies following the war’s end. After the war, millions of Germans were put in huge fenced meadows without food, clothing, or protection. It is charged, “7 Million German Civilians were deliberately starved to death on extreme food rationing after the war – Any additional help with food from local sources or the Red Cross was denied.”

Very few Americans know there is anything to discuss about the above. What part did General Eisenhower play in that crime?

Maybe the chest-thumping declarations about devotion to truth are so much showboating by closet totalitarians who are very fearful of the truth.

Less volatile is the issue of forced vaccinations, especially for children. Most medical people adamantly insist on vaccinations when children attend school, although other physicians disagree. Everyone admits that anyone, at any time, can have an adverse reaction to a shot with a disability, disease, or even death resulting. Similar to Russian roulette! We are seeing that at this time with the China coronavirus vaccinations.

Most people believe that vaccinations have contributed to eliminating most childhood diseases in the past 50 years. But dare I ask about the widespread afflictions we have seen in the past 30 years? Is there a correlation between government-mandated shots and allergies, autism, mental retardation, and many other afflictions that were almost unheard of until recent years?

Let’s discuss it.

The charge is that vaccinations of very young children have been the catalyst of many health problems in the past 20 to 30 years with the mumps, measles, and rubella (MMR) and diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus (DPT) vaccinations especially dangerous. And when multiple shots are given at the same time, the evidence of harmful results is compelling. Of course, no one, child or adult, should ever permit a shot that contains mercury or aluminum or human remains.

When parents refuse the required shots, often the physician, with his/her messiah-complex in full bloom, treats the parents as unloving, uneducated, and uninformed Neanderthals. Usually, the physician is the one who drags his or her knuckles on the floor. (And Neanderthals did not drag knuckles either, but many evolutionists do.)

But there can be no public discussion or debate, or disagreement because everyone knows vaccinations have saved millions of lives.

But, let’s discuss it anyway just to prove we can.

It is shocking the number of people who believe the 9/11 attacks were an “inside job” or that the American government knew in advance of the attacks. A Rasmussen poll revealed, “Overall, 22% of all voters believe the President knew about the attacks in advance. A slightly larger number, 29%, believe the CIA knew about the attacks in advance.” A majority of Americans believe that “the government is concealing information about the 9/11 attacks.”

I have seen the video of architects and engineers promoting the theory that the buildings were destroyed by well-placed bombs. The information cannot be dismissed out of hand. Too many professionals (who know far more about it than you and I) have raised too many questions, but we must not talk about it even though it may not change minds.

Why not discuss the facts that possibly make falsifiers look like fools?

Race has become a more volatile subject than any other issue, and there are nuts and non-thinkers on all sides of this issue. Of course, people with weak minds and big mouths use the race club to beat their way into a conversation. I’m a Bible-practicing Christian with a desire to love everyone since God loves everyone; however, that does not mean I must disregard facts and common sense when discussing an issue.

I am white and have been since birth and will probably stay white. Furthermore, I’m somewhat proud to be white, although I’ve been ashamed of what many Whites have done.

I’m also an American; therefore, I believe it is natural, biblical, and only logical to put America first. We should never do anything detrimental to our national interests. In foreign aid, trade, and international affairs, America’s interests should always be first. Frankly, I question the honesty, thinking ability, or patriotism of anyone who disagrees with that proposition.

However, I will fight for their right to be stupid.

Some would declare that such a position makes me a white nationalist. Gasp! Well, I am white by birth and a patriot by choice; therefore, I believe America’s interest must be preferred by Americans in all matters. Consequently, the expectation from the nutty left is that I should immediately fall on my knees and beg for mercy.

When pigs learn to fly in formation and do somersaults over the White House.

No, not even then.

There’s a lot of dishonesty and demagogy or simply dumbness floating around about this issue. One dictionary said a white nationalist is “one of a group of militant whites who espouse white supremacy and advocate enforced racial segregation.” To think they killed a live tree to print such tripe! That might be a good definition of a white supremacist but not of a white nationalist.

But the tripe goes on when you look at the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) website (a radical left-wing group spewing hate while raising money from deceived, deluded, and dumb people). Honest people wonder why anyone supports such a leftist group since they have been discredited in recent months.

The fanatics at the SPLC are too lazy or too prejudiced to do their homework and delineate various controversial groups. They declare, “White nationalist groups espouse white supremacist or white separatist ideologies, often focusing on the alleged inferiority of nonwhites. Groups listed in a variety of other categories – Ku Klux Klan, neo-Confederate, neo-Nazi, racist skinhead, and Christian Identity – could also be fairly described as white nationalist.” That is a tub full of poppycock and more than a dash of hogwash.

With a generous portion of balderdash.

Kristen Clarke of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law said: “There is no defensible distinction that can be drawn between white supremacy, white nationalism or white separatism in society today.” Obviously, Kristen is dumb as a box of rocks, but then, she is a social justice attorney.

One does not have to be a hater to believe that white people have as much right to revere their own kind and seek to preserve their influence—as all groups should do.

But let’s talk about it.

It’s time to open the window and yell, “I’m not going to take it anymore.” Then use what pronouns you choose; tell an innocent joke even about racial minorities—or majorities, “gays,” women, men who pretend to be women or even Fundamentalists. And stop using “the n-word” and use nigger if it’s not used in contempt.

Then, run through the streets, yelling, “Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty, I’m free at last.”

Chinese eat snakes, worms, and water bugs boiled and soaked in vinegar. The wealthier eat live scorpions soaked in strong liquor. Chinese connoisseurs delight in roasted bee larvae and fried silkworm moth larvae after a steaming bowl of ant soup. Others eat large water beetles, stinkbugs, and fly maggots. They raise the larvae of flies in heaps of rotting fish.

Live scorpions are placed on a bed of noodles and gourmets say they taste like potatoes. I’ll take their word for it.

The Chinese mainland has about 100 cockroach farms, and new ones are opening frequently. Even many Chinese were surprised when a million cockroaches broke out of one of those farms! This Great Escape made headlines around the world. Cockroaches are considered a succulent delight and are farmed like chickens in Georgia.

However, health experts reveal that the coronavirus is connected to bats that are considered a delicacy; a viral video has emerged online of a Chinese woman devouring a bat. A second video features a woman eating “bowl of bat soup.” There is little doubt these filthy creatures play a critical role in transmitting the deadly coronavirus.

After a careful review of the habits of ancient Jews, I suggest that Jews were thousands of years ahead of all nations, and a return to their diet and sanitary habits might limit or eliminate many of the world’s diseases.

Some uninformed health officials teach that Egypt was the medical center of the ancient world. This mistake was advanced by the ancient historian Herodotus who recorded that during the days of the Medo-Persian Empire, it was King Darius’ practice “to keep in attendance certain Egyptian doctors, who had a reputation for the highest eminence in their profession.” However, Egypt was not nearly as medically informed as ancient Israel. Egypt was more skillful in building (think, pyramids) than medicine, but Israel was far advanced of all nations in health issues.

An example of Egypt’s medical backwardness is their instructions on removing splinters from the flesh. It consisted of “worm blood, mole, and donkey dung.” However, Doctors S. I. McMillen and David Stern noted that dung “is loaded with tetanus spores” and “a simple splinter often resulted in a gruesome death from lockjaw.”

The ancient Egyptians’ prescription for skin disease was “A hog’s tooth, cat’s dung, dog’s dung, aau-of-samu-oil, berries-of-the-xet-plant, pound and apply as poultice.” (Ancient Egyptian, 1930, p. 92.) Other remedies included dried excrement of a child, hog dung, and a farmer’s urine. One recipe to prevent hair growth included lizard dung and the blood from a cow, donkey, pig, dog, and stag.

It was said that the urine of a faithful wife was effective in the treatment of sore eyes. It seems ancient Egyptians had a thing about dung and urine! Israel was not so backward.

The Encyclopedia Britannica’s conclusion regarding the Bible’s instructions on sanitary and medical practices is very revealing: “The Old Testament is a mine of information on social and personal hygiene. The Jews were indeed pioneers in matters of public health.”

The Jews’ strict regulations regarding sexual activity along with their sanitary regulations plus their treatment of infectious diseases were millennia ahead of all other nations. God gave specific instructions to Israel regarding human waste. They were to relieve themselves away from the living area and to carry a tool for covering excrement! People in third world nations still don’t follow that basic practice!

The Encyclopedia of Medical History declares, “The idea of contagion was foreign to the classic medical tradition and found no place in the voluminous Hippocratic writings. The Old Testament, however, is a rich source for contagionist sentiment, especially in regard to leprosy and venereal disease.” Maybe, just maybe, we should use the Bible to manage our personal lives, not because it is ancient but because it is accurate.

When one looks at the book of Leviticus for treatment of infectious disease he does not see dirty, dangerous, and deadly remedies and ingredients prescribed by Egypt and other ancient civilizations. In fact, the Pentateuch reveals awareness of germs and disease that “modern” medicine did not grasp for 3,500 years after the book was written!

For thousands of years, doctors denied that disease could be transmitted by imperceptible means; but in the 1860s, Louis Pasteur confirmed it in his Germ Theory of Disease. He proved that most infectious diseases were caused by microorganisms originating from outside the body.

Moses gave specific instructions to prevent the spread of disease from dung and dead bodies thousands of years before modern man understood the danger. Moses instructed Jews that diseases such as leprosy were dangerous to everyone and such infected people were to “dwell alone without the camp.” Leviticus 13:45 commands when an infected person came near an uninfected person, the infected person was to “cover his upper lip, and shall cry, ‘unclean! unclean!’” That was not unkind; it saved thousands of innocent lives.

It is obvious that the covering of the upper lip was to keep the infected person from coughing, sneezing, or spitting on non-infected people. On Oct. 9, 2014, it was announced that researchers found that a patient showing no symptoms of the disease “can still transmit a virus like Ebola by air if droplets containing the virus are transmitted to another person by a sneeze or cough.” That is contrary to what major health officials were saying!

It was 1873 that mankind finally realized that leprosy was infectious instead of hereditary but then, Moses and the Israelites knew about it 3,500 years earlier! If a Jew was suspected of being infected he was examined by a priest who confirmed whether or not he was infected. If so, then he was to be removed from the living area until he was healed. That meant quarantine and while it was unpleasant and uncomfortable, it was not unreasonable.

Because of Israel’s advanced knowledge they were the only culture cognizant of infectious diseases with the knowledge of how to deal with them. They were the only group to practice quarantine until the Black Death (bubonic plague) smacked the face of Europe in the 14th century. Millions were dying of plague until church leaders in Vienna thought about the Bible’s plan to stop the spread of infectious disease. Officials required all ships entering Vienna’s port on the Danube to be isolated 40 days to ensure that none of the sailors or passengers was infected. Other cities followed the plan and the Black Death was stopped.

U.S. and world health officials must realize they are health officials not politicians dedicated to making everyone feel good, safe, and fuzzy. We must prohibit anyone from entering the U.S. who has been to any Asian or African nation unless they have been in isolation 21 days. That also includes our southern border where people are entering our nation daily without any physical examination. Even animals have to have shots to enter and kids have to have vaccinations to attend school. You think maybe we could be a little stricter with so many deadly viruses? It is time to act now. If the coronavirus reaches a critical mass, it could become a medical tsunami that will burn itself out after killing millions of people.

Ancient Israel told us how to stop infectious disease: confirm, contain, and confine the disease. Maybe physicians should add the Bible to their medical references.

No one wants to really discuss hatred of Jews as expressed from the local mosques to the haters in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Jordan, et al. While all reasonable people believe in free speech, even offensive speech, no sane person can defend Muslim leaders who belch out poisonous pronouncements against Jews and Christians. Why the inconsistently? Of course, those on the left are notorious for their inconsistency.

When Mohammed pointed his toes upward as he anticipated seeing his assigned 72 green-eyed virgins, his followers began fighting for leadership of the nascent religion. He died (some scholars say poisoned by his favorite wife, Aisha) while cursing Christians and Jews and his invective had poisoned his followers. He had often proved his animus toward Jews and Christians by killing those critical of him. One such critic was Kab, a Jewish poet and Mohammed had him killed. Following the murder of Kab, Mohammed ordered, “Kill any Jew who falls into your power.”

As he built his army, having been booted from his home town Mecca but now in control in Medina, Mohammed discovered that Jewish towns were an easy and rich target. He and his holy robbers started attacking their settlements, especially those that specialized in gold and silver. Mohammed continued to raid Meccan caravans with sporadic success. Back at Mohammed’s hometown of Mecca there was concern that he was “getting too big for his britches,” so they attacked him. In 627, the Meccans were besieging Medina and the Battle of the Trench followed. Some Jews helped in defense of the city, but most were neutral. Mohammed questioned their loyalty, and after the battle, he had all the Jews in the crosshairs. He said that the judgment of God was, “the Jews shall be killed.”

During the night, ditches were dug across the market place of the city. In the morning, Mohammed ordered the male captives to be brought forth in companies of five or six at a time. Each company was forced to sit in a row on the edge of the trench (mass grave) and each captive was beheaded. The bodies were cast in the trench. Some of the women were given to his troops and others sold into slavery. The butchery lasted all day and into the night with the killing of more than 800 Jewish men. After the killing spree was over, Mohammed relieved his stress by sleeping with Rihana whose husband and all male relatives had just been beheaded! War is so stressful! And civilization marches on.

Of course, the above massacre (admitted by Muslim and Western historians) was very profitable. After Mohammed squirreled away his normal 20% of the booty, the rest was divided among his followers. And he got more followers. After all, ladies, loot, and land were available for the taking, and they took.

The above massacre is denied by some uninformed or dishonest Muslims, but it is a fact of history recorded in the New Encyclopedia Britannica: “Some of the evidence against him such as his connivance at assassinations and his approval of the execution of the men of a Jewish clan, are historical matters that cannot be denied.”

With the beheading of over 800 Jewish men following the Battle of the Trench, Muslims tried to make the most from a very bad experience and suggest that it was a battlefield decision. We are told the Jews were the enemy and suffered the brutal results of war but not so. The Jews were not involved in the fighting. Mohammed simply was not satisfied with their lack of enthusiasm for the battle. He hated Jews and so do his followers today.

The Koran is rife with hatred for Jews. Sura 2.88 says, “Our hearts are covered. Nay, Allah has cursed them on account of their unbelief; so little it is that they believe.” Sura 5.51 commands, “O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends.” Sura 5.60 reveals that Allah turned Jews into “apes and swine.”

Through the centuries, Muslims have made a conscious decision to only tolerate Jews and Christians. Often, they also humiliated them by forbidding them to ride horses (jackasses and mules permitted); their homes and houses of worship could not be as high or as elaborate as Islamic buildings; and often Jews could not hold public office. Over the course of more than ten centuries, the use of a special badge to mark Jews was to subdue and humiliate them. In the middle ages, Catholic bishops and, eventually, Nazi leaders did the same thing in occupied Europe.

Benny Morris writes that one symbol of Jewish degradation was the phenomenon of stone-throwing at Jews by Muslim children. Morris quotes a 19th-century traveler: “I have seen a little fellow of six years old, with a troop of fat toddlers of only three and four, teaching [them] to throw stones at a Jew, and one little urchin would, with the greatest coolness, waddle up to the man and literally spit upon his Jewish gaberdine [outer coat often worn by Jews]. To all this the Jew is obliged to submit; it would be more than his life was worth to offer to strike a Mahommedan.” (Morris, Benny, Righteous Victims: A History of the Zionist-Arab Conflict, 1881–2001.)

Speaking at a conference on anti-Semitism in Israel recently, the UK’s Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis said something that would not normally be expressed among liberal interfaith circles in Britain: “The threat to Judaism and Jews from the world of Islam is one which can only be cured from within the world of Islam. And the leaders of Islam have to take a stand.”

Thus far, the Islamic stand on Jewish persecution has been like a chicken with two broken legs.

The hadiths are even more vicious than the Koran in anathematizing the Jews as revealed by Schweitzer and Perry: “They are debased, cursed, anathematized forever by God and so can never repent and be forgiven; they are cheats and traitors; defiant and stubborn; they killed the prophets; they are liars who falsify scripture and take bribes; as infidels they are ritually unclean, a foul odor emanating from them – such is the image of the Jew in classical Islam, degraded and malevolent.” (Schweitzer, Frederick M. and Perry, Marvin, Anti-Semitism: myth and hate from antiquity to the present.)

It is no surprise that Jews are being persecuted today since that is their history. They have been the scapegoat for various plagues, natural disasters, drought, and any anomaly of nature. Muslims must share much of the blame for the vile, vicious, and vulgar treatment of Jews, but few are willing to put Muslims under the bright light of truth.

Instead of casting stones at President Trump, it is time to cast a few questions at the brutal, bloody, barbaric, and backward religion of Islam. The Democrat leadership should ask the Council on American-Islam Relations (CAIR) the following questions since they speak for all Muslims in America:

1. Does Israel have a right to exist as a free nation within secure borders?
2. Do you consider Jews to be “apes and swine”?
3. Will you repudiate all vicious statements made by anyone against Jews?
4. Will you repudiate the shelling of Jerusalem by radical Muslims in Gaza?
5. Will you challenge and renounce the statement in the Hamas Charter that declares, “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it”?
6. Will you denounce the former President of Egypt who said in 1967, “Israel has continued too long… the battle has come in which we shall destroy Israel”?
7. Will you disavow the President of Iran in 2012 who said, “Israel has no roots in the Middle East and would be ‘eliminated’”?
8. Will you disavow, dismiss, and denounce the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s 2012 statement that “Israel is a cancerous tumour that should be cut and will be cut”?

If CAIR refuses to make it clear where they stand on mistreatment, malevolence, and murder of Jews all over the world, then most people of goodwill will consider them sanctimonious hypocrites and the enemy of all people of goodwill.

And I suggest that the Democrats and media moguls stop blaming President Trump for everything including sun spots, leprosy, El Niño, black holes, and dandruff.

Today’s news report that Barbra Streisand accused Trump of making her fat. I kid you not!

The Roman Catholic Church has received major body blows yet still survives. The early conflicts with the Greek Orthodox Church in Constantinople; the virulent, violent, and vicious Crusades against the Muslims and later against “heretics” within the church; the bloody Inquisition; some vile popes (as many as three at a time); the frequent battles with European emperors; and the uneducated, unspiritual, and uncontrolled priests who often bought their positions–all made the church bleed profusely.

Sexual immorality was one of the biggest complaints (along with the selling of indulgences) against the Roman Church as admitted even by Roman Catholic historians. It was common for priests to solicit sexual favors from women in the confessional! Historian Will Durant revealed the alarming fact, “Thousands of priests had concubines, in Germany nearly all. In Rome it was assumed that priests kept concubines, and some reports estimated the prostitutes there at 6,000 in a population not exceeding 100,000.”

He suggests that the convents and monasteries differed “little from public brothels.” It seems the Catholic clergy had a taste for good food and bad women.

Then entered the Reformers!

The early reformers were led by John Wycliffe (died 1384) of England and John Hus (executed in1415) of Bohemia and William Tyndale (executed in 1536) of England who were the forerunners of the Reformation with their emphasis on personal piety and producing the Bible in the common language. Wycliffe died in his sleep following a stroke in 1384 but his bones were exhumed in 1428, burned, and cast into the River Swift as ordered by the Pope.

John Hus was summoned to the Council of Constance and had received a promise of safe conduct by the Emperor and had that assurance from the Pope who declared, “Even if he had killed my own brother…he must be safe while he is at Constance.” The Pope and Emperor lied and Hus was arrested when he arrived at the council. Hus refused to renounce his alleged errors unless he could be shown otherwise from Scripture. To the council he said, “I would not, for a chapel full of gold, recede from the truth.” He was burned at the stake.

Wycliffe, Hus, and Tyndale are called “Pre-reformers” but they were more than that. They set the stage for the major Reformation in the 1500s led by Martin Luther, John Calvin, and others. They were all Reformers and the world owes them much gratitude.

It should be remembered that while Reformers were great men, they were still men and made many mistakes in their lives and ministry. Those mistakes, not to be excused, must not negate the major contributions they made to the Reformation. Readers should realize that most great leaders are complex people whom God uses in spite of their “clay feet.” Just like today.

Martin Luther shockingly wrote in On the Jews and Their Lies, “What shall we Christians do with this damned, rejected race of Jews. Since they live among us and we know about their lying and Blasphemy and cursing, we can not tolerate them if we do not wish to share in their lies, curses, and blasphemy. In this way we cannot quench the inextinguishable fire of divine rage nor convert the Jews. We must prayerfully and reverentially practice a merciful severity.”

His rant continued, “Perhaps we may save a few from the fire and flames [of hell]. We must not seek vengeance. They are surely being punished a thousand times more than we might wish them. Let me give you my honest advice.…their synagogues should be set on fire, and whatever does not burn up should be covered or spread over with dirt so that no one may ever be able to see a cinder or stone of it. And this ought to be done for the honor of God and of Christianity in order that God may see that we are Christians, and that we have not wittingly tolerated or approved of such public lying, cursing, and blaspheming of His son and His Christians.”

I am appalled that a sane man would make such a statement, but for a Christian leader to do so is beyond the pale.

He added: “Let their houses also be shattered and destroyed…Let their prayer books and Talmuds be taken from them, and their whole Bible too; let their rabbis be forbidden, on pain of death, to teach henceforth any more. Let the streets and highways be closed against them. Let them be forbidden to practice usury, and let all their money, and all their treasures of silver and gold be taken from them and put away in safety. And if all this be not enough, let them be driven like mad dogs out of the land.”
He even said, “We are at fault for not slaying them!”

Obviously, good men say and do some stupid things.

In Luther’s Works, he wrote a letter stating, “If you are a preacher of grace, then preach a true and not a fictitious grace; if grace is true, you must bear a true and not a fictitious sin. God does not save people who are only fictitious sinners. Be a sinner and sin boldly, but believe and rejoice in Christ even more boldly…as long as we are here [in this world] we have to sin….No sin will separate us from the Lamb, even though we commit fornication and murder a thousand times a day.”

Luther was correct to make the point that nothing can separate a Christian from Christ; however, it is astounding, and abhorrent and not accurate to suggest that any truly born again person would “commit fornication and murder a thousand times a day.”

It is believed by many that Luther was given to hyperbole since he often spoke of God’s grace covering our sins. He was not saying, “Go out and paint the town red. Live it up. Eat, drink, and be merry.” Whatever he meant, it was a stupid thing to write.

Concerning his position on the Peasants Revolt, he wrote Against the Robbing and Murdering Hordes of Peasants urging, “Therefore let everyone who can, smite, slay and stab, secretly or openly, remembering that nothing can be more poisonous, hurtful or devilish than a rebel. It is just as when one must kill a mad dog; if you do not strike him, he will strike you, and a whole land with you.”

He added, “To kill a peasant is not murder; it is helping to extinguish the conflagration. Let there be no half measures! Crush them! Cut their throats! Transfix them. Leave no stone unturned! To kill a peasant is to destroy a mad dog! If they say that I am very hard and merciless, mercy be damned. Let whoever can stab, strangle, and kill them like mad dogs.”

By 1531, Luther believed that blasphemy was punishable by death and he included “false teaching” into that definition. He got that from his time in the Roman Catholic Church. In 1536, Philip Melanchthon drafted a memorandum demanding death for all Anabaptists and Luther signed it. Wow, now he’s getting close to me because my theological ancestors were Anabaptists.

Luther was not patient with the Roman potentates. He wrote, “We should take him—the pope, the cardinals, and whatever riffraff belongs to His Idolatrous and Papal Holiness—and (as blasphemers) tear out their tongues from the back, and nail them on the gallows.” It was one thing to point out the errors and crimes of the Roman Church but there was no excuse for Luther’s excessive ranting and encouraging physical violence. That’s what the Catholics were doing!

Luther’s problem was not only a problem of discretion but also one of doctrine. He wrote in On Marriage, “As to divorce, it is still a debatable question whether it is allowable. For my part I prefer bigamy to it.” In his Of Married Life, he wrote, “The word and work of God is quite clear, viz., that women are made to be either wives or prostitutes.”

“I confess that I cannot forbid a person to marry several wives, for it does not contradict the Scripture. If a man wishes to marry more than one wife he should be asked whether he is satisfied in his conscience that he may do so in accordance with the word of God. In such a case the civil authority has nothing to do in the matter.”

How would you react if your pastor taught those thoughts last Sunday?

Thomas Muentzer, usually identified as an Anabaptist, was a reformer in Germany and often was in opposition to Luther especially in the Peasants Revolt that Luther criticized and Muentzer championed. Muentzer wrote, “curse the unbelievers…don’t let them live any longer, the evil-doers who turn away from God. For a godless man has no right to live if he hinders the godly. The sword is necessary to exterminate them…if they resist let them be slaughtered without mercy…the ungodly have no right to live, save what the Elect choose to allow them…Now, go at them…it is time…The scoundrels are as dispirited as dogs…Take no notice of the lamentations of the godless! They will beg you… don’t be moved by pity…At them! At them! While the fire is hot! Don’t let your sword get cold! Don’t let it go lame!”

While we must remember the era in which these men lived, that is no justification for such outrageous and unchristian activities.

Muentzer was a leader in the Peasants’ War (1524-1525), and was later imprisoned by the Roman Church. He did not accept infant baptism and believed in additional revelation. He and his followers are usually described as Anabaptists, although there is no evidence that he re-baptized anyone. He recanted his “heresy” and accepted the Catholic mass just before his beheading, and his head was displayed outside the city for years as a warning to others. Muentzer is a good example to believers to be balanced in political matters and to keep one’s eyes on Christ and His teaching.

Ulrich Zwingli (died 1531) was a prominent reformer in Switzerland who had major personal problems. He had a brief affair with a barber’s daughter; slept with a woman from a previous church; was secretly married to Anna Reinhart which was commonly known. They were publically married three months before the birth of their first child. He defended his womanizing by saying he had never defiled a “virgin, nun or married woman.”

That is as bad as, “It depends on what the meaning of is is.”

Under Zwingli in Zurich beginning in 1518, Catholics were forbidden but so were Anabaptists. The city council declared, “It is our will, that wherever they be found, whether singly or in companies, they shall be drowned to death, and that none of them shall be spared.” Felix Manz was an Anabaptist who was arrested and executed for baptizing adults who had trusted Christ after having been sprinkled as babies.

John Calvin (died 1564) was a major reformer in France and Switzerland but influenced Europe and America. He was an intellectual, preacher, author, theologian, attorney, and statesman. His Institutes of the Christian Religion has made an incredible impact on the world. In 1541, Calvin was chosen by the city of Geneva to be their religious leader to supervise the religious education of the cities’ children and to implement his version of church order.

When Michael Servetus (medical doctor and preacher), who did not believe in the Trinity or infant baptism, mentioned that he would come to Geneva, Calvin wrote a letter to a friend noting that if Servetus were to come, “as far as my authority goes, I would not let him leave alive.” Strange talk for a Christian preacher.

Servetus went to Geneva and was arrested, tried, and found guilty of heresy. He was burned at the stake on the outskirts of Geneva. That was indefensible but Calvin’s followers make a feeble attempt to justify the murder. They still do!

While the Reformers were courageous and committed men, they were also challenged men who often failed in choosing to do right when faced with wrong.

The Reformers did their job that shook the world but their results have faded, after all, nothing lasts. Moreover, they failed when they formed state churches that still exist which should be disbanded today. Thank God for the reformers with all their flaws but with the modern sexual perversion endorsed by religious leaders, apostasy by all the mainline denominations, general unbelief and wicked rebellion of church members, it’s time for another Reformation!

Fake news has been in the news lately for good reason–there is so much of it out there. The media moguls think they are the rightful gatekeepers of what the great unwashed populace need to know. Richard Salant, former President of CBS News stated the same working philosophy by stating, “Our job is to give people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have.” That kind of arrogance would gag a maggot.

This warped view of the news was expressed by Richard M. Cohan, Senior Producer of CBS political news who said, “We are going to impose our agenda on the coverage by dealing with issues and subjects that we choose to deal with.” (Emphasis added.) Our agenda! I thought journalists were agenda-free.

Such arrogance is exceeded only by its asininity. However, the news fakers are winning the battle for the minds, if not the souls, of America. The false prophets of fake news are incredibly successful. George Bernard Shaw warned us to “Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance.” Accordingly, President Reagan wisely said, “It isn’t so much that liberals are ignorant. It’s just that they know so many things that aren’t so.”

Truth is irrelevant to most people. While truth will set us free, it often stings at times; so the masses are more comfortable with fake news and false prophets.

It is easier to believe a lie you’ve heard a thousand times than to believe the truth you’ve heard only once. In this column, you will read some truths that will cause you to question my honesty, competence, or my motives. However, while most of the following is shocking, it is all true and all honest people love truth. Honest people hug truth to their bosoms–not error, even popular error. Of course, they first confirm that it is, in fact, the truth.

We all espouse unknown error and honest people will correct their thinking when evidence is provided them. John Maynard Keynes made a very prescient statement when he said, “When my information changes, I alter my conclusions. What do you do, sir?” Great question from a usually confused man. I ask that question of those who read this column regarding the following fake news.

Alfred Kinsey is thought to have been a great, dedicated scientist whose work at Indiana University dealing with human sexuality was classic. However, that is fake news. He was an expert in bugs, not bodies; wasps, not women; moths, not men. Time magazine concluded an article declaring, “Kinsey…has done for sex what Columbus did for geography.” Not hardly! Columbus knew where he wanted to go but didn’t know how to get there; however, he provided mankind with facts about the unknown world. Kinsey knew where he wanted to go and he got there: he wanted to convince sane people that any kind of sex is acceptable, at any age. He succeeded with deliberately flawed and fraudulent information intended to mislead.

Kinsey was weird as a child and it continued into adulthood. As a young man, he initially forced drinking straws, pipe cleaners, pencils, and finally toothbrushes into his urethra to punish himself for having homosexual feelings! He continued doing that with toothbrushes for the rest of his life. Then, he circumcised himself without anesthesia! That is the sex expert people rave about. America has been snookered with false news about sex!

Kinsey’s two books have been quoted by textbook authors as undisputed truth and generations have accepted his mistakes, myths, and madness as scholarship. But Kinsey’s work was not only flawed, and false, but a fraud. His two books on human sexuality are fraught with error, insufficient research, flawed research, even corrupt research. He was in fact, a prominent, pathetic, pedophilic professor who taught that children are sexual from their birth and are “unharmed by sex with adults.”

The above information is supported by The Lancet, vol. 337, 3/2/91, p. 547: “In Kinsey, Sex and Fraud, Dr. Judith A. Reisman and her colleagues demolish the foundations of the two reports … Kinsey et al … questioned an unrepresentative proportion of prison inmates and sex offenders in a survey of ‘normal’ sexual behavior. Presumably some at least of those offenders were also the sources of information on stimulation to orgasm in young children that can only have come from pedophiles–or so it must be hoped. Kinsey…. has left his former co-workers some explaining to do.” But his co-workers did not explain; they only stonewalled.

Please understand that the British medical journal Lancet is charging that Kinsey chose prisoners and sex offenders to study human sexuality and he presented his work as representing normal people! Kinsey proved a basic law: false data produces false results.

Lazy writers quote him without question and his work is still accepted by a generation that likes his fake conclusions: any kind of sex is acceptable, appropriate, and not abnormal. He showed his depravity when he said, “The only unnatural sexual act is that which you cannot perform.” His fake results laid a solid foundation for the Playboy Philosophy. What a shock: the messengers, the message, and the methodology were flawed resulting in twisted, tainted, and troubled generations.

Kinsey’s “scientific research” purported to prove that even infant children were sexual beings capable of having pleasurable sexual experiences with adults! And those adults would be able to lead them into fulfilling sexual activity! Kinsey is now known to have been a sexual pervert and child abuser. He and his staff orally and manually stimulated to orgasm hundreds of children from age two months to fifteen years! He called it research but honest people call it child abuse and false information.

Dr. Judith A. Reisman is the heroin who courageously exploded the facts about the two Kinsey Reports (1948 and 1953) that uninformed people tout as ground-breaking when they were fake news of the worst sort.

Nelson Mandela was a former president of South Africa, member of the Communist African National Congress, and hero to most people but he was arrested and spent 27 years in a South African prison not as a civil rights fighter but for sabotage (and other crimes). When arrested he had on his person an article in his own handwriting, “Why I am a Good Communist.”

The white government offered him his freedom many times if he would renounce terror and violence but he refused and continued his prison sentence and enhanced his reputation as a weird kind of martyr. But white liberals are fearful of the truth and continue to produce fake news perpetuating the false information that Mandela was a highly principled man for all people to emulate. That is fake information intended to mislead.

Martin Luther King, Jr. had courage but little character. He made a contribution to the civil rights cause but few newsmakers are willing to tell the truth about his philandering, his plagiarism, and his prevarication. The young college students, some who died, were the real heroes of the civil rights movement while many of the leaders were more interested in a “buck and a broad” than in anyone’s civil rights. As the veteran activist Michael Harrington delicately phrased it, the movement was “not at all a sour-faced, pietistic” endeavor. “Everybody was out getting laid. Or trying to.”

The London Daily Mail (Aug. 30, 2013) reported, “Leading one of the most astonishing double lives in history, King was not just the Bible-thumping champion of the rights of man, but also an inveterate womaniser who cheated on his wife throughout their marriage.” So, slowly the media are willing to tell the truth about King even as they promote his contributions to the civil rights movement. King slept with some of his church members as reported by the Daily Mail: “Sleeping with female members was the norm rather than the exception and King himself admitted that he didn’t know a single black preacher who was chaste.” That was a slander to the black preachers I know who are godly, committed preachers or maybe it says something about the preachers with whom King was associated.

One more bit of fake news that will test the character of readers who are committed to truth. In dealing with this subject, I take the chance of losing friends while I hand my critics a chain saw and climb out on a limb: It is fake news that six millions Jews were slaughtered in Hitler’s concentration camps! Now, the skinheads and Jew haters will probably run with this to the extreme and all Holocaust Deniers will be encouraged in their extremist views. Hitler was a rabid hater and be wary of those who try to explain, excuse, and exonerate him from his bloodbath of Europe. But, those interested in truth need not fear to admit that the original six million deaths was an overstatement by the Soviet Union. No principled person should be fearful of truth. Whatever the number killed, Hitler was still a monster.

The Polish government’s Auschwitz State Museum along with Israel’s Yad Vashem Holocaust Center have conceded that the 4 million figure inscribed on a memorial plaque at Auschwitz was a gross exaggeration. It was removed and the authorities changed the total to 1.1 million deaths “of all causes.” Israeli Holocaust historian Yehuda Bauer said in 1989 that it is time to finally acknowledge the familiar four million figure [at Auschwitz] is a deliberate myth.

The Daily Telegraph for July 17, 1990 reported, “Auschwitz Deaths Reduced to a Million”; and the Washington Times of July 17, 1990 declared, “Poland Reduces Auschwitz Death Toll Estimate to 1 Million” No informed, honest person speaks or writes of six million Jews killed in Nazi camps.

One reason false prophets have been so successful with their fake news is because of a failing church. Pastors have simply failed to teach people to think for themselves, do their own research, commit to truth whatever the cost, and be willing to take a stand if they stand alone. In other words, modern church members are usually non-readers, non-thinkers, and non-doers. Moreover, many pastors feel less threatened when members don’t think.
Some of the information in this column has been offensive to some readers but it is better to disturbed by the truth than deceived by error.

The following statement used to be seen on almost every business door: “We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.” Of course, those days of freedom are gone forever and most Americans think that is good. I don’t. If a person starts a business, works day and night for a few years until he or she is successful, it is not the business of the local, state, or federal government to tell him or her whom they must serve.

Nevertheless, if a Black, Jew, Christian, or Eskimo is refused service why is that such a dastardly crime? After all, there are many other similar businesses where a refused person can go. But no, they were discriminated against and will take a “pound of flesh” out of the discriminator. I maintain that discrimination may be a sin but it sure shouldn’t be a crime. Plus, the anti-discriminators are almost always guilty of massive overkill. Of course, it is bad to not get a job because you are young, Black, Christian, female, or other but then do you really want to work with bigots? And don’t even bigots have a right to run their business the way they choose? They can even run it into the ground!

To tell the truth, everyone discriminates every day and there is biblical support for it. The Jews were special people and were required by God to maintain their special status. God discriminated against every other living man when He chose Abraham to become the progenitor of the Jewish race. Jews were forbidden to marry Gentiles; Gentiles were permitted in the Temple court but not inside the Temple under penalty of death; the High Priest was the only man on earth who could enter the Holy of Holies–once a year. Christ originally came only to the Jews and then offered His message to the world.

In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul told the Galatians to discriminate in favor of other Christians in 6:10 “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” That is one reason I try to patronize Christian businesses. For fast food, Chick-fil-a is my choice even though I am not excited about some of their decisions. I choose to eat there not only because they have good food but because of their professed Christian faith. Same with Hobby Lobby and others. That is discrimination and no authority of earth will change that.

Members of the Masonic Lodge give priority to their fellow masons in business activities and while I do not believe any Christian should be a member of any secret order, the Masons have a right to freely assemble and go through their silly routines and worship any god they choose. They also have the right to patronize the business of a fellow Mason and that is discrimination but what sane person would want to make that a crime? Masons are criticized because they discriminate against women but then don’t they have a right to have an all-male club if they desire? Any male can be a Mason, I suppose, unless he is on the State Sex Offender Registry or the FBI’s Top Ten Wanted list. There is still some freedom left in America.

The most discrimination in America is against Christians but that seems to be “good” or “accepted” discrimination by the leftists. We are often called “fundamentalists” or “fundies” usually considered pejorative terms. Anyone who has spent some time in university classes, especially science classes, has seen the extreme brow-beating, harassing, and bullying of Christians by bigoted professors (soothsayers of science) who are unsure of their immature, unscientific, embarrassing lectures. Such professors should be considered uneducated, unscholarly, and unnecessary. And maybe they should become unemployed! They fall into the same category as flat-earthers, phrenologists, astrologers, and snake handlers!

Dr. Stephen J. Gould called creationists, “kooky,” “yahoos,” and “latter-day antediluvians” and he characterized scientific creationism as “the nonsense term of the century.” However, Steve refused to make those charges in public debate where informed creationists could make him look like a “yahoo.” He declared, “Creationist-bashing is a noble and necessary pursuit these days.” Isaac Asimov showed his hatred and bigotry (proof of hatred and bigotry on the left!) when he wrote that creationists “…are stupid, lying people who are not to be trusted in any way.” Richard Dawkins called us feeble-minded, pathetic, and intellectual cavemen in his book, The Blind Watchmaker. In a Times Literary Supplement, Dawkins called us a “gang of ignorant crackpots.” Obviously, many evolutionists are as mean as a junkyard dog when discussing Christians.

There are numerous examples of discrimination in academia against Christians especially in graduate and post graduate programs. One professor of physics at the University of California waited until he had his Ph.D. before “coming out of the closet” about origins. He declared, “Well, now that I’ve got tenure, that means I can’t be fired for simply believing in recent six-day creation and the world-wide Noahic Flood. If I had been outspoken on the issue before, I doubt I would have obtained tenure….I am convinced there is far more evidence for a recent, six-day creation and a global Flood than there is for an old earth and evolution.”

Then there was the well-publicized case of Forrest Mims, a highly-qualified scientific writer whose employment by Scientific American was “openly denied on the grounds of his creationist views.” But that kind of discrimination is acceptable by the hypocrites on the left.

Dr. Jerry Bergman, author of Slaughter of the Dissidents: The Shocking Truth about Killing the Careers of Darwin Doubters interviewed over 300 scientists and educators with advanced degrees and all admitted to receiving some kind of discrimination because of their biblical beliefs! Bergman estimates that on average about 400 cases of flagrant discrimination occur annually in America, and that the vast majority are not contested in court by the victims because they recognize the impossibility of getting justice.

Another example of flagrant discrimination is that of Dr. Raymond Damadian who invented the MRI diagnostic machine that has saved thousands of lives. Yet, Dr. Damadian was bypassed by the Nobel Prize that was given to two other men who made improvements on his device! Many academics, even some who disagree with Damadian’s Christian views (he was born again in the 1957 Billy Graham Crusade in NYC), maintain that he should have received the prize. If not alone, then at least as one of the three since Nobel rules permit as many as three to be named for a prize. Honest people are asking why he was refused since there would not be an MRI without Damadian!

Famous atheist philosopher Michael Ruse suggested that Damadian might have been denied a Nobel Prize because of his creationist views, saying: “I cringe at the thought that Raymond Damadian was refused his just honor because of his religious beliefs. Having silly ideas [six-day creationism] in one field is no good reason to deny merit for great ideas in another field. Apart from the fact that this time the Creation Scientists will think that there is good reason to think that they are the objects of unfair treatment at the hands of the scientific community.”

Obviously many people experience discrimination so chill out, lighten up, don’t be so sensitive, stop whining; a little discrimination won’t hurt you and if it does, you’ll get over it.

After all, you didn’t invent the most important diagnostic medical device with the glory going to subordinates because you believe in true science and the Bible.

Bigots are as easy to find in science, academia, and the media as a bowling ball in a bathtub.

For instance, Egyptian health officials gave instructions how to draw splinters from the flesh which consisted of “worm blood, mole, and donkey dung.” However, doctors S. I. McMillen and David Stern note that dung “is loaded with tetanus spores” and “a simple splinter often resulted in a gruesome death from lockjaw.”

The Ancient Egyptian provided prescriptions for skin disease as “A hog’s tooth, cat’s dung, dog’s dung, aau-of-samu-oil, berries-of-the-xet-plant, pound and apply as poultice.” Other remedies included dried excrement of a child, hog dung, and a farmer’s urine. One recipe to prevent hair growth included lizard dung and the blood from a cow, donkey, pig, dog, and stag.

It was said that the urine of a faithful wife was effective in the treatment of sore eyes. It seems ancient Egyptians had a thing about dung and urine! Israel was not so backward.

The Encyclopedia Britannica’s conclusion regarding the Bible’s instructions on sanitary and medical practices is very revealing: “The Old Testament is a mine of information on social and personal hygiene. The Jews were indeed pioneers in matters of public health.”

The Jews’ strict regulations regarding sexual activity along with their sanitation regulations plus their treatment of infectious diseases were millennia ahead of all other nations. God gave specific instructions for Israel regarding human waste. They were to relieve themselves away from the living area and to carry a tool for covering excrement! People in third world nations still don’t have this basic knowledge!

The Encyclopedia of Medical History declares, “The idea of contagion was foreign to the classic medical tradition and found no place in the voluminous Hippocratic writings. The Old Testament, however, is a rich source for contagionist (sic) sentiment, especially in regard to leprosy and venereal disease.” Maybe, just maybe we should use the Bible to control our personal lives, not because it is ancient but because it is accurate.

When one looks at the book of Leviticus for treatment of infectious disease he does not see dirty, dangerous, and deadly remedies and ingredients prescribed by Egypt and other ancient civilizations. In fact, the Pentateuch reveals awareness of germs and disease that “modern” medicine did not grasp for 3,500 years after the books were written!

For thousands of years doctors denied that disease could be transmitted by imperceptible means but in the 1860s Louis Pasteur confirmed in his Germ Theory of Disease that most infectious diseases were caused by microorganisms originating from outside the body.

Moses gave specific instructions to prevent the spread of disease from dung and dead bodies thousands of years before modern man understood the danger. Moses instructed Jews that diseases such as leprosy were dangerous to everyone and such infected people were to “dwell alone without the camp.” Lev. 13:45 commands when an infected person came into the vicinity of others who were not infected, the infected person was to “cover his upper lip, and shall cry, ‘unclean! unclean!’” That was not unkind and saved thousands of innocent lives.

It is obvious that the covering of the upper lip was to keep the infected person from coughing, sneezing, or spiting on non-infected people. On Oct. 9, 2014, it was announced that researchers found that a patient showing no symptoms of the disease “can still transmit a virus like Ebola by air if droplets containing the virus are transmitted to another person by a sneeze or cough.” That is contrary to what major health officials have been saying!

It was 1873 that mankind finally realized that leprosy was infectious instead of hereditary but then, Moses and the Israelites knew about it 3,500 years earlier! If a Jew was suspected of being infected he was examined by a priest who confirmed whether or not he was. If so, then he was to be removed from the living area until he was healed. That meant quarantine and while it was unpleasant and uncomfortable, it was not unreasonable.

Because of Israel’s advanced knowledge they were the only culture cognizant of infectious disease with the knowledge how to deal with them. They were the only group to practice quarantine until the Black Death (bubonic plague) smacked the face of Europe in the 14th century. Millions were dying of plague until church leaders in Vienna thought about the Bible’s plan to stop the spread of infectious disease. Officials required all ships entering Vienna’s port on the Danube to be isolated 40 days to ensure that none of the sailors or passengers was infected. Other cities followed the plan and the Black Death was stopped.

U.S. and world health officials had better realize they are health officials not politicians dedicated to not making anyone angry. We must prohibit anyone to enter the U.S. who has been to any African nation unless they have been in quarantine 21 days. That also includes our southern border. People are entering our nation daily without any physical examination and no shots. Even animals have to have shots to enter and kids have to have vaccinations to go to school. You think maybe we could be a little stricter with the deadly Ebola virus? It is time to act now. If Ebola reaches a critical mass, it could become a medical tsunami that will burn itself out after killing millions of people.

Maybe Obama should sign an executive order forbidding the Ebola virus to enter the U.S.!
