Every sane person agrees that we must do whatever is necessary to keep bad people out. A wall, barrier, fence, hedge, railing, screen, paling, partition, barrier, barricade, or whatever you choose to call it will stop most of the bad guys. That will result in America’s stability, security, and survival.

It will also stop or slow down “good” guys who refuse to follow U.S. rules, regulations, and requirements to enter. Coming to America is not a right but a privilege: a privilege we choose to grant to those who will become a help not a hindrance.

Donald Trump has promised to build a wall on the southern border to keep drug pushers, terrorists, and tomato pickers from gatecrashing into America without following U.S. rules. Progressives (former liberals who lost the immigration debate and changed their name thinking none of us would notice) have resorted to ridicule but that is easier than addressing the problem.

Moreover, ridicule is the last resort of the dumb, the deceived, and the demented.

Walls have been used since the beginning of time for defense, privacy, and “to protect the people of a certain region from the influence or perceived danger posed by outsiders.” In fact, an ancient city without walls was an invitation for disaster. Walls discouraged some barbarians, delayed others, and defeated still others.

A well-fortified city with high, wide walls, watchtowers, and iron gates was a good guarantee of peace and prosperity, but never a panacea. The Psalmist said in 122:7, “Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.” Who would want to live or start a business in a vulnerable city? A walled city offered security, stability, and sociality—even survival. People who lived outside walled cities were known as “pagans,” and were “rustic,” or “of or relating to the countryside,” and later were thought to be uncivilized or unenlightened people. Yes, I suppose if people chose to live in a violent, unprotected area, they would qualify as “unenlightened.” And dead.

In other words, thinking intelligent people lived behind walls, big walls if possible. So, today’s progressives such as Hillary Clinton live in gated or high-rise communities yet ridicule a wall on our southern border. Clinton’s New York mansion has a high, attractive wall. In many parts of the world, homes are commonly built surrounded by walls topped with wire or glass for protection. That is to keep them away from us.

The Pope lives in the Vatican, a walled enclave within the city of Rome, yet wants us to build bridges instead of walls.

Pope Francis, tear down that wall! And open your palace and the Vatican to the poor, oppressed, and those looking only to better themselves. Practice what you preach.

When Moses sent twelve men to spy out the land of Canaan, they returned and informed him of the conditions of the land. Most of them spoke of an incredible land of very large people living within walled cities. They spoke from exaggerated facts and fear, not faith. The spineless spies warned in Deut. 1:28, “the cities are great and walled up to heaven”–a slight hyperbole! They declared, “All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars.” They were saying, “Moses, you are a dummy if you think we can take those walled cities. We have no battering rams, no ladders, and no trees to provide the necessary siege instruments. Let’s go somewhere else.”

But the first walled city to be taken was Jericho, the “world’s first city.” Most people are familiar with the wall of Jericho that was miraculously destroyed to permit Joshua and the Israelites to conquer the city and the land. I have been to the excavation site of those ruins many times. It was a well-fortified city but it fell by faith, not by force because the walls of Jericho fell in obedience to God. The people within the city thought they were safe because of their protective walls; they were wrong. This is no argument for not building a wall.

It is an argument to prove that ancient people used walls to protect themselves, sometimes unsuccessfully, especially when God wanted the wall destroyed to bring judgment upon a people.

King Nebuchadnezzar II (reigned 605-562 B.C.) is famous mainly because of his association with the Hebrew prophet Daniel and his three buddies. Nebuchadnezzar built three walls around Babylon and one was so broad that a four-horse chariot could turn around on it. The Ishtar Gate in the wall was said to be more impressive than any of the Wonders of the Ancient World.

Herodotus the Greek historian declared, “Babylon surpasses in wonder any city in the known world” and said that the wall was 56 miles long, 80 feet thick and 320 feet high! That is higher than a football field is long! Even allowing for the usual exaggeration which afflicted ancient historians, it was a very high wall. There was a wide and deep moat that encircled the entire city. No wonder it was commonly believed that Babylon was impregnable. But no one told two Hebrew prophets and King Cyrus that “fact” and the city fell to the Medes and Persians—but the wall stood! A wall will not guarantee survival but it’s a great beginning.

Jerusalem is one of the oldest cities in the world and during its long history it has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times. It is one of the oldest walled cities. The wall has been built many times but the rock foundation and a few rows of original Herodian stones can still be seen. The wall is less than 3 miles long, the average height is 39.37 feet, and the average thickness is 8.2 feet. The wall also contains 34 watchtowers and 8 gates. On some of my 13 tours that I have led to the Middle East, I took some of the group for a trek along the top of the wall to provide a different perspective of the city and its surroundings.

Even with the wall, the destruction of Jerusalem and Solomon’s Temple was accomplished by Nebuchadnezzar in 586 B.C. and the city and Herod’s Temple, also known as the Second Temple, were destroyed by Titus in A.D. 70. The destruction in A.D. 70 was prophesied by Christ in Mark 13:1-2 when He said, “And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” Note how precise He was in that not one stone would be left upon another. That was not poetic. Some of the Temple stones were 37 feet long, 12 feet high, and 18 feet wide. According to a PBS special, one stone weighed over 300 tons and they wondered if modern equipment could move such stones! It would take hundreds of men to move one stone but why would weary soldiers even try to do so after an exhausting battle?

The prophecy was fulfilled literally when the Romans completely destroyed Jerusalem and the temple buildings. One reason for the fall was the Jews were divided into three groups, even killing each other as the Roman Army was outside the wall! Rome prevailed and according to historian and eyewitness Josephus, the massive stones were moved by the soldiers, pried apart to collect the gold leaf that melted from the roof when the temple was set on fire. The city was taken after a four year siege! The prophecy was precisely fulfilled.

Like Jericho, Babylon, and Jerusalem, the walls did not guarantee safety but then there are no guarantees in life. You do the best you can to protect yourself; but to invite thieves, thugs, and terrorists with open borders is insane. Borders are biblical and reasonable and a wall is needed along our southern border.

The Great Wall of China with all its branches is 13,171 miles long extending east-to-west across the northern border of China and it was built to protect a nation not a city. And like city walls, it had a measure of success. It was built over the centuries beginning in about 221 B.C. to protect the Chinese against raids from nomadic groups from Mongolia. It was finished in the 17th century but fell into disrepair until recent years. The wall was also used to control immigration and permitted the imposition of taxes on goods that were transported along the Silk Road from Europe to China. When China extended its northern border, the wall became obsolete–except as a tourist attraction. It has four million visitors annually. The 2,500 watchtowers and garrison stations permitted watchers to send smoke signals to alert inland troops of approaching danger.

A modern myth has prevailed and is believed by most people that the Great Wall of China is the only man-made structure on earth that can be seen from the moon. But that is not true. Modern day scholars and scientists, as well as those who have traveled to the moon, have debunked this claim repeatedly but it is still often repeated.

But then there are many myths about walls that are espoused today in political discussion: we don’t really need a wall; a wall is an insult to our Mexican friends; a wall will not accomplish anything other than anger others; if people want in, they will get in; and at a cost of $25 billion, it is too expensive. Not if Mexico pays for it. Mexico has clearly and bluntly said that they will never pay for it but they will if America increases fines for overstaying visas and imposes a tax on every dollar sent to Mexico by workers in the U.S. About $20 billion per year is sent to Mexico from the U.S., usually by electronic transfer typically in about $300 amounts. Taking a small fee at the place of origin from each transaction will soon pay for the wall. After all, much of that money was never taxed.

Trump’s Wall, like the Great Wall of China, can be successful and provide a measure of peace and prosperity but it is not a panacea.

Whatever their reasons for coming, these people have few and low skills making them much more likely to seek public assistance, gorge the school system, overwhelm the health care industry, and spike the crime reports. Is that bigotry or hatred? No, it is a demonstrable truth.

A report by the Center for Immigration Studies revealed that children of immigrants compose the majority of the student population in 700 of the country’s largest school areas! No one knows how many are illegal. According to the report, “23 percent of all public school students enrolled in 2015 were from an immigrant household, compared to 11 percent in 1990, and 7 percent in 1980.” Even Senator Schumer can see a dangerous trend in that report.

But it gets worse. In large metropolitan areas such as northern Virginia, Houston, and New York City, “93 percent of all students are the children of immigrants.” That was 93%! Take that information as it relates to the public school system and extrapolate it to the welfare system, health care system, public libraries, etc. Obviously, there is a major train wreck in our future.

Concerned taxpayers should be concerned about illegal and legal immigration. Harvard professor George Borjas affirmed, “the United States has been granting entry visas to persons who have relatives in the United States, with no regard to their skills or economic potential.” He said that, “Immigrants today are less skilled than their predecessors, more likely to require public assistance, and far more likely to have children who remain in poor, segregated communities.”

The professor said that immigration is bad news for America’s poor, and that is supported when one understands that wages of U.S. high school dropouts have fallen 10% since the 1980s relative to the wages of more educated workers. Dr. Borjas declared that about a third of that decline is because of immigration. The empirical evidence strongly suggests that immigration is aggravating the problem of poverty according to Professor Borjas.

Furthermore, almost thirty percent of the immigrants now living in this country are of Mexican origin.

NBC News reported that the town of San Luis, Arizona has about 3,000 residents but has 20,000 post office boxes; but still stranger is the fact that most of those box holders live in Mexico! The reason for this unusual practice is because the Mexican citizens living across the border in Mexico use them as a permanent American address to collect public benefits from you. Are you surprised that you provide those benefits? Do you feel warm and fuzzy knowing that you go to work each day to support parasites across the border?

It is an obvious truth that if large numbers of Mexicans, legal or illegal, enter the U.S. it will relieve some of Mexico’s economic and social problems, but what will it do to America’s? How can anyone even attempt to defend the reprehensible practice of American citizens funding the policy of providing for foreigners, especially foreigners who break the law? Only pathetic people who worship at the shrine of global government would even attempt such defense.

The pro-immigration advocates tell us that immigrants don’t take jobs; they make jobs and pay taxes; however, while that is true in some cases, it is not true when one looks at the total picture. A report in August of 2004 revealed that illegals cost Americans ten billion dollars more than they pay in taxes! Professor Borjas suggests that the immigrants’ cash welfare benefits alone cost about $1 billion more than is paid by them in taxes annually.

Repeatedly we are told by pro-immigration advocates that Mexicans and others are needed to do work that Americans will not do–but a more correct statement is that they take jobs that Americans don’t want at the going wage! In difficult times, most Americans will take any job to put food on the table. I’m sure few Americans feel good knowing that illegal immigrants are working at entry level wages producing bigger profits for the agri-businesses.

It is long past time for America to take control of our borders as a basic responsibility. Public officials have a basic responsibility to keep out all non-citizens, arrest those now living here illegally, and demand that our friends south of the border stop playing the hypocrite and close their northern border. If Mexican officials have genuine concern for these immigrants, they could offer asylum to them and solve the problem for the immigrants, Mexico, and the U.S.

It’s past time to get started. If Mexico refuses to cooperate (and continues to encourage such illegal activity) then Trump should close Mexican consulates, restrict tourism into America and Mexico, and stop or reduce aid and trade with Mexico. Hit them where it hurts.

When Sadiq Khan was first elected mayor of London, the back slapping, non-stop parties, and the popping of champagne corks were ubiquitous but the rejoicing has stopped as reality has set in. Their “See, we aren’t racists since we elected a Muslim mayor” crusade has flopped. Khan can’t run a city with his Muslim prejudices, principles, policies, and practices. London is fast becoming a Muslim city!

Even British singer and author, Steven Patrick Morrissey stated that London “is debased” and that “civilisation is over.” All the attacks in London have been done by non-white criminals! A newspaper headline screamed, “London is ‘DEBASED’ Morrissey rages at Sadiq Khan after violent epidemic”!

Islam has caused problems in other major European cities in Germany, France, Sweden, and others. Recent headlines screamed, “Forty per cent of residents in Sweden’s now 61 no-go ‘troubled areas’ fear for their safety when walking outside after dark.” And, “Migrants turn Germany’s streets into warzone. Two groups attack each other with machetes in Duisburg.” France is having riots because Muslims take over and fill major streets each Friday to pray.

And the same movie is coming to America.

U.S. borders have been leaking like a sieve for generations and we are reaping what we have been sowing. It is not healthy for a nation to have unrestricted immigration; and during wars, national pestilences, or terror, it is doubly insane not to have strong borders! With a massive increase in crime, burgeoning welfare rolls, cities and states whining about being out of money, and hundreds of thousands of Americans out of work we still have non-thinkers who demand almost open borders! We might as well erect a huge flashing sign on our southern border: “All illegal aliens are Welcome! Follow the arrows to Tucson!” We could add an additional sign promising “free medical care and education”!

The Border Patrol catches over 300,000 illegal crossers at the southern border each year and often those immigrants bring with them disease, drugs, and destructive plans to the U.S. During fiscal year 2017, the Border Patrol apprehended deportable aliens along the U.S.–Mexico border who came from 84 countries that are not in the Americas! Only 42.1% of “deportable aliens” caught along our southern border were Mexicans.

Furthermore, there is a massive amount of Fentanyl coming across our southern border. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid 50 to 100 times stronger than heroin which is the number one killer drug in America. According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, nearly all of the fentanyl in America is from Mexico. A border wall would stop or at least slow down this killer drug.

Most illegal aliens come to America to work in agriculture; however, if farmers can come, so can fanatics. Most of the illegals are not from Mexico, but they are coming through Mexico. With that in mind, President Trump wants to give amnesty to 1.8 million illegals that came as children! That was not what he promised to do.

Many Americans don’t realize that we are sitting on a bubbling volcano that is about to explode, or to change the metaphor, the ticking time bomb is about to explode! It seems few citizens have read what immigration has done and is doing to European nations such as Sweden, Norway, England, France, and Germany.

There are an estimated 100,000 illegal aliens from terror-friendly nations hiding in the U.S. and Americans will hold national politicians, especially the GOP, responsible for terrorism resulting from inaction, ineptitude, or incompetence relating to border security. Observant people know that our immigration situation is a ticking time bomb about to explode!

Should American taxpayers be expected to fund illegal immigrants? Informed people can defend the position that we should not finance legal immigrants! But, it’s too late because the Washington Post reported the Obama administration gave about 541,000 Social Security numbers to illegal immigrants under his original 2012 deportation amnesty for Dreamers! We have insensitive, insane, and incompetent officials in Washington.

But you knew that.

Birthed by Obama, DACA stands for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. We are told that it is only right to give citizenship status to the innocent children since it wasn’t their decision to break our immigration laws. But what if a family breaks into Dollywood, Disney World, or Clyde’s Gator Farm without paying. When discovered can they plead that it is only right for them to spend all day without paying or being expelled? Maybe even a free lunch in the name of compassion. After all, they were already there.

I note that DACA zealots all use the same language in their pitch for amnesty and for sure, that’s what it is. Everyone speaks of “kids” and not simply “kids” but “incredible kids” and the strong implication is that they are all brilliant students, normal Americans, dedicated workers, future Ph.Ds; and budding Nobel Prize laureates. Others (less brilliant) are “proud members of the military.” It would almost be un-American to send them home. However, to give them citizenship is saying to the world: sneak into the U.S. as a minor and you will have citizenship. Under chain migration rules, a citizen can bring in his relatives so dreamers’ relatives also become citizens!

I see a major train wreck ahead. Or, to change metaphors, every ship ever constructed has a limit as to the number it can handle–so with a nation. The boat is full. Pull up the ladder.

We are told, “this is the only home they have known,” and they would find it impossible to adjust to the nation of their origin. However, that is not true. Mickey Kaus’ excellent Sept. 12, 2017 column in the Washington Post–yes, that Washington Post–reveals that most came here at 8-12 years of age (and older). Therefore, they were not brought here cradled in a parent’s arms; consequently, they would have little problem with their national language.

Moreover, dreamers would not be totally ignorant of the culture since most of them lived a few years in their homeland. Additionally, unknown to many Americans, a huge number of them came alone. A dreamer is not a dreamer because he or she was brought here by parents. Anyone who came here illegally under age 16 qualifies as a dreamer. Remember all those kids who rode the tops of trains and others who slogged alone across the border? Under Obama’s DACA’s rules to qualify, they were required to enroll in high school but they were not required to continue!

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) reveals that much of the propaganda from the promoters of amnesty is totally false. USCIS lists 149 nations from which DACA applicants came and 26 of those have English as the national language! Still others are from nations where English is often used by a large English speaking part of the nation. Furthermore, according to Matt O’Brien in his Issue Brief “at least 36 of the nations of origin listed by USCIS are European.” Most of those nations have very generous welfare programs far superior to the U.S. so a dreamer sent back would not be in financial difficulty.

Nor are they all innocent, academically superior, proud Americans since over 2,000 individuals were convicted of alien smuggling, sexual assault, and other crimes. Their status as dreamers was rightly terminated. Many others are about to be terminated. However, there should be a few exceptions for those who obviously would be a major contribution to America. In other words, select those and put them on the track to eventual citizenship.

The plea about them serving faithfully in the military is also bogus because fewer than 900 DACA recipients joined the military! That means a little more than one tenth of one percent of the total DACA population served in the military. That’s not the message my heart and head were getting.

Moreover, amnesty will only perpetuate more illegal crossings to gain citizenship. They won’t have to “stand in line” to come to America as our daughter-in-law did. She spent years getting her final papers. Now, she would be a fool to spend so much time and money when she could fly into a Mexican border town from Manila and wade one of the shallow spots at the Rio Grande. Voilà, she would become an American under Trump’s plan without waiting or spending money.

Trump is strangely demanding that illegal aliens receive amnesty and eventual citizenship whereas if they were returned to their country of origin, many of them would get much higher benefits than in America. Furthermore, Trump will have to tell true U.S. citizen youth how he can justify illegal aliens taking jobs and educational positions from true citizens.

Matt O’Brian suggested that many of the DACA applicants came from nations that are hostile to the U.S. Moreover, their nations of origin are not known for thorough vetting such as Pakistan, Iran, Venezuela, Libya, Syria, and Yemen. Only a naïve fool suggests that we can be sure no terrorists are embedded in the DACA crowd.

Many politicians and media personalities are saying, “Is it fair to send the DACA kids back to their homeland” but they are asking the wrong question. They should ask, “What is the best decision for America?”

Finally, the number of DACA kids was 800,000 yet President Trump recommended 1.8 million would be covered and on the road to citizenship! Wait a minute! What happened? What did he get for more than doubling the number? Surely, a novice horse trader would expect something in return. In trading, you never give without getting.

President Trump, it is not in America’s best interest to add 1.8 million to a path for citizenship. That will not “make America great again.” The dreamers will turn America into a nightmare.

I was wrong and you were right about DACA Mr. Trump, but now I am right and you are wrong. I was willing to admit my mistake, are you?

The Mexican Republic wants to solve one of its major problems by sending its poorest of the poor to the U.S. to work plus those poor (who work) usually send money back to Mexico. Mexico can’t lose, but you can.

Mexican politicians have an affinity toward open borders that permits its citizens to work and travel wherever they desire. Wonder how many Canadians and Americans would rush to Mexico to live and work? Mexican officials and their lackeys are playing the part of the hypocrite regarding immigration. They don’t practice what they preach!

Mexico requires people who emigrate to their country to have useful skills and a pension plan from their nation of origin! They also forcefully impose border control at their southern border while they promote illegal crossing into the U.S. at their northern border! If America enforced similar laws, the Mexican authorities would scream like a stuck pig! In the event you want to know, hypocrite in Spanish is el hipocritea.

Compare a person who is caught slipping into Mexico with one doing so in America. For sure, Mexico would not give such a person a survival pack and point him in a northerly direction? Gatecrashers into Mexico get years in a stinking prison and gain freedom only after enormous bribes to the proper officials.

It is reckless and false to suggest that an enormous invasion of under educated, low-skilled, often hostile gatecrashers will not have a long term, adverse effect on America. America is being transformed as you slumber and sleep, and if you don’t mind that and your bleating heart demands that we open our borders to permit anyone access, then so be it. However, you will have no right to weep, whimper, and whine when you can’t get a job or when your taxes are doubled, and when your kids can’t be educated in an overcrowded public school. So get accustomed to seeing signs in Spanish everywhere, and workers who are supposed to serve you don’t speak clear English.

It is true that people are suffering all over the world, and many of the gatecrashers only want a better life; however, that is true but does that mean that America should be the social welfare system for the world, as well as the world’s policeman? After all, there is a limit to what one country can do and most Americans don’t know that we have been taking in over half of the immigrants of the world! Here’s a shattering thought: If immigration is good for America, then it would be good for other countries, so let’s spread it around so that all 196 countries can benefit! We should not be selfish so let every nation do its part and reap the benefits!

I recommend that U.S. officials make a rigorous attempt to detain all illegal immigrants; imprison those who are known criminals and expel all others who are simply gatecrashers? If we apprehended only one terrorist in the group, it would be advantageous. Remember that he (or she) could be planning to drop a bomb over your city or poison your water supply! I am asked, how could we remove all of them; however, we don’t need to get of all of them. We can get rid of most of them.

All Mexican and Central American illegals could be loaded in a ship off the coast of California, sail to the Mexican Coast, and dump them for Mexican officials to deal with. We could then give each of the remaining illegal aliens a one way ticket to the country of their origin or the desert if their choice.

I suggest that we:

*Pull up the ladder and permit no more immigration for at least five years with only a few exceptions.

*Close all the holes in our northern and southern borders even using the military, drones, helicopters, and any new technology to get the job done.

*Assess huge penalties to any business that hires an illegal alien. Double the fine for a second offense. Jail for the third. That won’t make me popular with the Chamber of Commerce but then I’m not in a popularity contest.

*Realize that people who are not U.S. citizens do not have the same rights that Americans have; therefore expel all who are here illegally. As a precaution, fingerprint and photograph them and imprison them if they return.

*We should fingerprint and photograph all emigrants who come to America from any nation, but especially Islamic nations, and fine them heavily if they overstay their visas. Then, send them back to the desert.

*Repudiate multiculturalism (the outrageous suggestion that all religions and cultures have equal value) as anti-American and anti-common sense. Furthermore, we will no longer feel guilty for being Americans.

*Put America first in every way since it is national suicide to do otherwise.

Good people can honestly disagree about wars in the Middle East but when it comes to protecting America’s borders, it is clear: If U. S. politicians don’t protect America from cultural suicide and terrorist activities, what good will a tax cut and deficit reduction do us? If President Trump fails to keep this promise then his legacy will be a president who failed to keep his oath to uphold the Constitution.

We don’t need any nation’s uneducated, unskilled, and unmotivated people. It is not selfish, but sane and sensible to permit only those who will contribute to our nation.

Since people from Mexico and South America have lower skills, they are more likely to request public assistance, gorge the public school system, overwhelm the health care industry, and spike the crime reports. Bigotry? Not at all. Just the facts. We know that 15% of California K-12 students are children of illegal aliens. Furthermore, they cost California citizens over 11 billion dollars per year for health, education, and incarceration! No wonder, the state is bankrupt! Did you know that 26% of U. S. Federal prisoners are illegal aliens? They are not in prison for being gatecrashers but for committing crimes in the U.S.!

We should be concerned about illegal and legal immigration since there are 35 million immigrants in the U.S. Harvard economist George Borjas affirmed that “the United States has been granting entry visas to persons who have relatives in the United States, with no regard to their skills or economic potential.” He said that, “Immigrants today are less skilled than their predecessors, more likely to require public assistance, and far more likely to have children who remain in poor, segregated communities.” Obama was correct when he said that immigrants have been a “net plus for our economy and our society,” but is a total fabrication if one looks at the last fifty years or illegal immigration. This new policy will cost us plenty in many ways.

Borjas says, immigration is positively bad news for America’s poor. The wages of America’s high school dropouts have fallen 10% since the 1980s relative to the wages of more educated workers. Borjas declares that about a third of that decline is because of immigration. Almost 30 percent of the immigrants now living in this country are of Mexican origin. Borjas can be trusted with his stats since he is “America’s leading immigration economist” according to BusinessWeek and The Wall Street Journal.

The empirical evidence suggests that immigration is exacerbating this problem of poverty according to Professor Borjas. Surely all thinking people would agree that any immigration policy should not be detrimental to the present population. That is suicidal.

We must admit that if large numbers of Mexicans, legal or illegal, enter the U.S. it will relieve some of Mexico’s social and economic problems, but what will it do to ours? By what twisted logic are U.S. citizens expected to take their hard-earned money to provide for foreigners, especially foreigners who are criminals? Maybe it can be justified if you worship at the shrine of global government, but no thinking person does that, do they?

Obama responded to the medical needs of the avalanche of illegals by immediately requiring Arizona to ship federal emergency medical supplies to a holding center in Nogales. He has not been so swift to provide for veterans who risked their lives for us. Moreover, Obama set up housing for the illegals on military bases at a cost of $225.00 per person per day! He was quick to promise, during his reelection in 2007, that he would not permit inaction regarding homeless vets but he has yet to open any military bases to house one family.

The pro-immigration people tell us that immigrants don’t take jobs, they make jobs and pay taxes. However, while that is true in some individual cases, it is not true in the aggregate. George Borjas estimates that the immigrants’ cash welfare benefits alone cost about $1 billion more than is paid by them in taxes each year. Almost 30% of California’s immigrants from Mexico are on welfare!

We are told that Mexicans are needed as agricultural workers, work that Americans will not do, but a more correct statement is that they take jobs that Americans don’t want to work at the going wage! When times get tough, Americans will work at any job to put food on the table. Don’t you feel good knowing that Mexicans are working at very low wages to make more profit for the agri-businesses?

In recent years your income slowed while immigration did not. It is suicide to continue on the path of disaster we are traveling. Take action now. If not, we will see dozens of “Detroits” across the nation.

Congress must stop Obama’s “Get Out of Jail Card” and “Pass Go, Collect Welfare” schemes. Impeach the President!

Obama has generous support for amnesty from the wealthiest liberal non-profits in the nation such as the Ford Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Open Society Foundations of the financier George Soros, and the Atlantic Philanthropies. For more than ten years those groups have given more than $300 million to immigrant organizations, “including many fighting for a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.” Those groups and others are using money from U.S. sources to destroy America as we know it!

Even in normal times, it is insane for a nation to have open borders where anyone for any reason can enter without restrictions. Then when you consider a time of war, national pestilence, or terror, it is doubly insane to permit unrestricted entry into a nation. That’s about where the U.S. is today. With an astronomical increase in crime; with burgeoning welfare roles; with cities and states whining about empty coffers; with hundreds of thousands of Americans out of work and more to follow; we still have almost open borders! We might as well put up a huge sign on our southern border: “Terrorists and other illegal aliens Welcome! Follow the arrows to Tucson!” Maybe an additional sign promising “free medical care and education”!

Open border fanatics tell us that “The U.S. had open borders from its inception until 1882. It makes one wonder what the Founding Fathers would think of us today!” However, that is not the whole story because in 1882 there was much of America unexplored, uninhabited, and unavailable. We needed the people–farmers, smiths, merchants, salesmen, trappers, cobblers who came and fell in love with their new nation, learned English, and melted into the pot. But the pot is not melting today. It is now a salad bowl where many different peoples do their own thing and have no interest in the general welfare.

Treason is “any attempt to overthrow the government or impair the well-being of a state to which one owes allegiance.” That means anyone, including leading politicians, who seeks to weaken our nation, worsen our economy, or wreck our system is a traitor. We must leave room for honest disagreement as to how to solve a problem but to disassemble a defense that has been utilized for a hundred years qualifies as treason.

Thousands of illegal aliens cross into the U.S. from Mexico carrying drugs, disease, and destructive plans to our nation. Others want to pick tomatoes and other vegetables; however if tomato pickers can slip in, so can terrorists. Yet, we have major politicians (including President Obama) who are so unconcerned, they are determined to give amnesty to those gatecrashers already here! That would be an invitation for even more illegals to rush north.

The current very negative consequences of immigration are largely because more recent groups aren’t learning English at the same rates as their predecessors. Harvard economist George Borjas suggests that “it’s not very costly anymore” for new immigrants if they don’t learn English because so many of them have formed communities that insulate them from other Americans. Therefore, they don’t need to learn English since they can function with each other. Illegal aliens get lost in a huge group of their own kind and don’t need to melt into the pot. They sit, soak, and sour in the salad bowl.

We should send a loud message to all politicians that it is time to take charge of our borders to clean up the mess: Build the wall; no amnesty; no more guest workers until the economy stabilizes; no more immigration for five years; fine businesses who hire illegal aliens; send the gate crashers home; arrest the “coyotes” who get rich smuggling illegals across the border; demand that our “friends” in Mexico stop playing the hypocrite and close their northern border as they have their southern border. It’s past time to get started.

Mexico and other Central American nations want the poorest of the poor, the densest of the dense, and the sickest of the sick, and the most violent of the violent to come to the U.S. to work because that solves problems that those countries won’t have to handle. Additionally, some of the gatecrashers usually send money back home so everyone wins–except Americans.

Mexico requires people who immigrate to their country to have useful skills and a pension plan from their nation of origin! They also vigorously enforce border control at their southern border! If the U.S. enforced similar laws, the Mexican officials would scream like a stuck pig! How do you say “hypocrite” in Spanish? Mexico is now making a temporary exception giving 72 hour passes for illegals, mostly small children, from nations south of Mexico.

Wonder what would happen if I were caught slipping into Mexico? Do you think they would give me a survival pack and point me toward Acapulco where I could live a bohemian life on the beach? No, I would spend years in a stinking prison, gaining my freedom only after enormous bribes to the proper officials?

It is irresponsible to suggest that a huge influx of low-skilled, under-educated, often hostile gatecrashers will not have a long term, adverse effect on America. Our nation is being changed as you sleep. Now if you don’t mind that and your bleating heart demands that we open our borders to permit anyone access, then so be it. But don’t whine when you can’t get a job or when your taxes are double what they are now, when your kids can’t be educated in an overcrowded public school (where they shouldn’t be anyway), when you see signs in Spanish everywhere you look, and when workers who are supposed to serve you can’t speak English.

My critics whine that children are in danger in their native lands and many of the gatecrashers only want a better life. That may be true; however, does that mean that America must become the social welfare system for the world, as well as the world’s policeman? After all, is there not a limit to what one country can do? Moreover, while John Kerry may be uncomfortable with American “exceptionalism,” why don’t the Central American gatecrashers settle down in Mexico and save themselves all that money for smugglers and all that effort to get to the Rio Grande? They don’t stop in Mexico because it is a corrupt, second-world nation and because they believe the USA is a better destination.

Most Americans don’t realize that we take in over half of the immigrants of the world! Wait a minute, what about England, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, Russia, China, etc.? If immigration is good for America, then it would be good for other nations, so let’s spread it around so that all countries can benefit!

Pro-immigration voices will accuse me and others of wanting to pull up the ladder once we have climbed aboard the ship. Yes, all nations are nations of immigrants, but just because we have been generous in the past does not mean that we must have no restrictions in the future. After all, every ship has a limit as to the number of passengers it can carry. Pulling in one more passenger may sink the boat! My question for pro-immigration advocates: Should America permit an unlimited number of immigrants? No sane person believes in unlimited immigration!

May I suggest that authorities make a concerted effort to apprehend all illegal immigrants; jail those who are known criminals and expel all others who are “only” gatecrashers? If we picked up only one terrorist in the group, it would be worthwhile. After all, he may be the one planning to drop a bomb over your city or poison your water supply! But how could we remove them? Simply load Mexican illegal aliens in a ship off the California coast, sail to the southern Mexican Coast, and dump them for Mexican officials to deal with. Then give each of the other illegal aliens a one way ticket to the country of their origin or to one of the nations whose leaders whine about the U.S. “pulling up the ladder”!

I suggest that we:

*Pull up the ladder. No more immigration for at least five years.
*Plug all holes in our northern and southern borders even using the military, drones, helicopters, etc.
*Assess large penalties to any employer who hires an illegal alien.
*Recognize that non-citizens do not have the rights that Americans have. Deport all who are here illegally. Fingerprint and photograph them and imprison them if they return.
*Fingerprint and photograph all visitors who come to America from Islamic nations. Fine them heavily if they overstay their visas.
*Reject multiculturalism (that all cultures and religions have equal value to everyone) as anti-American and anti-common sense. We will no longer have a guilt complex and apologize for being Americans.

It was shocking, scandalous, and stupid for Obama to be in Texas and refuse to visit the border. President Bush did a flyover after the Hurricane Katrina disaster and then-Senator Obama attacked him for callously not doing an onsite review of the damage. It was devastating to Bush. During his Colorado/Texas fund-raising trip, Obama played pool but stayed far from the border!

I don’t know if he won the pool game or not, but, for sure, he is now behind the eight ball! He’s a loser and lackey of the left and should be impeached.

Few people know that the first example of a just war was Abraham who led his army of 318 men to pursue a four-king confederacy from, at that time, the small lands of Chaldea and Persia. Those kings had invaded the land and taken Abraham’s nephew and servants captive along with some property. Abraham was outnumbered but he chased the invaders almost to Damascus and rescued the people and property. He was not concerned with attaining land, riches, or power, but to right a wrong. That is the reason all wars should be fought.

Nevertheless, I do not agree with those who declare that America has a mandate to right all the wrongs of the world and to establish freedom around the world–at taxpayer expense!

I’m all for freedom; however, it is insane to try to impose a democracy on people who have no history of freedom and no desire for it. Totalitarians of all stripes find true freedom anathema. All true Muslims are totalitarians. Read their books and listen to their leaders. They don’t want democracy or representative government but desire, demand, demonstrate for sharia law.

Moreover, since I demand consistency of myself, I believe that all nations are sovereign; therefore, we have no right to infringe on a nation’s sovereignty unless there is just cause for doing so. We now have two examples that justify our incursion into two sovereign nations–Mexico and Sudan.

There is an American Marine in a dirty, dangerous, even deadly Mexican prison because he made a wrong turn! Sgt. Andrew Tahmooresi, being treated for PTSD in San Diego, served faithfully two tours in Afghanistan and while driving south in California on March 23 he inadvertently drove into Mexico. In his car were three legal guns. Mexican thugs physically abused him, stripped him naked, and chained him to a bed. While he languishes in a Tijuana jail, American politicians don’t even talk about his intolerable, illegal, and immoral incarceration.

Tomorrow, Obama should announce that within 24 hours a detachment of Marines will land in helicopters outside the prison and achieve his release. He should say that no one wants bloodshed but the Marine will not be “left behind.” However, a massive pile of rubble may be left behind.

Corrupt Mexican officials, like most tyrants, like to push innocent people around but they are not known to be courageous warriors. They have the same reputation the French have in warfare: French WW II military rifles can be purchased cheaply since they have never been fired and only thrown down once! The Mexican thugs in uniform will cave like a house of cards when real warriors arrive. The fact is they will cave following the President’s warning which is the reason for the warning.

A more egregious case is Meriam Ibrahim who was arrested by the Sudan government in August of 2013. Meriam’s father was a Muslim who abandoned the family when she was very young. She was reared by her Christian mother and was married in a Christian church to Daniel Wadi, an American citizen. Her father’s family complained about the marriage resulting in her conviction for adultery since her marriage was not recognized by the religious tyrants and apostasy although she had never been a Muslim.

In an Islamic paradise a man is permitted to marry a non-Muslim; however, a woman is forbidden to marry outside the Muslim religion. Her original sentence was to be lashed 100 times for adultery followed by death by hanging for apostasy. Furthermore, the law requires that children must follow their father’s religion. (But then, that would make Obama a Muslim!) Just another example of barbarians trying to control every aspect of one’s life.

The 27-year-old mother recently gave birth to her second child, Maya, while in prison along with her older child. It was reported that she was chained by her ankle while giving birth!

A few days ago she was freed from prison after an appeals court overturned the original conviction; however, she and her children, along with her husband were detained at an airport in Sudan a few hours after her release. Then on Thursday she and her family were released although she is in imminent danger and has received death threats from “peaceful” Muslims. At present, she and her family are in the American Embassy waiting permission to leave the country.

We need to enforce the old truth that Americans should feel safe anyplace in the world and our government should guarantee that fact. There is ample precedent for doing so especially based on the Teddy Roosevelt adventure.

In 1904 American businessman Ion Perdicaris and his stepson were kidnapped by Muslim terrorists. They were taken from their home in Tangier by Raisuli, the “Last of the Barbary Pirates,” and held for $70,000 ransom along with other demands. President Roosevelt (a progressive!) sent seven battleships to Morocco and a message: “This government wants Perdicaris alive or Raisuli dead.” Perdicaris was released in a few days!

That international incident was an example of Teddy’s “Speak softly and carry a big stick” philosophy. Obama speaks softly (when he has a teleprompter) and carries a wet noodle.

Obama doesn’t need to send seven battleships to Sudan; one frigate should do the job since Muslims seem to have the same lack of courage Mexicans have. Although Muslims do seem to have their way with women and children! Obama should use his phone to warn the cowards in Sudan to release the family or a frigate loaded with Marines will sail into the Red Sea within twenty-four hours.

This administration is the most incompetent, impotent, and inept in the past century and is reaping what has been sowed for about six years. We have a weak, wimpy, worthless president, and everyone who voted for him has bloody hands. He laid a foundation for appeasement by kowtowing and bowing toward his Muslim buddies, refusing to identify terrorists as terrorists and his unskillful, unprofessional, and unforgivable bungling of Benghazi.

We should officially recognize that all Muslim nations are terrorist nations and should close all our embassies in those nations and send all Muslim ambassadors packing for their desert homes.

I suggest that it is past time for America to identify our friends and our foes, and to stop kissing our foes and kicking our friends. Friendly nations should be assured that it pays to be friends with America and our foes should be thoroughly convinced that it will cost them to be our enemies. The cost should start today: No more money to any Muslim nation. Frankly, there should be no money to any nation! The International Welfare Window should be closed!

Obama’s weakness, waffling, and wobbling on principle is a major problem for us. I would not permit him to lead a Boy Scout troop on a nature hike in a city park, and I would not trust Secretary of State John Kerry to procure a bottle of Ketchup from the corner Seven Eleven.

Meanwhile, Obama, should call out the Marines and rescue our people. He would be using his phone for some good for a change.
