The NFL’s 2017 Official Playing Rules prohibit players from “wearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages” or “which relate to political activities or causes.” That obviously means that when a man signs (usually a multi-million dollar contract) to play in the NFL, he agrees to limit his freedom of expression on game day to what the league considers appropriate. Protestors who refuse to keep their contract prove they have problems with commitment, conscience, and character.

The players insist that they have a right to express their views and of course they do but not as professional ball players on game day. They can surrender their million dollar salaries and spout off all they want about any subject. However, they are not that principled. The issue is not that important. If many of them walked out of their contract, they would have to get a normal job.

Commissioner of the NFL Roger Goodell called Mr. Trump’s criticism of kneeling players “divisive” and “demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL, our great game and all of our players, and a failure to understand the overwhelming force for good our clubs and players represent in our communities.” But maybe it’s not Trump but the players that are “divisive.” After all, there would not be an issue if they had obeyed their contract and the law of common sense.

When hardcore Patriots fans boo their own team it is not a good sign and indicative that the NFL is going to lose big time in this Battle of Bended Knee. There has also been booing at the citadels of liberalism–Washington D.C. and Boston! Fans are speaking but the NFL is not listening.

By kneeling, these overpaid men are disrespecting the courageous soldiers who fought and died on battlefields without huge salaries, fringe benefits, cheerleaders, television interviews, bands, and cheering fans. They had their limbs torn off, were blinded, shell-shocked, and often came home to face resentment, ridicule, and rejection. Protesting players will only face empty stadiums.

It seems the NFL players are not too smart. Maybe they can’t read the reports that reveal that 64% of Americans think they are immature, and irresponsible, even immoral. Note that the issue of supporting young (or old), black (or white), male (or female), poor (or rich) people who get killed refusing to obey or threatening police officers is not being discussed. Maybe professional athletes would be more productive if they convinced our American youth to obey the law.

Fans pay outrageous prices to attend professional sport events and are not interested in the political, religions, or sexual views of the players. Play Ball! Players are making a political statement, even a shameful statement; yet, remember when the player was forbidden from wearing a shirt stating “Know Jesus, Know Peace” at an after game news conference? What about his rights?

This all started in late August 2016 when the San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback Colin Kaepernick refused to stand for the anthem saying, “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.” While in an imperfect society there will always be oppression, there is no systemic oppression of Blacks in America. We elected Obama twice to the presidency! In fact, it’s the other way around. All minority players have to do to get their way (and ten minutes on CNN) is to whine to a leftist reporter and Bingo, it’s done.

Now this is the same Kaepernick who wore socks depicting cops as pigs, and who wore a Fidel Castro shirt! He supports Black Lives Matter that demands cops be killed. Moreover, the London Daily Mail reported this week that he gave $25,000 to a group that honors a convicted cop killer who escaped prison and is living safely in Cuba! Is this man clueless or is he so insecure that he will do anything to get attention? For sure, principled he is not.

Following Kaepernick’s “brave” performance, other non-thinkers followed lemming-like over the precipice; and the contagion has spread to over a hundred protesting players all contrary to NFL rules. It is very interesting that the NFL would not permit the Dallas Cowboys to wear a decal supporting Dallas police on their helmets last year after five Dallas police officers were murdered since it would be a violation of their code. It is interesting that more than a hundred NFL players have been arrested for murder, domestic abuse, aggravated assault, drug possession, felony marijuana possession, or lessor crimes!

It has even spread to Congress when Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), always ready to play the race card, took to the House floor to kneel in solidarity with NFL players who chose to defy President Trump and protest police brutality. Lee said you “cannot deny that Trump calling players who kneel a ‘son of a b….’ is racism.” No, race had nothing to do with it and while Trump’s statement was inexcusably crude, it was not racist.

The gentlewoman from Texas said of the protestors, “I kneel in honor of them. I kneel in front of the flag and on this floor,” Jackson Lee declared. So, she made a fool of herself (again) never missing an opportunity to do so and knelt on the floor of the House.

Some players “bravely” raise a clinched fist at ball games but they do release their fist to pick the taxpayers’ pockets since taxpayers at all levels of government subsidize football stadiums to the tune of an estimated $1 billion every year. Furthermore, the NFL alone is a $14 billion-a-year machine that may slowly grind to a halt if they further antagonize their fans. The league uses some of that money to make sure the footballs are properly inflated, but permit their players to flaunt our laws repeatedly and insult our military and flag.

Frankly, I wouldn’t pay $5.00 to see a professional ball game let alone pay the league average of $82.00 per ticket and $31.00 to park. A bottle of cold beer averages $7.00 and while I’ve never drunk a bottle of beer, that seems a little high.

Remember when it was not “brave” to kneel at a football game. In fact, it was “sanctimonious” when Tim Tebow knelt on one knee after winning or making a good play. But he was sincerely thanking God and while I believe a case can be made that it was unnecessary, that is his business as long as he obeyed his contract with the NFL.

There is a definite time to kneel as Psalm 95:6 commands, “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.”

That kind of kneeling is what really matters.

Michael Brown, who developed thugery to perfection, was killed by Officer Darren Wilson. One was a knight, the other was a knave. One was a hero, the other a zero. For honest people, there is no question that the right person died that day although no one had to die. It was not a “death-by-cop” but death-by-choice, Mike’s choice.

Does anyone believe that radical leftists would be so involved, so incensed, or so irrational if both men had been black? Obviously, they would not because they don’t care about the many Blacks that kill other Blacks every day in Chicago and other cities. On that issue, the race baiters are silent. It doesn’t fit their agenda.

Mike would be alive if he had not been high on marijuana and robbed a store only 15 minutes before he was lawfully accosted by the officer. Maybe the drug was the cause of his refusal to obey the reasonable and lawful order to stop walking in the middle of the street; the reason that he tried to take the officer’s gun; and the reason he continued to charge the officer who was armed and had already shot at him.

Radical leftists, especially in the media, are not interested in justice for Brown and, for sure, not interested in Wilson who simply did his duty and fought for his life. They are interested in their agenda regardless of the facts. They are the biggest hypocrites in America–people without principle. They found Wilson guilty from the start long before anyone knew the facts! Then after hearing the truth, they continue to regurgitate the same dishonest propaganda.

Mike Brown’s mother characterized her dead son as one who would “never do anything to anyone.” Her lawyer told ABC News, “I don’t worry about the due process for Officer Wilson.” Benjamin Crump went on: “I worry about the due process for the little black boy dead on the ground.” So, the Brown attorney is not interested in justice; it seems he wants to lynch a white police officer. Then he characterizes big, burly, boisterous Brown as a “little boy”! What a jerk!

A black celebrity called Brown “merely a child.” The true story is that he was a 292 pound bully who flashed gang signs in photos and took drugs, at least marijuana.

Informed people have always known that liberals have problems with thinking but it seems they also cannot read because I have never seen such distortion, deception, and dishonesty as in the media coverage of the Brown shooting.

Officer Wilson’s life is destroyed because of Big Bully Brown and he will always have a target on his back. Moreover, all police officers will hesitate before defending their own life or an innocent person’s life because of the Ferguson Fiasco. Other potential police officers will refuse to subject themselves to such treatment and will choose a less stressful profession.

To those people who still have praise for Brown and seek persecution and prosecution for Officer Wilson, I want to ask whether they honestly think the world would be better if Brown had successfully taken the gun and killed Wilson? Surely, no honest, clear-thinking person takes that position.

The rampage in Ferguson must not be used by frustrated patriots as a reason for revolt to begin “America’s Second Revolution” because that would play into the hands of America-haters who take advantage of every crisis to “totally remake America” in the image of other totalitarians.

There is no doubt that Brown chose to die as a thug who resisted authority. His parents obviously raised a rebel and must take some, not all, maybe not much, but some blame for rearing a young man who did not respect authority and that lack of respect caused his death.

I would believe the same thing if Brown had been white and Wilson had been black. Race only matters to the racists.

For those trying to decide on the right and wrong of this issue, I ask: would you want to live in a city without any Officer Wilsons? For sure, considering all the facts, the right person died in Ferguson.

Maybe this is evidence of a Black Klan led by Obama, Holder, and Nixon (white man) with Rev. Al as their Kludd (chaplain). Welcome to the new thugocracy where thugs rule and fools follow faithfully.

I would tell the mayor that I will not obey her subpoena and submit my sermons to her or anyone! Period. That means “never” even if ordered to comply by the U.S. Supreme Court, the Department of Justice or even the President of the United States! Those entities are part of the problem! President Obama signed the U.N. Declaration on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and even hosted in the White House (that’s our house) the first meeting with transgender activists! Furthermore, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ruled last year that “gender identity or expression” in the workplace is protected under federal civil rights law!

The lunatics, leftists, and losers have taken over the asylum. Note that I have not used the mayor’s name since I don’t want to honor her in doing so. It was not accidental.

I do have good news for the mayor. She can hear my sermons Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday evening. In fact, she can bring her girlfriend also. Moreover, they will be invited, along with thieves, muggers, liars, and fornicators, to “hit the sawdust trail” and repent at the altar for the vile sin of homosexuality. I will even personalize my sermons and preach the clear Bible teaching that all sex outside of marriage is wrong and same sex “marriage” is vile, vulgar, and venomous. I will document my position from the Bible then will provide overwhelming proof that all church leaders down through the centuries have stood exactly where I stand. I will preach of God’s purpose, parameters, and prerequisites for marriage. And she and her girlfriend haven’t met His qualifications.

I will preach that if she and her girlfriend show no remorse, no regret, no repentance there will be eternal judgment for them! I will preach from Jer. 6:15: “Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.” That passage teaches that same sex “marriages” are squalid, shameful, sorry, sordid, and sinful.

Furthermore, our church restrooms will not be transgendered. Men and boys will use the same restroom for males and girls and women will use another restroom for females. Each gender will be required to have the appropriate “equipment.” If anyone tries to enter a restroom without the correct obvious physical characteristics, they will be removed by a couple of my burley deacons without ceremony onto the parking lot. That goes for the mayor and her girlfriend. It also goes for any of her bodyguards! Deacons grow big in Houston.

Our lawyers are not needed. We are not interested in pleadings, polls and petitions but we will protest. I have invited all pastors in Houston to meet with me outside the mayor’s office this Friday at noon. We will not sing, pray, or preach but we will stand there as silent witnesses to the fact that no one on earth, no court, no official will tell us what to preach or to change our stand on morality. And for sure, we will not remodel our restrooms to satisfy a bunch of shameless, selfish, and sinful cross- dressers who are violating the Scripture in Deut. 22:5: “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.”

No doubt some weak, wimpy, whiney, wobbly, wishy-washy preachers will also attend our protest, in opposition to us, suggesting that they represent biblical teaching. So be it. This is still America where weird, wacky, and wrong “men of the cloth” can display to the world their capitulation to the corrupt culture.

Moreover, it is interesting that no one in Houston or in any other American city is demanding to hear what Muslim imams are preaching! Isn’t that interesting? But we know that they are teaching jihad, that’s “fighting for the cause of Allah” and even recruiting fighters to fight in the Middle East! Right here in America! But her honor is not concerned about Muslims. Methodists and Baptists for sure, but not Muslims.

The mayor is a “predator protector” and that is not part of a mayor’s job description. She would be wiser and more productive to fill the pot holes instead of trying to intimidate preachers.
