reparations – Don Boys https://donboys.cstnews.com Common Sense for Today Sun, 05 Mar 2023 04:46:50 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=4.6.29 Slavery Is Alive and Well! https://donboys.cstnews.com/slavery-is-alive-and-well https://donboys.cstnews.com/slavery-is-alive-and-well#respond Thu, 03 Oct 2019 14:40:40 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=2425 Multiculturalists, being devoid of convincing arguments, use black slavery as a club to beat white people over the head and into submission. After clubbing by academia, media, and others, many Whites have capitulated to the Progressives’ guilt-preaching that has produced copious tears because of their cursed whiteness and white privilege.

Frankly, such unfair, untrue, and unfortunate “missionary” activity by Progressives is demeaning to Blacks and distorts the historical tragedy perpetrated by depraved white slavers, degenerate black chiefs, and desperate settlers in America and other areas of the world. Black slavery is a scandal, a scab, and a scar on the face of America and we must never permit it to be mistaken, muddled, or mitigated; however, with the fanatics in the media, a balanced narrative is unlikely to happen.

Honest white people are willing to say, “Okay, I’m embarrassed that white people were involved in such an obscene practice; but no living American slaves exist, nor do any slave-owners, nor do any of the ship captains. So can we tone it down a few notches?” But the whiners are like all fanatics who only have one message and refuse to stop talking about it. Like a bulldog with a tasty, meaty bone, they won’t let go.

The zealots in the media refuse to speak of a few southern farmers who owned slaves, and a few ship captains who transported slaves, and a few chiefs who sold their own people. They insist on collective guilt demanding that all whites wallow in shame and never look any decent person in the eyes and feel like the scum of the earth for being white.

Sorry, but I have no guilt for slavery; consequently, I will not pay a dollar of reparations because of those Blacks who are full-time victims wallowing in self-pity looking for lifetime handouts.

Since their dishonest, dishonorable, and disgraceful ploy will not work, I suggest the do-gooders (as opposed to those who do good) turn their efforts elsewhere. Like the actual slavery happening throughout the world. They should do something lasting rather than preach an empty message for financial gain and personal influence.

Many modern Blacks identify vicariously to attempt to transfer the pain, determination, and character of thousands of slaves who survived chattel slavery, but that won’t work. People aren’t noble, principled, and special because of past generations; each generation must fight their own battles, take the same stands, and reap their own rewards. They must also admit the failure of the culture of broken families, illegal drugs, illegitimate births, violence, etc., and play their part in doing something about the slide into a culture of disarray, decay, and death. All families are on a slippery slope but minority families are accelerating dangerously. It’s time to stop blaming others and make a positive effort toward a solution.

Young Blacks need to stay in school, get a job—any job, and keep their pants on and zipped up and pulled up. They need to talk in a way all English-speaking people can understand them. When married, they should keep their vows and show children what a real man and woman should be.

If the fanatic slavery whiners really do care about slavery, they can do something about the overt slavery in Mali where at least 200,000 people are held in direct servitude to masters. In March 2002, French television channel TF1 reported how about 15,000 children were abducted from Mali and were sold as slaves to work the cotton plantations in the Ivory Coast.

That would be a good place to start but who cares about Mali. Not much news there. So, a greater challenge would be India where it is estimated that there are forty million people, including fifteen million children, working in slave-like conditions as bonded laborers.

Serge Trifkovic courageously revealed the slavery by the Muslim Arabs in Mauritania and Sudan in his The Sword of the Prophet: A Politically-Incorrect Guide to Islam. “Contrary to the myth that Islam is a religion free from racial prejudice, slavery in the Moslem world has been, and remains, brutally racist in character. To find truly endemic, open, raw anti-Black racism and slavery today one needs to go to the two Islamic Republics in Africa: Mauritania and Sudan. Black people have been enslaved on such a scale that the term black has become synonymous with slave.”

I dealt with Muslim slavery in my book, ISLAM: America’s Trojan Horse! writing “Mohammed also permitted…the torture of a tribal chief to discover his hidden treasure. He accepted slavery as a law of nature.” I challenged domestic Muslim leaders to join me at the Sudan Embassy in Washington to “demand that Sudan stop its slavery and imprison all slavers–buyers and sellers.” I got no response.

Or, maybe one country is not enough of a challenge so they can take a shot at world slavery. The Topical Research Digest: Human Rights and Contemporary Slavery reports about 27 million slaves worldwide. However, it reveals that “Some human rights organizations have the number as high as 200 million” (Free the Slaves 2007).

Past and present and potential slavery is a problem that must be examined without presumption or prejudice, but with purpose and perseverance.

USA Today and New York Times’ 1619 Project a Sham, a Shame, and a Scheme! https://donboys.cstnews.com/usa-today-and-new-york-times-1619-project-a-sham-a-shame-and-a-scheme https://donboys.cstnews.com/usa-today-and-new-york-times-1619-project-a-sham-a-shame-and-a-scheme#respond Wed, 04 Sep 2019 20:09:36 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=2408 Major papers such as USA TODAY, The New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, and others have initiated major efforts to celebrate 400 years since the first Blacks were sold at Jamestown—a 1619 Project. They pull off the scab of slavery in prose, poetry, and pictures, a story often with pathos, pain, and prejudice. It seems to me that they have a clear agenda: tie Trump (and all Whites) to slavery with all its curses and promote reparations thereby satisfying all the race baiters and Progressives—but then I repeat myself.

I remind my readers that The New York Times editor recently admitted, “Look, we blew it on Russian collusion, didn’t work. Now we’re going to go to racism, that’s our new model. The next two years will be Trump and racism.” That secretly recorded confession was followed with the slavery series.

It’s called, “guilt by association” but Trump was not associated with slavery—neither was I.

The Times’ Nikole Hannah-Jones revealed in her “America Wasn’t a Democracy, Until Black Americans Made It One,” their second duplicitous motive, “If nothing else, I hope it shows the world that a bipartisan commission to study the issue of reparations is necessary and way past due.”

Bingo! A nefarious admission.

The Times’ series is interesting with some good information but is generally a handbook for radical racists who have more zeal than knowledge and more time than discretion.

Principled writers resolve to never write a lie and never refuse to publish the truth; however, this author has failed to honor that concept. She has woven disturbing truth with much error to express a racist agenda—blame Whitey and generalize leaving a scent of truth regarding the vile world of slavery to paint all living Whites as villains and all living Blacks as victims.

Nikole charged, “the United States simply would not exist without us.” That is an asinine, arrogant, and not accurate statement but she will not be required to give an account for such shallow and untrue balderdash because she is a minority and can plead the prestige of the Times. Of course, Virginia landowners would have been forced to work smaller tobacco farms, plant other crops, and make a smaller profit with the white indentured servants who quickly worked out of their contracts. Additionally, we would not have the positive and negative contributions that accrued from slavery.

Wiping the Kool-Aid from her quivering lips the author declared that black slaves “made Wall Street a thriving banking, insurance and trading sector and New York City the financial capital of the world.” If black slaves were essential to our success, why has that not happened in any other nation on earth? She failed to point out any African nation that is stable, secure, and successful because none exists.

Repeatedly, we have been told that America’s success is because it was built and sustained upon the backs of slaves and oppressive practices. But that dog won’t hunt. If black slavery is responsible for America’s greatness, where are all the successful black nations?

The wheel was unknown to sub-Saharan Africa as late as the mid-1800s according to Oxford University Professor John Baker in his book, Race! Furthermore, the diaries of Dr. David Livingstone, famous missionary, explorer, and medical doctor in Africa (some of whose steps my wife and I have followed) describe thousands of Africans coming out of their villages to see his “vehicles in motion and thus for the first time to observe the rotation of a wheel” Are racists trying to get us to believe that a people who didn’t have the wheel less than 200 years ago could be responsible for America’s success?

Of course, admitting that unpleasant fact makes me a racist in the twisted minds of racists—black and white.

Nikole charged that our founding fathers did not believe in the Constitution because of the infamous three-fifths clause. To determine representation each slave was counted less than one. This did not apply to free Blacks. Of course, our founders believed the words; however, they knew if they were to have a union, the compromise was essential. Their words “all men are created equal” were an acknowledgement of goals that would become reality when politically possible. It has now been accomplished even to the extent it seems some minorities are more than equal.

The writer declared, “Without the idealistic, strenuous and patriotic efforts of black Americans, our democracy today would most likely look very different—it might not be a democracy at all.” Well, we are a Republic not a democracy but without quibbling over that, her self-serving statement is a senseless, silly slap on the back. She insists that Blacks have as much claim to be “founding fathers” as Jefferson, Madison, Washington! Sure.

She characterized Jefferson’s Monticello as a “forced-labor camp” but evidently, she knows nothing about such camps and little about Monticello. While her article revealed some worthwhile information, it was also a racist promotion of Black Superiority.

Gasp!

She charged that American slavery was a “brutal system of slavery unlike anything that had existed in the world before. Chattel slavery was not conditional but racial.” She was wrong, since slavery was not automatically “racial” but economic. The plantation owners did not necessarily hate the slaves, it was an economic matter—if they did not have workers, it meant financial disaster. Similar to Apartheid in South Africa, it was a matter of survival. While that did not justify the ownership of any person, race was not a determinant to slavery.

Furthermore, evidently Nikole has little knowledge of world slavery. It is common knowledge that slavery in Brazil and the Caribbean was much more oppressive than in America. While sadistic slave owners always existed, they were not the norm in America; after all, slaves were an investment. Only a fool would destroy his own “property.” Some plantation owners provided days off, bonus, and retirement plans.

Nikole suggested that America “was founded not as a democracy but as a slavocracy.” Time after time she made sweeping general statements that contain a smattering of truth but are simply incorrect, irresponsible, and inflammatory.

This series clearly teaches that only Whites can be racists and are required to be super sensitive to their innate racism; however, Blacks are never, ever racists but should always be super sensitive to and magnify their victimization. And when Whites discuss racism, they must do so in a very subservient and contrite, almost apologetic tone. That is the message of this series.

Taking a deep breath, Nikole declared, “Anti-black racism runs in the very DNA of this country, as does the belief, so well articulated by Lincoln, that black people are the obstacle to national unity.” When one looks at the statements of black race baiters including leading white politicians it seems anti-white racism runs in the very DNA of America. And articles such as these only exacerbate the racial problem.

She closed her interesting, but highly biased article with, “But it was by virtue of our bondage that we became the most American of all.” Say what? “Most American of all!” Sounds exactly like, dare I say it, Black Supremacy.

No, that can’t be. Blacks always tell the truth, never twist and manipulate facts, and never express bigotry even though such people are as easily found in the media and academia as a bowling ball in a bathtub.

I ask the Times editor, “Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?” A quality organization would not produce a sham, a shame, and a scheme for any reason let alone promote black supremacy and advance a political agenda!

Reparations: Should Blacks be Paid for Slavery? https://donboys.cstnews.com/reparations-should-blacks-be-paid-for-slavery https://donboys.cstnews.com/reparations-should-blacks-be-paid-for-slavery#respond Sun, 18 Dec 2016 22:15:47 +0000 http://donboys.cstnews.com/?p=1679 The on-rushing bandwagon labeled “reparations” is full of explosives and will cause more racial fireworks than forced busing for school integration! The United Nations demanded that the U.S. pay Blacks for holding other Blacks as slaves and to compensate for recent police shootings of Blacks! The report was produced by the United Nations’ Working Group of Experts on African Descent and strongly condemned America’s “racist” history. Some African nations have demanded payment for their loss of population during slavery! What are these people smoking?

The UN group even likened the police shootings of Blacks in recent months to KKK lynchings! Devotees to reparations are expecting Obama to give birth to reparations by executive order before he leaves the White House. If he does so, it will support the charge that he is a dictator with a Harvard degree. He will also set off a massive explosion that will continue to tear America apart.

Reparation groups have been meeting for years demanding that “Whitey” pay for mistreated of Blacks more than 150 years ago. I think we overpaid reparations in blood when more than 700,000 Americans lost their lives resulting in freeing the slaves plus the trillions of dollars in welfare and affirmative action in recent years. Of course, no white person is alive who participated in the evil of slavery and no black victims are alive either. So, it’s a standoff. Let’s all go home.

Several black American groups are seeking reparations from the United States government for the time their alleged ancestors spent as slaves. The African World Reparations and Repatriation Truth Commission is demanding an astronomical $777 trillion! When pigs learn to fly in formation and do somersaults over the White House!

Radical blacks have demanded that U.S. taxpayers pay the descendants of slaves a suggested $100,000 each! But it gets worse because black leaders know they can parlay white guilt into much more cold cash. Hundreds of people attended the National Reparations Convention in Chicago on February 2-4 of 2001 where Howshua Amariel proposed that Blacks should receive free education, free medical care, free legal advice, and free financial aid with no taxes and if they wish to immigrate to Africa, they would each receive a million dollars!

H. Khalif Khalifah, founder of the National Black Reparations Alliance website, boldly declares, “There are no bad black people” and “Keep white people out of our membership ranks.” Check out the résumés of the major preachers and promoters of this scam. Many Black radicals such as screwy Louie Farrakhan, Congressman John Conyers, Father Divine, Johnnie Cochran, Elijah Muhammad, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Randall Robinson, etc., have supported reparations. Many Black Muslims are demanding a slice of the pie.

Of reparations, The Washington Post admitted, “The subject is scalding hot, untouchable as public policy. Even the brave run from it.” Yes, it is “scalding hot” but no, some of us are not running from this illegal, immoral, and incredible shakedown. And, make no mistake, it is just that: a shakedown, swindle, a scam of major proportions.

Furthermore, slavery was legal in the U.S. until 1865 with the passage of the 13th Amendment. Consequently, there were no laws broken. That is unless our black friends want to make slavery a crime retroactively.

Let’s establish some facts as a foundation for this discussion. Slavery has been a reality since the early days of civilization for a simple reason: Men are inherently wicked. Theologians call it “sin” that came down to us through our parents from Adam and Eve. Although far more whites have been enslaved than Blacks, that makes little difference in this discussion except for the record.

It is also a fact that black African chiefs enslaved their own people, marched them in chains to the west coast of Africa and sold them to Arab, Portuguese, English, and American traders. When the white slavers refused to pay the black slave traders’ asking price, the chiefs simply refused to sell. They knew how to get their price. It’s called waiting. The white slavers pouted in their ships just off shore as their food and water were depleted. Eventually, they capitulated and paid the asking price. The slaves were then distributed all over the world.

I also want to make clear that no slaves are alive today in America. If there were, I would agree that they be compensated. When I wrote AIDS: Silent Killer in 1987, I dealt with the now infamous Tuskegee study where black men were used and abused in medical experiments for many years by the U.S. Government. On numerous national and local talk shows, I advocated the prosecution of all responsible U. S. officials still alive and reparations for the few black men still living. But no slaves are alive today and it is insane to suggest any kind of payment after 150 years. Besides, that bill has been paid!

There are other problems: Who funds the scam and who profits from the scam? Since the money would come from the general U.S. Treasury then all taxpayers would be paying. That means Blacks would be paying for their own reparations! It also means that recent immigrants would be paying as well as descendants of those who arrived in America since the Civil War and had no connection to slavery. Furthermore, Northerners would be paying reparations when 350,000 of their distant relatives died “to free the slaves”! By what logic can that be justified? Since only one in five Southern families owned slaves why should all southerners pay for slavery perpetrated by others? Should American Indians pay reparations since they were here before Whites or slaves? Of course, some Indians owned black slaves and even ate them during bad times!

Then there is the task of determining what Blacks qualify for payment. All Blacks did not descend from slave parents. If one could justify reparations for Blacks who are descendants of slave families, how do we know which Blacks are descendants of slaves? Many present-day Blacks are descendants of free Blacks! Some Blacks would be receiving money for mistreatment that did not involve them or their relatives. That is dishonest. It is all based on self-identification–not reliable when big bucks are involved.

There is another problem that is unknown by most Americans: About 3,775 Blacks owned slaves in the South so how do we differentiate between those living Blacks who had ancestors who were slaves and those whose ancestors were not slaves but were in fact, slaveholders? By paying money (ripped from hard-working taxpayers of all races) to Blacks whose ancestors owned slaves, we would be rewarding slavery.

Many Americans are aghast at the possibility that Blacks actually owned their own people, but it is a fact of history. The American Heritage magazine cited the 1830 U.S. Census: “There were 3,775 free blacks who owned 12,740 black slaves! The father of American slavery was Anthony Johnson of Northampton, VA. His slave was named John Casor who was the first slave for life. Both owner and owned were black!” (Philip Burnham, “Selling Poor Steven,” American Heritage, Feb./Mar. 1993, Vol. 44, p. 90.)

But the Johnson case is even more tangled because he (and other Blacks) also held white slaves! Johnson (died 1670) was an Angolan slave who lived in the colony of Virginia. He was an indentured servant, as were most white workers in early Virginia, and earned his freedom and became a wealthy tobacco farmer. He bought the contracts of five indentured servants (four were white and one black). As bad as this was, it was usually not racist but economic. So, in the Days of Reparations how are we going to pay the descendants of the white slaves or don’t those slaves matter?

But in the end, I must endorse reparations! Every living slaveholder should go to prison for life and every living slave should receive one million dollars. That should take care of that.

Now I can go home since I solved that problem.
