Did You Know?

…that we Christians don’t hold to truth because it is ancient but because it is accurate?

…that it is better to fight clumsily than not to fight at all?

…that when Christians disagree, the inerrant Word must be the final Appeal, Authority and Arbiter?

…that thousands of children of Christian parents, as young as six, have been abducted and sold as slaves in Sudan, Libya and other Moslem countries?

…that the Egyptian government, which has received billions of U. S. welfare dollars, has imprisoned and tortured Christian converts to appease Islamic fundamentalists?

…that the U. S. Government refused to close a U. S. sponsored nightclub in Saudi Arabia but did close down Sunday worship services at our embassy?

…that few people talk about sin anymore since everyone seems to have “addictions” such as booze, food, tobacco, sex, gambling, etc.?

…that major Republican leaders are no more a conservative than a groundhog?

…that if Obama is the answer then the question really must be dumb?

…that the Roman state fought against Christians calling them “criminals,” “lawless men,” public enemies,” “dregs of the nations,” and “monstrous phenomena”?

…that right reasoning cannot endanger sound faith?

…that all your financial eggs will be scrambled when the dollar falls if they are in the same basket?

…that a California church fussed over whether Adam and Eve had belly buttons, and they split and formed another church called the Church of Navelites?

…that Adam’s problem was not appetite but ambition—to be like God?

…that Moody Monthly said that “For Christians to flatly dismiss musicians because they use four-letter words or sexual references, diminishes the likelihood that people will ever hear our message”?

…that Cicero’s brother drew up his brother’s campaign plan saying, “Be lavish in your promises. Men prefer a false promise to a flat refusal”?

…that Caligula let Roman senators kiss his feet, lived in habitual incest with all his sisters, had homosexual liaisons, fed bald headed prisoners to wild animals, declared himself god and appointed his horse as one of the priests?

…that Caligula’s horse, Incitatus, had a stable of marble, with an ivory manger, purple blankets, and a collar of precious stones?

…that Jesus Christ is still the hope of this world?

Fact, Fraud or Faith?

by Don Boys, Ph.D.

Only an uninformed fanatic says that evolution or creation can be proved scientifically. Christians believe in creationism because we believe in the veracity of the Bible but we also have scientific evidence to support our position. In every debate I’ve had with evolutionary scientists, the arrogant, asinine accusation is made, “Well, evolution is scientific while creationism is religion.” Evolution is about as scientific as a voodoo rooster plucking ceremony in Haiti. Almost.
