President Trump Should Appoint Spiritual Advisors Who Are Biblical, Not Bizarre Like Paula White!

President Trump is in a dilemma since he has little knowledge of spiritual issues and must walk a thin line between opposing religious groups. The religious right was the determining factor in the last election and will be again this year. Consequently, he gets advice from people such as Jerry Falwell, Jr., Franklin Graham, Robert Jeffress, and others who would be acceptable to many Evangelicals and some Fundamentalists. I have differences with all three who seem to have little criticism of Trump. However, Trump hurts his credibility when he puts his imprimatur on bizarre advisors such as “Pastor” Paula White.
White is a “name it and claim it” prosperity “pastor” with a net worth of five million dollars. She was reared by an alcoholic mother, and between ages six and thirteen, Paula was sexually and physically abused by various people. Her father committed suicide, after which she, her brother, and mother were forced into poverty and lived on welfare. With such a résumé, Paula is to be commended for her perseverance and tenacity, if not her authenticity.
She professed Christ as a teenager and said, “When I was just eighteen years old, the Lord gave me a vision that every time I opened my mouth and declared the Word of the Lord, there was a manifestation of His Spirit where people were healed, delivered, or saved. When I shut my mouth, they fell off into utter darkness, and God spoke to me and said ‘I called you to preach the gospel.’”
Sure! Except most historic Christians have always believed the Bible teaches only male preachers are called. That was supported by Samuel Johnson, “arguably the most distinguished man of letters in English history,” who declared, “Sir, a woman’s preaching is like a dog’s walking on his hind legs. It is not done well; but you are surprised to find it done at all.”
Paula, not only a preacher but also a “pastor,” was married from 1984 until 1989 to Dean Knight, who was an assistant pastor to his father at the Damascus Church of God in Maryland. She and Randy White divorced their spouses and were married about a year later. They were married from 1990 until 2007 when Randy announced they agreed to divorce, and he decided to be the fall guy.
In 2010, Paula was involved with international faith healer Benny Hinn (worth $60 million), according to the National Enquirer that published a front-page photo of the two holding hands while leaving a Rome hotel. Both said they were only friends. The article, released July 23, 2010, claimed the two “spent three nights in a five-star hotel Hinn booked under a false name…” The article reported that the Hinns had a “troubled marriage.”
Keep in mind the Enquirer is the gossip tabloid famous for attacking Christian leaders; however, the paper has broken some major stories. Both Hinn and White denied any sexual immorality. Maybe that’s true, but they can’t deny their apparent stupidity.
President Trump has had too many stupid people around him, and should remove Paula as quickly as he would shed long underwear in a Florida heat wave.
Paula has appeared with T. D. Jakes (considered her “spiritual father”), John Hagee, Bill Hybels, I. V. Hilliard, and Charles Blake at a conference of pastors in Orlando in 2011. She gave Jakes a black Bentley convertible that has a starting price of $220,000 as a birthday present.
Jakes is a prosperity gospel preacher (and it seems to work since he is worth over $150 million) and is against homosexuality but believes it is acceptable for the government to give them freedom in their perversion. He is trying to ride a horse in two directions at the same time.
Jakes is known as a “Jesus Only” pastor, meaning he does not believe in the basic doctrine of the Trinity; however, Christianity Today declared that he is moving away from that position. Paula asserted that she does believe in the Trinity—the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Paula made waves from shore to shore when she declared, “Anyone who tells you to deny yourself is from Satan.” However, Matthew 16:24 declares, “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” Each person can decide whether to take the position of Paula or Christ.
Jakes and other highly visible prosperity preachers are considered fringe by the old line Pentecostals, who are very decent and sincere people. The prosperity preachers are an embarrassment to the original Holiness groups and should be an embarrassment to President Trump, although he too is ecumenical or too uninformed to be embarrassed.
Paula served as pastor of two megachurches in Florida. She and Randy founded the South Tampa Christian Center in 1991. The church name was changed to Without Walls International Church. In 2002, the 14,000-member church expanded to Lakeland and started Without Walls Central Church. In 2004, Without Walls International Church reported a congregation of 20,000, making it the 17th largest church in the US. Paula divorced Randy in 2007, and he left Without Walls in 2011 after rumors of Paula’s alleged affair with a fellow evangelist.
In July 2009, Paula became senior pastor at the Tampa church after Randy resigned “for health reasons.” Maybe living with her had been dangerous to his health. In Jan. 2011, she became the senior pastor of Without Walls Central Church in Lakeland. This church was interracial but primarily a black congregation that was still reeling from the scandal of their former pastor who “was found in a Times Square hotel room, dead from a cocaine overdose.”
She was now top honcho of both megachurches but was having trouble paying the power bill—then she lost her power! The church building was abandoned, and on January 1, 2012, she became the senior pastor of New Destiny Christian Center (now City of Destiny) in Apopka quickly becoming known for its outreach to people in need.
What a mess.
The Apopka Mayor Joe Kilsheimer said, “What I see her doing in the community… is of tremendous value to Apopka and northwest Orange County.” No doubt, she did some good while serving as the church’s leader; however, she did much harm by her compromising lifestyle, her false preaching, and her greedy demand for more money. Sometimes she spoke the truth, but it was often lost or mixed with much error. No surprise that her huge churches failed.
In June of 2012, Randy, Paula’s former husband, became pastor of the original church in Tampa. In 2014, the Without Walls International Church filed for bankruptcy, although Paula was now pastoring in Apopka. Paula said, “I’ve never filed bankruptcy. I had resigned Without Walls. I had absolutely no part.” While Randy originally agreed to take the blame for their divorce, he now claims his “ex-wife had stolen over $2,000,000 dollars out of his bank account to fund her various plastic surgeries.”
What an expensive mess.
In May of 2019, Paula resigned as pastor of the Apopka church and was replaced by her son and his wife as senior pastors. Paula moved up the hierarchal ladder to be “apostolic overseer” at the church, which is not an established biblical position.
She met her present (twice-divorced) husband, Jonathan Cain, on a Southwest flight. He was married with three children at that time. Cain is a member of the Journey rock band famous for rock hits he has written. Cain, struggling to justify ditching his second wife and children, whined, “I was in a bad marriage….I had to tell my wife that I didn’t love her….It was the best thing I could have done in my life…” He makes himself the hero instead of the zero for the breakup.
Furthermore, his account of his salvation experience is very, very shaky.
Jonathan’s band plays Las Vegas casinos, and Paula fully supports him, according to some of her tweets. That is strange Christianity.
At the 2913 Trumpet Awards (for black entertainment), she dressed in a strapless, very low cut gown (a show and tell special), and she is often seen in skintight pants or a seductive, low-cut dress. She boasted, “I work my hips and lips.” What kind of talk is that from a “pastor”?
Of course, the media is loving it all as they ridicule being “saved,” and the expensive suits, dresses, jet planes, exotic vacations, and million-dollar mansions of ministers of the Gospel.
This is the woman Trump appointed to head up the Faith and Opportunity Initiative at the Office of Public Liaison. She also prayed at Trump’s inauguration.
Paula says she is a “former messed up Mississippi girl” who has had some troubled times, but it seems the Mississippi girl has come a long way but is still messed up.
The Paula White mess makes Harper Valley PTA and the Hollywood serial marriages, fornications, and adulteries look like a group of junior high girls fussing over the star football player.
Moreover, Paula should be removed from the Trump administration since she is a bomb waiting to explode; plus, all she adds to the team is a little beauty but fewer brains and much baggage.

The God Haters
Angry Atheists, Shallow Scholars, Silly Scientists, Pagan Preachers & Embattled Evolutionists Declare War Against Christians
by Don Boys, Ph.D.
Angry Atheists, Shallow Scholars, Silly Scientists, Pagan Preachers, and Embattled Evolutionists are, of necessity, attacking the Bible for if they can denounce, deny, distort, and denigrate it, they will win more converts to atheism. They have been waging this war for a few years and most of us have ignored their books, television interviews, and university debates because they have just been more of the typical dog and pony shows that the most fanatical God haters have created for centuries. They want a fight, and while I consider atheists to be unimpressive fools, I’m willing to take them on. No quarter asked or given.
